How lastminute.com Turned a Simple Name Correction Into a Nightmare

A correction request was raised within 24 hours of booking to update a passenger surname from a birth name to a married name so it matches the valid passport.

Despite providing all requested documents promptly, weeks later the issue still remains unresolved with travel now less than 2 weeks away.

British Airways have repeatedly advised that:

the booking agent must process the request directly
they have no record of previous contact attempts from lastminute.com regarding this correction

Meanwhile, lastminute.com continue sending generic/template responses claiming “airline policy” prevents the change, while refusing to provide any actual evidence or policy wording when requested.

This is not a passenger transfer — it is simply correcting a surname to match a legal passport.

The customer service and handling of this issue has been incredibly frustrating and stressful.

Poor service

Our holidat was fine however last minute was a nightmare to contact and after a last minute cancellation to our flight it took them 4 days to accept the nee flight offered by Emirates causing us a huge amount of stress.

Lastminute.com... bit of a mixed bag review...

Positives...
We did a 3 stop trip in Italy in May 2026 and managed to find all three places on Lastminute.com. So that was nice and easy.

Neutral...
It was not until after completion of the bookings that I found out that Lastminute.com is part of Booking.com and I've had some bad experience with Booking.com, but thats another story.

Negatives, hopefully constructive...
You cant leave feedback/review using Lastminute.com... ok, so, the Booking was done via booking.com, I'll write a review there... nope, go on that app and the trip doesn't appear... no trip, cant leave a review.
Why cant you leave a review on Lastminute.com?
Seems very odd don't you think????

I spoke to a fantastic representative for lastminute.com. It was really surprising how good I was taken care of. The representative were engaged, full of knowledge and a expert, extremely polite and helped me fulfill my holiday reservation.

I Booked this Hotel for a surprise 25th…

I Booked this Hotel for a surprise 25th wedding anniversary and it was stating you can see the Eiffel Tower from the room I booked, which you can only see a quarter if that, also the tap on the kitchen area was loose and and just spun round, the sink waste plug was broken, no hot water from kitchen tap, bathroom/shower room needs a little bit of a clean.
Went and told the staff on the desk and they said “well you can see it” that was all they said.

I would never recommend the Aparthotel Adagio Paris centre tour Eiffel

I cannot fault any aspect of the…

I cannot fault any aspect of the experience, everything went smoothly, my only suggestion would be to describe, in detail, return options to Istanbul airport; we love public transport and enjoyed the splendid public bus network.
