Exceptionally Poor Customer Focus
It is with some regret that I have to report the service I received was extremely poor. Several E mails went unanswered and only did the case handler respond when I proposed on two occasions to escalate a formal complaint .There were no regular updates as to how the claim was progressing. For instance, I was told the claim would take 6/8 weeks from acceptance of the offer, however it took 20 weeks to settle with no progress update unless I made contact. The event was traumatic for a host of reasons and then to have very poor service from the legal profession is just not acceptable.
Thank you for your reply , you are fully aware I was acting on behalf of my daughter who became frustrated at the lack of customer focus. I note you’ve not explained as to why E mails went unanswered and furthermore there was no voluntary explanation / update as to why there was a significant delay in payment. Once again there was no formal apology just a typical ‘ Glossed over’ response with a positive spin ..
I will ensure that I’ll never use / recommend your legal services again.

An absolute joke of an organisation
An absolute joke of an organisation. I was involved in a no fault serious accident back in July23 and still ongoing now 11/02/26. The majority of the claim has been dealt with via their online system (minimal human engagement) no real personal involvement. If you are looking for an organisation to represent you and negotiate realistic compensation, don't bother with this company.......

Honestly I have always found the legal world rather scary, mostly due to lack of understanding and too much TV.
The thought of being put on the spot and answering lots of questions sounded horrific.
How wrong was I.
I was contacted by Clare at Lyon’s Davidson (Bristol)and was immediately put at ease. She was friendly ( a normal human being!) and had the ability to keep the conversation relaxed and flowing while getting the information she needed and remaining professional at all times.
She gave me confidence with her expert knowledge and experience. She answered my questions clearly, to the point with ease and in a way I could understand without feeling dumbed down.
Equally Clare had the patience of a Saint as at times she needed to repeat conversations over again as the weeks progressed and the situation evolved and changed its path.
It was clear that Clare worked very much as part of a team who communicated between each other on cases to ensure the best outcome was reached.
Clare’s communication was excellent . I was always well informed of any updates and felt very much up to date with all that was happening.
If I needed to email Clare she would reply very quickly and resolve issues quickly.
It was obvious through out that Clare really cared about outcomes and she nurtured us through some very difficult decision making by ensuring we had all the information we required to make an informed choice. I can’t thank Clare enough.
When it came to the “crunch time” Clare was so invested in our case that she was keeping me up to date beyond her office hours. This cemented my feeling as to how amazing she had been and how Clare had put us, her Clients first.
I would highly recommend Clare at Lyons Davidson as she was my Solicitor, that said from the vibe I felt, I believe they have a strong and connected team

Absolutely appalling customer service! After complaining to supervisor then partner then complaints dept about no communication and then been apologised to and promised we would get replies to emails within the company's timeframe of 5days not the 5 weeks we had experienced we then don't get a response from our email sent last Tuesday! Appalling and if our insurer will change companies we will be asking them to do

Everything was made manageable
Sophie made what was a terrible situation, following me being the victim of a road accident, as painless as she possibly could. She was professional, proficient and above all caring in all my dealings with her. Within a couple of days of the accident I was comforted to know that I was not going to have to complete lots of daunting official forms or be floundering around looking for help & support by myself.
She was always timely and efficient with correspondence and when we were almost at a point of being able to conclude the case I threw a curveball which delayed conclusion by many months. This did not phase her at all and she swung into action to move things forward and provide a satisfactory solution to my problem. Even when there was a threat of court action she was able to allay my concerns and I had complete faith in her advice and actions.

Absolute Shameful Actions
Received a threatening, demanding letter telling me they want £2000 in 7 days or I'm being taken to court, the inadequate operative who was named on the letterhead was on holiday when I tried to contact him/her/it. My insurance company had already actioned the payment 2 days earlier, the over zealous Lyons Davidson communication caused me
stress, upset and sleepless nights. I wonder if they realise what distress they cause by sending innocent people demanding, threatening, untrue letters.😡

Lyons Davidson caused nothing but delay
the case was sent to Lyons Davidson the case was a simple minor personal injury claim, it took almost 2 months of chasing and being fobbed off with form completing despite the firm being provided with pre action case file that was ready to issue at court. after final breakdown i dispensed with their services.
Too Big to Care and does not follow clients wishes or instructions but take its instructions from the insurance company providing the funding.
if your placed with this company ask for a smaller solicitor local to you be appointed by the insurance company you have a right to do so,

Very poor experience and unprofessional handling of complaints
This firm has caused an enormous amount of stress and distress to both me and my family. What should have been a straightforward case, has unfortunately turned into a deeply frustrating and upsetting experience.
I was repeatedly asked to provide a variety of unreasonable evidence multiple times, which took a huge amount of time, effort, and coordination. After complying with these requests, the firm then completely mishandled the situation. I have been very patient, but I eventually got fed up with their attitude.
When I raised a formal complaint, I expected a fair and proper investigation. Instead, my concerns were dismissed outright, without transparency, accountability, or any genuine attempt to resolve the issues. Their attitude was unreasonable, dismissive, and showed a complete lack of care for the impact this situation was having on us personally.
The way this was handled felt unfair and left us feeling powerless and stressed for a prolonged period. No client should be treated this way, especially by a firm that is supposed to act with integrity and professionalism.
Based on our experience, I strongly believe this firm should not be engaged. Speaking to quite a few others, as this form takes up AA clients, and their negative experience, I would advise others to stay away.
