First time with Hughes and I recommend trying them for your car insurance
Like everyone I want to know what I am paying is reasonable, the cover is adequate, customer service and understanding is paramount, and ease of transaction and communication is of extreme importance.
I believe all this was achieved by first obtaining an online quote which I then used to discuss my requirements directly with Mathew, a Hughes representative, who acted professionally, courteous, and remained focused on ensuring my concerns and requirements were addressed, and secured me an acceptable quote/cover.

4 stars because I personally found the online difficult, I had few problems trying to fill in insurance form. Problem solved by phoning the company and speaking to someone, who was very helpful.

after 5 years with them when I decided to sell the car I cancelled where they asked me to pay them £60 plus 2 days they took the money from the account even though I cancelled the contract the day they still kept the £150 deposit do not deal with them they are scammers

Rang as I got a text reminder of home…
Rang as I got a text reminder of home insurance options in August on back of a call to me some time previous when I advised my insurance was up for renewal Sep probably whilst dealing with car insurance. The girl I spoke with was great providing me with all the information and costs for a new provider saving me £1000 on my current provider with similar / right for me cover. I was taken through all the questions , info etc…with ease. The girl was professional and polite and all was completed in a reasonable time. Previously it has been daunting to embark on especially if cold call. Reminder came at good time and gave me some time to think and set aside time to dedicate to dealing with this and getting a much better deal for cover we needed.
