Overall experience very good.

I've used National Express many times and a few recently.

The booking process is easy, the overall experience is very good.
The drivers are polite and helpful. Depending on the time, they'll play a movie on the bus. The seats are generally quite comfortable. WC at the back.

Downside last year, the bus did not have an air conditioner (summer time), unfortunately and the journey was a bit of a torture...

Depending on the journey it's best to reserve your seats.
I've travelled to London twice; once with not many other passengers which was OK to find a seat, and sit together with my partner, but on another occasion 7am in the morning, with loads of people asleep, not even care if there's someone else looking for a seat, at the next stop, so it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
The overall conclusion is, buy your tickets and reserve your seats to save on the disappointment. Other than that very good.

Due to an accident on the motorway

Due to an accident on the motorway, our coach was delayed by 3 hours, which I understand was unavoidable. But, I would have appreciated a separate coach being put on to take us home. The 3 hour wait was very draining for me as I was tired from going through security and the plane journey. There were national express coaches to Liverpool also showing up, so again I think you could have put a separate coach on. I decided to just ask if we could get on, they said no because the ticket I had wasn’t for that time. I understand that other people had paid for that time and there might not have been enough space. He did let me on, but if he hadn’t my concern would have been having to wait longer. So I think something could have been done, such as a replacement coach. Thank you.

We had an appalling journey to Stansted

We had an appalling journey to Stansted. We boarded at Finchley Road and immediately the coach started shuddering. This continued the entire way with the driver being so concerned that he drove a lot of the journey on the hard shoulder of the M11, clearly thinking he might have to stop completely. The coach was obviously late but could also have broken down completely. The coach could not have been fit for the journey even as it left Paddington. As everyone had flights to catch this was dreadful. Never again
