Fantastic, you get what you pay for
We cannot speak highly enough of Kate Herbert. We believe that has we had another solicitor our purchase would have fell through and our sale would have taken months longer. Cannot recommend her enough.

Excellent service on sale and purchase
We used Knights on our leasehold sale and freehold purchase. We had a very good experience with Kate Herbert. Kate was very responsive, proactive and personable. We were able to go from offer to completion within c. 3 months. We would definitely want to use Kate on any future transaction.
The use of the digital apps for uploading all of the information also streamlined things. It was a modern and professional service.

I used the residential conveyancing team of Knights in Essex to sell my property. I dealt with Jasmin Patel and her associates Rebecca Bolton and Laura Finnigan. They provided an excellent service: sound legal advice with my queries answered accurately and rapidly. They negotiated robustly with the buyer’s solicitors under very challenging circumstances, gaining circumstantial damages when the buyer failed to complete the sale on time. I can highly recommend Knights as an efficient and diligent firm of solicitors

Knights Solicitors Property Conveyancing
From our first contact with Knights Solicitors they stressed that they would provide a high quality service for the sale of our property. They delivered fully on their promise and helped push through the sale in good time while providing us with constant updates. The solicitors ( Sarah-Louise Green and Rebecca Bolton ) were very responsive to any enquiries. You certainly pay a higher fee for using Knights but if you want a professional service that works hard to complete your property sale quickly then I would fully recommend using this Company's services.

We have been involved with Knights as executors of a will.
We have been involved with Knights since September 2025 as executors to a will. We had no previous experience in this capacity and were somewhat daunted by what we should need to do. Amanda Paardekooper undertook the conveyancing work in the sale of the property. She has given tremendous support, sound advice and guided us through the legal process. Communication at all stages has been excellent and has always been available to provide help whenever we have needed it. Further work is now in progress by Charlotte Cooper to complete the final stages as required. Had a meeting via teams to discuss updating/ new wills wasn’t told of a charge at beginning of meeting only at the end which we had no control over was told if we went ahead it would be a Fixed price of £2,000 or time spent which with vat which was still £1,300 or so but that’s not all then charge to sent letters out monthly?wouldn’t actually give a price which we thought to be to expensive don’t recommend anyone using this company as they are just out to make money knight plc.com kings hill west malling

Efficient and reliable
Quick responses within half a day. We were assigned a team of two people (Kirsten and Ben) so we always had someone on hand when the other was away from the office. Clear and helpful communication. The properties we were moving from and to were both in Oxfordshire while Knights' office is in Portsmouth, but this didn't seem to cause a problem.
My past experience with solicitors has been very hit and miss - Knights are one of the good ones and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Terrible experience with this firm…
Terrible experience with this firm during my purchase. They were recommended by an equally questionable developer, Taylor Wimpey. They essentially disengaged and never completed the purchase properly, allowing serious mistakes by the developer to go unchallenged. This resulted in significant issues and ultimately forced me to instruct a competent solicitor firm to sort out the mess they allowed to happen. If I were you, I would look elsewhere for a solicitor.
