Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 243 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently reported significant issues with customer service, describing agents as unhelpful, difficult to understand due to language barriers, and often rude or dismissive. The overall process was found frustrating and annoying, marked by long hold times, unacknowledged concerns, and a lack of flexibility, while the website and software were criticized for being outdated, buggy, and hard to navigate. Proctors were frequently unprofessional, abrupt, and sometimes terminated exams without clear justification. I would not even give a single star for…

I would not even give them a single star. Their customer service and ticket team is the worst I have ever seen. They do not inform you if a ticket is raised. They don't give updates on the ticket. Please don't take this exam. Every time you have to call customer service to get an update on the ticket. And they put you on hold for a very long time and give invalid recent updates.

The reviews speak for themselves

The reviews speak for themselves. If you dont have to work with this company, just don't. Do yourself a favor and ignore them at all cost. Terrible Customer service, I mean I have alot of time for dealing with customer service but wow, this company takes the top place for the rudest I have ever dealt with.

Acceptable as long as everything goes right

Fine as long as everything goes right. If anything goes wrong it's a nightmare.

Customer support is there but fairly rogue, some members will help, some will not, no timelines, or information on where to find things.

I had an issue with taking a salesforce exam, it just would not load. Same system I have taken the last 4 exams.

Reached out for help:
- What is your candidate ID? - Where do I find it, no answer
- Give me the information from the email - What is the subject ID so I can find the email? no answer
- We will create a case - What is the approx response time so I can plan my day? 2-3 days, which is fine but I would be taking my test now if there wasn't some kind of VUE system issue.

Very frustrating service. But they did have online chat and people helping. So that's good.

Oh my goodness what a shit show

Oh my goodness what a shit show! Pearson Vue, has a way of making a stressful situation from the beginning to the end. From customer service to the horrible website. Schedule an exam at a local community college. Paid for everything and showed up to the campus and the entire campus was closed. None of the dozens who showed for the exam were notified on a day where the temps were -10 degrees. Was told by a custodian the everything was closed. Had to reschedule and was so pissed and stressed out about the initial experience that I failed. Rescheduled the exam by phone and found out they'd scheduled me for the wrong exam. I was on the phone with a woman named Jessie for over an hour and she couldn't get me connected with a supervisor to make sure my exam will still take place on the day I took off of work to do it. Opened a "ticket" to get this corrected. Which unfortunately sounds like it's too little too late. Each day I take a vacation to take the exam is costing me over $350 to take a day off of work. This has been 3 days now. Unfortunately this is the only way to take the exam in my state. Pearson Vue is literally laughing all the way to the bank on the backs of the blue collar working class. Shame on them.

Literally a scam

Literally a scam. They approved my setup to begin the exam, then 5 minutes later just ended the exam with no change. Refusing to reschedule or refund.

Terrible experience - should be banned

Terrible experience - my child was disturbed by the 'proctor' throughout the test including taking the mouse away and trying to adjust the exam program because they did not know how to allow the candidate to have the approved adjustment - wasted half the exam time doing this.
The complaint/appeal process is even worse. No one does anything and keeps delaying responding to the complaint.
Pearson Vue should be banned from holding these tests.

Terrible company

Terrible company, Really wish there were other companies administering these certification tests. Pearson Vue charged me $500 to take a certification exam i need for work then the online exam proctor suddenly kicked me off when i was taking the exam for no reason. The company wont respond to me contacts just keeps saying the case is "in review" and I lost my job because I dont have the cert even-though I can easily pass the exam. More to that their customer service is terrible, got yelled at rep because I couldnt understand what he had very strong Indian accent and i asked him (only asked him one time ) to please repeat the question. They should honestly get sued for monopolizing certification exam taking and making all kind off shady deals with cert companies.

Chat support strung me along for over an hour when they knew they couldn't solve my problem

I didn't receive an email confirming that I passed a test. I contacted chat support to see if they could resend it.

The experience was absolutely horrible. After talking to me for an hour, and telling me over and over that they were looking into it, they finally told me that they didn't have the ability to see any details of exams that people take - passing or failure.

OK, they have restricted access. I get that. I'm annoyed at Pearson that they don't empower their chat representatives to solve problems for customers. That's not the fault of the support rep.

What what I'm really annoyed at - what I'm mad about - is that the support rep strung me along for over an hour, wasting my time, when they knew they couldn't do anything for me.

I would have been much less upset if they just said 'hey, I can't do that for you, but I'll pass it along to someone who can help you and they'll get back to you in a couple of days'. That would have take a minute or two and I could have moved on with my day. Instead I'm staring at a chat window for over an hour with misguided hope that this person could solve my problem.

The Pearson Vue online requirements are not clear.

The Pearson Vue requirements are not clear or easy to find online for online testing. Because of this I will need to reschedule the test. The support to reschedule is only during the weekday and there is zero weekend or after hours support. For anyone doing the the first time it is horrible. I would recommend going to the test center in person.

Avoid!

I had to give 1 star in order to get this rating shown.
I have been waiting for a refund for over 1 month and multiple calls and emails they are still unable to resolve this issue.

The call centres are based in India and lines are often bad and they do not understand what the issue is.

I have been cut off multiple times and over 20 emails sent to try and resolve this issue.

It would be a great business idea for someone who took an interest in this area to start a similar business with better processes and customer service as this company have the monopoly

It's a Scam

I studied harder than I ever have in my life on my SOCE state test, I was confident in my knowledge and passing. Three attempts, I failed, that's all I get. Some stuff I didn't know, (never even seen in the textbook) but some of the stuff I learned by textbook were put as wrong on the test looking back on a review I paid to do. There were many questions that had three right answers and there would be one that's "even more right" than the right answers. Four answer multiple choice questions. $330 wasted on a test that's made by people that are only in it for the money, that's the vibe I got.

Horrible communcation with PearsonVUE

Horrible communcation with PearsonVUE.

Wanted to plan an exam for a Meta Certification. Got through the order proces and even had my business partner and the co-owner of the company in the video call, screen share, to acknowledge what we were reserving.

For some reason, the exam was mutated to 3:30AM instead of 3:30PM. Knowing the exam was at 3:30AM, we would never reserved this time slot. Who makes an exam at 3:30AM anyway?

Got in contact with customer support who basically told me that there's no option to co-operate with me or to take my complaint seriously. "It's policy" they said.

If you were ever to do an online exam with this comapny. I cannot recommend this company, at all.

This was a nightmare for me

This was a nightmare for me. I registered and did everything exactly right. Studied, and then it kept saying that i needed to login to Pearson...but never received any login or the opportunity to create an account. Then, it said i needed to login to MSFT which i did and ran the systems check their and again, no way to get in to the system. The chat help person just wouldn't acknowledge anything i was saying and just asked if i wanted to reschedule over and over again. It was very strange and probably a bot. Just cannot understand how the customer service could be so hard to navigate ...its a simple thing really, but it was incredibly demeaning the way the conversation went.

What is wrong with piece of paper and a pen?????
Was told I can't use it, luckily found a whiteboard in the office but it was rejected due to having days printed on it!!!

Ended up writing calculations on my desk like a psycho. At least it was a whiteboard marker. Otherwise was told to reschedule!
