We bought some Elan festoon lights last June and at first they worked well. However after around 6 months some of the bulbs stopped working. Eventually around half were out at varying intervals of the string. I contacted lamps2direct and despite already telling them i had carried out fault finding they suggested some steps.
After re trying the steps the lights are still the same and having contacted the company to tell them so i have heard nothing back.
Go solar to save the planet they say but the plan wasn't to add these to landfill after 6 months. Not exactly green energy! Disappointing.

We have used Lamps2udirect before as they were really efficient. The Robus undercover stripights were easy to order, priced very competitively and arrived well packeged and safe. Excellent service!

My kitchen has these odd square lightbulbs that cost a fortune on Amazon, Lamps2uDirect sold them at half the price. Arrived very well packed and in good time. Will definitely be buying again.

2nd time I have used this company so simple order and prompt delivery what else can you ask for.

I had difficulties finding fluorescent tube (T5 21”) in “daylight”colour (6000K)
and could only find ‘warm’ colour type on line.
The ‘daylight’ tubes were readily available on lamp2udirect and dispatched promptly.

I received my Knightsbridge wall2 wall lights thinking they were the better quality as per picture at £27.00, only to receive the cheaper version advertised at most places for around £15.00
Misleading disappointed

When I ordered I was extremely impressed by the help ( technical & administrative ) especially as the company retrospectively credited me with the 10% discount that I failed to take when making payment but, and to me it is a huge but, delivery was abysmal. I ordered on a Monday and on the Thursday I received an email from Fedex advising they had collected the parcel from Lamps2udirect that day and delivery was scheduled for the Friday, this did not happen! and all the information from the tracking link forwarded by lamps2udirect was advising "delivery pending unable to advise new delivery date". I contacted lamps2udirect first thing on the Monday and was advised that they would chase Fedex and telephone me to update me. I did not receive the telephone call but Lamps2udirect sent a notification of payment email at 09:38 ( I had paid in full the previous Monday !!) and also advising the shipment had been delayed. I did receive the item later that morning but that was 7 days from the point of order. I have rated the experience as 2 star as I initially found Lamps2udirect helpful and with competitively priced items , admittedly they have little control over delays by Fedex ( from reading reviews on Fedex delays appear to be the norm ) but it would appear that shipment information was not sent to FedEx until the Thursday morning - 3 days after the point of order. I now have to wait a week for my electrician to return and fit the item ( was booked for the Friday ) so I will think twice before using this company again
