I was invited to provide further information that might affect the prospects of my case. I responded promptly and was explicitly told my comments were under review and that I would receive further advice.
No follow-up ever came. Months later, my file was closed without any response to my questions or explanation.
Regardless of the legal merits, this fell well below a reasonable standard of communication and client care.

Claim handler was brilliant
Jade McLean was assigned to handle my case. These things always take time but it was worth the wait to be resolved. From start to finish any email or questions I had were always answered promptly and she never left me unsure of what was going on. I’ve had full trust in her and she done an amazing job sorting out my case for me. Extremely satisfied is an understatement.

Beyond expectation

AXA motor accident claim 200-083-7237
Jazmin Mahmood made the experience dealing with my AXA motor accident claim much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. She was very helpful, answering my many questions over the 11 months it took the claim to resolve and always answered quickly and very informatively. I hope I don't have to go through this experience again but if I do, I couldn't wish for a better person to be on my side.

Avoid for serious medical negligence claims
Used Lyons Davidson in 2022 as this was the appointed firm through a Saga insurance policy via Arc for a medical negligence claim. The case involved a death in hospital in traumatic circumstances. The firm used a "case handler" which turns out to be a very young, inexperienced and most importantly was not a qualified solicitor and refused the claim, all via phone/email correspondence. No face to face contact and wasn't permitted to speak to a senior qualified lawyer. Felt very impersonal and did not appear to take into account what had happened or the vast amount of information we had provided. Too traumatised from the experience to take it further and gave up at that point so the chance to get any accountability was lost. Was very disappointed with this firm and how this was handled particularly given it involved a death.

Appalling service , avoid at all costs
Absolutely appalling customer service, with total lack of communication - to the extent they have ignored over a dozen emails over a 6 month period requesting updates. My partner was involved in a very bad car accident in December 2024, not at fault (another car hit him at 50mph and sent him into oncoming traffic, involving a third car). Car was an instant right off, and a month required off work. 14 months later, he is still on light duties at work impacting his ability to perform his job, and continuing to visit the GP with shoulder issues (he has a manual job in a garage). He still can’t attend the gym!
We were last contacted in July 2025 with an update (which contained conflicting information). Since then, via both their portal and standard email, we have sent over a dozen emails requesting updates. Absolutely no reply!! My partner is urgently seeking his costs to be reimbursed. To be ignored for over 6 months is terrible. When this accident wasn’t even my partners fault, it feels very unjust to be left in the lurch having to chase the basics like an update, let alone a reimbursement of costs. Avoid!!!

hi, my case handler was monika, i was rather nervous from the start of my claim as i have absolutely no computer skills and have no wifi in my house.

Left us in the lurch
Left us in the lurch! Lyons were contacted on the 9th of December to assist us in a legal matter for our court case on the 19th of January 2026. Told us 1 working day before that they wouldn't represent us and left us to represent ourselves subsequently we lost the court case due to not being legally trained. As you can imagine we are massively out of pocket and this could have been dealt with properly and we could potentially have won the case if we had had proper representation. So far their only comment is to offer us £50 compensation which is verging on insulting due to their negligence
