I have lived in the Hanna Court development for 18 months and have found the experience very satisfactory. The apartment and facilities in the building are excellent.I found the communal living a little difficult initially but settled down after a few months.Mel,the manager has been brilliant, dealing with problems promptly and with good humour, even with some of the
more awkward owners( a small minority thankfully).

I stayed in the guest suite at Wherry Court, Norwich for 2 nights when visiting my Mum who lives on site there.
Excellent facilities, easy access to allow guests to come and go. Clean & tidy with extras like milk, coffee & a small fridge to use. House Manager Owen De Lacey great to deal with and very helpful.

We recently enjoyed an excellent 4 night stay in the Guest Suite at Mewstone Place, Dartmouth. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Bistro is excellent, Chef Terry catered for all our needs and the service was spot on. Thank you for looking after us, hopefully see you again soon. The development and Dartmouth are well worth a visit.

Wardington court is a very special place and I am so pleased to be here. The staff are excellent and work extremely hard and this is shown by the caring and compassion given to us. Nothing is any bother and they bend over backwards to make sure we are all okay and very safe. I feel like they are my family and I will never be able to thank them enough. If there are angels on this earth I think they are all at Wardington court. With many thanks to all the staff for all their hard work and kindness shown. What a difference it makes in this day and age. Keep going you are all wonderful.

From the moment I walked into my new home at Claridge House Littlehampton and being met by the manager with a hug and "Welcome home" I have found great warmth and kindness from all the staff and friendship from my fellow residents. The public areas are very clean, smart and disabled friendly. This is one of the few McCarthy Stone residences to have a restaurant which is well managed, serving good food. The whole concept is well managed, efficient and provides a good service. It has a happy warm atmosphere

Oak Grange
Having now lived at Oak Grange for 2 years I would like to give some feedback of my experience.
The advantages include security, peace of mind, no worry regarding maintenance, within easy reach of local amenities and the companionship of like minded people.
I feel happy that help is always at hand via the Apello system and I also appreciate the security of the car park. Domestic assistance is available if required and the services of the House Manager are invaluable.
Companionship includes various in house social activities, such as meals, quizzes, films, coffee mornings, card groups, carpet bowls and a recent tea party held in our beautiful garden.
There is also a guest suite available for family and friends to stay, which has proved to be invaluable for visitors.
Beverley, our House Manager, is the mainstay of the development and is always on hand for emergencies, advice or even a friendly chat.
I would whole heartedly recommend the McCarthy and Stone experience to anyone who is contemplating a change to their lifestyle at this pivotal point in their lives.

Following the death of my brother I used the services of McCarthy and Stone Resales to market the sale of his flat in Clifton Mews. Jos kept us fully informed with the process and after the failure of the first offer, was quick to set up further viewings. The assistance of Janet, the House Manager, has been invaluable as we live some distance away. She has been happy to liaise with workmen who required entry to the flat as well as giving potential buyers the benefit of her knowledge about all aspects of the property and the surrounding area.

My parents had decided it was time to down size after 63 years in the family home. They found an Apartment in Carpenter Court and felt it was just what they’d been looking for, but like anything, taking the next step can be daunting. However, from the outset, the House Manager tended to requests for viewings, accompanying my parents, answering their questions and any that couldn’t be answered were swiftly followed up. We know there is a team of people working hard behind the scenes but the ‘face’ of the organisation we all see is the House Manager Fiona, and her care, support, kindness and professionalism made all the difference for my parents. Thank you

Outside this actual development mccarthy stone are slow, dismissive and patronising, Ive found. During the recent heatwave my apartment was reaching 28 degrees. This is regarded as a dangerous level for anyone over 70, let alone people with my health conditions. I raised a complaint, sending photos of my thermometers at various times and on different days. The building is only 2 years' old and doesn't have air con but has a ventilation system which was advertised as 'being warm in winter and cool in summer'. My formal complaint has been rejected. Their reply lists the Building regs they have complied with and they advised me to close my curtains and use fans(!). During the complaint not a single person has been sent to see my apartment or the building in general.
During this period my shower was not getting hot water. Its taken TWELVE days to get that fixed

My friend and I have just returned from a very enjoyable five day stay at Booth Court, Ipswich. The Guest Suite was very comfortable, however, there was a real problem with the shower in that we were only able to shower on the first morning, albeit with great difficulty, as the water was either extremely hot or very cold, but we were told that a plumber has now been called in to fix it. Carlos and Abigail, duty managers were so welcoming and helpful and couldn’t have made us feel more “at home”. We have not hesitated to book again for next month. Thanks also to the guests we met who were also very friendly and welcoming. Thanks Booth Court.

We stayed at Stanley Place in Garstang for two nights. What a lovely place. The manager Carla was very friendly and helpful. The room was on the ground floor, with a view on to the garden and the decor has a calming effect. All grey and white and modern. The kitchen and lounge facilities were available to use and a large tv in the lounge. As the weather was warm we sat out on the patio area where you looked out onto a beautiful garden and meadow. The people that lived here were friendly, advising us on what to do nearby We will definitely come back soon. Thanks to all you lovely people.

Won the lottery with our house manager At Queens View. Friendly and caring , approachable with a very hands on positive attitude to resolving any problems big or small. She came in new to the role and has worked very hard to resolve inherited outstanding issues. She’s just brilliant.

I recently visited Beeches Gate to see a resident and managed to get myself a bit lost! Amanda, the House Manager, was so friendly and took the time to point me in the right direction.
While I was there, it was lovely to see how well she got on with the residents. She was chatting away to everyone and it was clear they all know and appreciate her.
I live in a similar retirement development, and it made me think how lucky the residents at Beeches Gate are to have someone like Amanda looking after them. She was warm, approachable and a real credit to the team.
