We had an excellent experience with…
We had an excellent experience with Zara Younis and Fatima Kureishi while purchasing our property. They were both incredibly helpful, professional, and attentive from start to finish. They kept us informed throughout the process, answered all our questions clearly, and made sure everything progressed as smoothly as possible. Their support and dedication gave us complete confidence and made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. We’re extremely grateful for all their hard work and would highly recommend Zara, Fatima, and NPS Law to anyone needing assistance with a property purchase.
If we could give more than five stars
If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! From the very beginning of our property purchase to the very end, Fatima Kureishi and Zara Younis were nothing short of exceptional. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care made such a difference throughout the entire process, and we honestly could not have asked for anyone better to guide and support us.
Fatima was always approachable, responsive, and proactive, ensuring we were kept informed and supported at every stage. No question was ever too small, and she consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled efficiently and with the utmost attention to detail. Her excellent communication and reassurance made what can often be a stressful experience feel so much easier.
What truly sets her apart is the pride she takes in her work and the genuine care she shows to her clients. We never felt like just another case; she made us feel valued and supported throughout the process. Her commitment, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile are qualities that deserve to be recognised.
Fatima and Zara are an absolute credit to their profession and an invaluable asset to their team. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had them handling our property purchase and would recommend Fatima and Zara without a moment’s hesitation. They both have set an exceptionally high standard, and we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done. Fatima and Zara are both absolute stars who deserves every bit of praise and recognition!
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her supporting us through such an important milestone. If you are looking for a paralegal who is exceptional at what she does, genuinely cares about her clients, and consistently goes above and beyond, we would recommend her without hesitation. She deserves every bit of recognition for the outstanding work she does. An absolute star and a true asset to her team!
A huge thank you to Fatima Kureishi, Zara Younis and the team at NPS Law for making our property purchase such a positive experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend NPS Law to anyone looking for outstanding service and support throughout their property journey!
First time buyer and onboarding
First time buyer. Easy onboarding process.easy step by step instructions from Nazish Jamil very helpful so far throughout the process.
awful in every way
I had to use solicitors to sell a house in the UK which was owned by a parent who is now in a care home and I used an LPA (power of attorney) to sell the house. NPS were so bad that I had to threaten them with going to another solicitor to get the house sale completed. As it was the process took SIX MONTHS (after finding a buyer) and was one of the most stressful experiences of my life.
The person handling the case NEVER called me (I do not live in the UK) and getting any kind of update was hard. I think the whole process could have been done a month quicker if not earlier thanks to them. At one point I was sent a form to sign acting as attorney for the parent and other form for the parent to sign! This is despite it being obvious from the first form that I was acting as attorney and also being clear from the 500 pounds extra I was paying to do the sale using an LPA. These forms (which were critical to the sale) were sent a week before the first attempt at completion with an urgency to return the physically signed forms by "next day delivery". In fact these forms could have been signed months earlier without a last minute rush. Eventually they accepted that I would sign both forms acting as attorney as should have been done from the start.
Unfortunately, the first exchange date was missed and the person handling the case went on leave that exact day (the term "demob happy comes to mind"). This made things go from bad to worse because the case sat UNALLOCATED and I had to phone daily to get the case allocated again. You would think that there would be automatic allocation of cases in the queue like this, more so when the estimated completion date has just passed and been missed. Eventually after threatening to take the case to another solicitor, somebody was allocated and things moved dramatically quicker - I think this second person could have handled the whole case substantially quicker than the five months the first person took.
Of course for the house sale I had to do various video selfies and sending in old utility bills - this seems unavoidable in the UK thanks to lack of digital ID and population register to prove address. I can only laugh at the poor Brits having to put up with this when I have bought two houses and two flats in my new home country without hiring legal professionals and 2-4 weeks is the normal time from making an offer to getting the keys (yes, that is TWO to FOUR weeks and no legal costs at all!!).
The online tool that NPS use for the sale is pitiful and typical of third party software bought by small businesses like solicitors and GP surgeries. They do not use all the features and use some features differently to how was intended. There were two ways for me to upload documents and I never understood the difference. The solicitors didn't upload documents from their side properly either, uploading the first set of documents three times - as if they didn't know how to use their own tool. Some features were totally unused, like the "diary" which never showed ANYTHING, not even the completion date or exchange of contracts date (despite the tool showing these dates in other places). The tool gave almost no visibility for me of what was happening and the only thing I was useful for was a way to upload scanned documents instead of email them.
Happily the house sale is over and I received the money. It's all over! I will never buy or sell a property in the UK again and will never have to deal with this or any other UK solicitor again. What a relief.
Postscript: I waited a month after completion (and receiving the money for the house) before submitting this review, during this time the online tool always showed we were at "pre-exchange" despite completion having taken place. Three weeks after completion there was an entry from the solicitor which said "XXX closed their side of the case and marked it as successful" but even though this was entered into the tool, the status still showed "pre-exchange". So the transaction status is not updated even if completion takes place and the solicitor marks the case as successful !!

Poor Return - Time wasting
Hello,
I was transferred from HomeLegal Direct to NPS Law, and for over four months I have been trying to progress the purchase of a property.
Unfortunately, communication with NPS Law has been extremely poor. It has been almost impossible to reach anyone, and despite leaving numerous messages, I rarely receive a response. Emails and phone calls are often answered only after several weeks.
I understand that property purchase processes can be lengthy. However, when obtaining updates is so difficult and tasks remain pending at NPS Law for weeks at a time, it becomes incredibly frustrating. I have spent a significant amount of time and effort trying to keep the process moving forward, and I have now reached the point where I am exhausted by the lack of progress.
As a result of this experience, I have decided to withdraw from the purchase of the property.
My recommendation to you would be to consider working with a more proactive firm that can provide timely support throughout the process. I would also encourage taking recommendations and experiences from previous clients into account when selecting future partners.
Kind regards,
Hakan Bulu
