When my husband passed away it was the first time that I had to deal with confirmation and I didn’t have a clue where to start. I had spoken to a lawyer but the fees were very high. Then I found My Probate Partner online. Costs and service provided were clear and much more affordable than what I had been quoted from other companies. I would recommend them to anyone having to go through the confirmation process.

Lucy and the team worked very efficiently in preparing our documents for confirmation. In particular they advised on how to clarify the will, drafting court letters etc for us.

From start to finish, the team at My Probate Partner were an immense help. These guys have nailed this process, everything is very efficient, some automated communications and Sharon was an amazing case manager helping me through the entire process. Once I received all appropriate information with perfectly clear instructions on what to do next to prepare to submit to Sheriff Court, we submitted and received Grant of Confirmation from the Courts within 1 week. Overall the process only took 2 weeks...remarkable! I used a solicitor before with another deceased relative and it took 1 year and was three times the cost. I was initially dubious about using this service but after a hefty quote by a solicitor, decided to give it a try. The team are super responsive and knowledgeable and worth every penny. If you are able to contact organisations yourself, and manage some paperwork, this service will provide you with the expertise and confidence to work through the whole process. Our paperwork was accepted by court first time and we were able to finalise the estate in the quickest possible time. Highly recommend.

This service allowed me to complete the necessary task whilst avoiding the expense of a solicitor.
The service is clear and fairly easy to follow. If things get confusing you can contact your designated agent via email for help. They always answer promptly and personally. You’re dealing with human beings and not a computer program! And these people know what they’re doing.

Our experience with My Probate Partner was excellent from start to finish. From an initial conversation with Mike to completion of the process with our case worker Lucy the support was professional, responsive and sympathetic.

Excellent service from the initial phone call to receiving the approved confirmation from the sheriff's office.
My case manager, Sharon, was always helpful, efficient and quick to respond to any questions I had. This took away any stress associated with the application and was much preferable to dealing with a solicitor. I also felt more in control of the whole process a I could do it at my own pace and could follow every step.

As I'm sure other reviewers have mentioned, the duties of an executor weigh heavily so soon after losing your loved one. There's often no clear indication of how to deal with the formalities apart from the shared experience of others. My brother and I assumed we would instruct a solicitor and, with no obvious choice, we thought we'd go with the solicitor that our Mum had used to draw up her Will. That was until we found out how much it was going to cost. £3000 + VAT (so £3600) PLUS 3% of the value of the estate. Even our Mum's modest estate (mostly the value of her house) would've landed us with a bill of around £11000! I did some 'shopping around' on the internet and every solicitor seemed to indicate fees around the same ballpark. Then I saw My Probate Partner on Google and followed the link and was so glad I did. I'm naturally very sceptical about unconventional methods (i.e, in our case not using a solicitor) but after checking out MPP's Trustpilot page, I was sure we could put our trust (and a LOT less money) in them. I had never seen a company with ALL 5-star reviews - 371 of them when I first checked them out and I use Trustpilot a lot. Safe to say my brother and I are very happy with the service we received from MPP. We chose the Enhanced Package, so the C1 paperwork was prepared by MPP for us to check and then submit to the Sheriff Court. Confirmation was granted at the first attempt and in the timescale we'd been advised to expect. My brother and I can't recommend My Probate Partner highly enough. There will always be complex estates that have to use the services of a solicitor but we reckon for most situations, MPP will be able to support you through the arcane process of applying for Confirmation without wiping out half of your inheritance!
