I would like to thank NPS Law for dealing with my house house purchase. Only a few issues that NPS dealt with before they become a problem, one downside is the app needs work in the way it works and the up date input. Over all very happy with the overall case..

Good quality Conveyancing

NPS provided us with conveyancing services during our recent house purchase. The process was managed by Hera and she was assisted by Kamilla. Couldn't fault them. Despite some vendor solicitor delays, NPS worked hard and carried out the process as quickly as possible and kept us up to date throughout. Price was also very competitive.

Hera and Kamilla have been fantastic throughout. Hands down the best firm I've used in YEARS. From the start to finish they have been attentive, answered queries quickly and proactively, which I do find rare. They've enabled me to complete in c.3-months, and I'm pretty sure we could have gone faster if needed. Would absolutely use again, especially given the reasonable price point. I've had firms charge far more and been far less efficient - this was a breathe of fresh air.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service, communication, and overall handling of my property purchase.

As a first-time buyer purchasing an empty property with no onward chain, I expected the transaction to be relatively straightforward. Instead, it took over 20 weeks to complete, with very little progress being communicated to me throughout the process.

The biggest issue throughout was the complete lack of communication. NPS Law provides a client portal which is supposedly designed to keep clients updated on the progress of their case. Unfortunately, the portal was rarely updated, making it almost entirely pointless as a source of information. The only way to find out what was happening was to continually chase for updates.

I regularly submitted update requests through the portal, which allows customers to do so every 24 hours, and I also sent emails on an almost daily basis requesting information. Most of these requests were either ignored or met with vague responses. On the occasions when I did receive a reply, I was repeatedly told that my query would be passed to the solicitor and that someone would get back to me. In reality, that follow-up rarely, if ever, happened.

What is particularly concerning is that it took approximately three weeks from the searches being returned for the solicitor to even review the case. During that period there was no meaningful communication explaining the delay or providing reassurance that any progress was being made.

The situation became so frustrating that the only time I was able to speak to my solicitor and receive any meaningful feedback was after I expressed my intention to seek alternative legal representation. It should not take a threat of moving to another solicitor for a client to receive a response or an update on their own case.

The poor communication continued right through to completion. On the day of completion, after receiving a phone call confirming that the funds had been transferred, I then received an email around 20 minutes later informing me that NPS Law had forgotten to send me documents that required both my signature and the signature of a witness. Despite having held my completion funds for three days beforehand, they had also failed to include an additional £1,000 that needed to be transferred that same day. This last-minute oversight caused unnecessary stress on what should have been one of the most exciting days of the entire process.

I immediately tried to contact my solicitor to understand what had happened, but neither she nor her team were available. The member of staff who answered my call assured me that my query would be marked as urgent and that someone would get back to me as soon as possible. Instead, I waited over an hour and a half before eventually receiving a response by email. Given the urgency of the situation, this level of communication was completely unacceptable.

Unfortunately, the poor service did not end after completion. I was owed money due to a service charge adjustment, yet 10 days after completion those funds still had not been transferred to me. I provided my bank details promptly when requested, but I was still left chasing money that was rightfully owed to me, with no meaningful communication explaining the delay.

Buying a property is one of the most significant financial commitments a person can make. Clients should not have to spend weeks chasing basic information, wondering whether their file is being worked on, dealing with avoidable last-minute errors on completion day, or even after completion having to pursue money that is owed to them.

Based on my experience, the service was characterised by poor communication, excessive delays, a lack of transparency, avoidable administrative errors, and a failure to keep clients informed at every stage of the transaction. I would not recommend NPS Law to anyone looking for a responsive, proactive, or customer-focused conveyancing service.

Avoid!

Do not use. Didn’t read statements correctly and incorrectly moved money on completion. Didn’t accept responsibility for their error and we’re left waiting for huge refunds due to their error. Avoid!

All about customer service.

Ours was slightly complicated but very urgent case and Yusuf Tariq was absolutely on it! Proactive with his communication, understanding of the situation, and got it over the line, despite the other side clearly not having the word 'urgent' in their dictionary.
Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Junaid Mohammed in my capacity as an estate agent. Junaid's client purchased a property through our office, he was always extremely responsive & friendly, assisted greatly in a challenging case, and had it not have been for his involvement, his client would have most likely ended up losing the property. Thank you.

Poor service & unprofessional

Communication, advice and general understanding of buying a house seemed very poor. For example, our searches were delayed for two weeks due to our solicitor not checking her emails or phone. It took the solicitors of the person we were buying from to tell you guys how to do your job to get them done.

We were then further delayed by a month as our ISA required 28 days notice to withdraw. This was another thing our solicitor was clueless about and not only delayed the process further, but actually made you guys look very stupid in the eyes of our sellers solicitors.

It might cost more but I'd recommend going with someone more professional as we felt like we've had to do the solicitors job for them but had to pay for the privilege.

We bought at auction so timescales were tight. Ellen did a fantastic job working at pace to make sure everything was in place comfortably within timescales. The online portal provides great oversight of the conveyancing process including progress to date and remaining items to complete.

Highly Recommended – Professional and Responsive

I recently used NPS Solicitors to assist with a complex property settlement involving multiple property transfers, and I'm pleased with the service I received.

A special thank you to Yousaf Shah and Salma Jehangir who were both professional, approachable and responsive throughout the process. They kept me informed at each stage, explained matters clearly, and were always happy to answer my questions. Although the transaction involved several parties and took time to complete, they remained supportive and worked hard to bring everything to a successful conclusion.

I particularly appreciated their patience and clear communication, which gave me confidence throughout what could have been a very stressful process.

Thank you again to Yousaf, Salma and the team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NPS Solicitors to anyone looking for professional and reliable legal services.
