Friction and cooperation difficulties

Got a notification that one of my items were out of stock, where Outdoorexperten asked if I wanted to cancel that item.

I asked if they could place my order on hold until the item arrived, but that was not possible. Then, I asked if I could get a similar item. It was kids pants, and the replacement item was 50kr more expensive, but I thought - Hey, they might do the replacement as a token of appreciation. This, they could not do.

Finally, I got a call from Outdoorexperten where they asked how I wished to proceed with the order. Since it was still possible to order the item on their homepage, I asked why they could not simply wait to send my order until the item was in stock again. The representative said that my particular size of the item was out of stock also at their suppliers. Ok, so please send a larger size of the item. Unfortunately, the representative said, that would take too long time for them to do.

I ended up cancelling my entire order and ordered the items from a somewhat more expensive store, but without any fuzz.
