Probably the slowest dispatch from an online retailer. If Hawes & Curtis want to be taken seriously they need to up their operational capabilities. Total lack of comms. Very poor response when questioned on the delays.

Items went out of stock after I purchased them. Customer service gave me 4 days to respond with replacement choices but didn't send me the email. When I replied within a day of receipt of email, they said they couldn't help. No offer of a voucher or anything as I won't be able to take advantage of multi buy offer without buying another 4 shirts. Really unacceptable.. feels like talking to a computer

On the surface a lot of the Hawes and Curtis products look good. They're unfortunately very low quality. One suit jacket I bought has started to lose its inner lining after just one month (the stitching has failed), and I had a button pop off a waistcoat I bought during the first day of wearing it.
On top of this, the returns process has been a bit shambolic, they don't restock, and the in-store experience I've had is mixed if I'm being very kind. Let me give an example of one return process: I ordered a suit, the jacket fit but the trousers didn't. I returned the trousers to exchange them, but they paid me a refund instead. They now (still) don't have any of the trousers in stock (after months) and I'm stuck with one half of a suit, well outside of the return window. And guess what? It's the jacket that is losing its stitching.
Overall very unimpressed. Gave them a good chance across a bunch of products, but can safely say you're much better off buying a suit off the peg from M&S.

Great service from Fatima in the London Stratford store recently. I needed a dress shirt for my tuxedo and Fatima was straight to the options. I tried a couple of size guide shirts and knew where I was for a fit. She was warming chatty, attentive but for clearly read I was there for what I needed and didn’t look to be pushy to up sell. When I tried a jacket she was helpful, informative and balanced on selling with the positives. The fit was there but I wanted to think about the jacket and Fatima was appreciating to that unlike some sales reps. The shirt looked and fitted great for what I needed and comfortable service would encourage me to go back.
I ordered a “Pink Cotton Stretch Fitted Shirt With Concealed Placket” in a size 12, I am not able to wear this shirt as yet as it is to tight around my bust, although its a stretch material, I wanted it for work and do not feel comfortable with the way it looks gaping between buttons

I was expecting them to be like CT but they seem very ordinary with poor fit on the hands. The hands always pull making me feel uncomfortable throughout the day.

Purchased 4 shirts, all bobbling and shedding fabric within 3 months.
Customer service have insisted that this is not a quality issue - their resolution is for me to buy a pilling comb and be more careful with what I wear the shirts with.
Given I wear the shirts with a Hawes & Curtis suit the latter advice is particularly confusing.
Safe yourself the hassle go to TM Lewin or Charles Tyrwhitt.

Excellent service from this company. Quality product, very well packaged and swift delivery.
Poor quality shirts and terrible customer service.

I bought 6 shirts online some weeks ago, 5 shirts were delivered, the other shirt was said to be out of stock and a refund was to be done in 7 business days. It’s now close to 3 weeks and no refund has come thru.

I have tried to return a blouse ( worth £ 20.00) but was 3 days out of the 28day return period due to unexpected travel abroad due to family member being seriously ill. H&C response was it is not possible to return (even for a Gift Card) under any circumstances, quoting their T&C. Sad to know what there is no compassion nor empathy in the world today. On a bright side I was offered 10% off my next full priced order...which will probably never be used.

I’ve always liked the quality and style of the women’s shirts. Sadly the customer service agent I had the misfortune of speaking to yesterday ruined my shopping experience. She was self important and just spoke over me. All I wanted was help with an exchange. Had to call and speak to her twice - both times she was barely polite. Please hire people who actually want to do a good job and not just tick a box.

**I bought 4 ‘formal’ shirts in early February - 3 of which were non iron, the other poplin. I regularly buy smart shirts to wear with suits when I sit in Court as a Magistrate. When I first washed the blue poplin shirt before I wore it the result was disastrous despite carefully following the washing instructions. The shirt was totally creased all over - I put it on a hanger to dry after which it was impossible to iron. I use a steam-generated iron and have always carefully pressed my own clothes. I contacted H&C Customer Service who asked for photos of before & after ironing - I sent these asking for either a refund or exchange to another non-iron shirt instead. The response I received was condescending & patronising - basically referring me to their website about care of the product - and telling me it was my fault, giving me instructions on how to iron a shirt suggesting I should do it whilst it is damp. Everyone knows that by doing this you could risk scalding or even burning the shirt. Despite my conversations with two people in Customer Service (one male & one female) no one has tried to listen or understand my complaint. In fact both people were extremely rude and unhelpful, refusing to assist in any way - even though the male agent stated they had received similar complaints from other customers…
So my advice to other prospective customers is this - if you want good quality shirts and follow up customer service then don’t buy from Hawes & Curtis. My recommendations for alternatives would be Charles Tyrwhitt or TM Lewin or Brook Taverner - all of whom are reliable and reputable shirt makers.

Today I went into the flagship store in Piccadilly to get a dinner suit for my wedding.
Met a lovely gentleman named Chack, who looked after me and put me at ease straight away, talked me through everything and gave me great feedback on some of my ‘out of the box’ questions. Deffo shop in store for the personal touch.
I purchased a pair of corduroy trousers and two quarter-zip sweaters, but unfortunately, all were of poor quality. The fabric and stitching were weak, as both items ripped at the seams with minimal wear. Very disappointing.
I recommend the reader to save yourself some money

Big shout out to the amazing 'Amon' at H&C- Jermyn Street, LDN. The lad is the epitome of first-class service! His attention to detail, product knowledge &genuine passion sets him apart. I found exactly what I was looking for with his assistance.....his professionalism, patience and approach to styling made my shopping experience super easy and nothing short of extraordinary! Thanks buddy, you rock!
Purchased a shirt which I unfortunately had to return as it was too small. This company charge £3 “administration “( not postage, which I had already paid for) just to return! I have never encountered this with any other retailer and certainly did not expect it of a company of this reputation, so be aware! I am not quite sure what the fee is actually for other than to put the product back on the shelf.

Delayed Delivery with an unjustifiable excuses from Royal Mail
This excuses of Royal mail to unable to locate my address is becoming ridiculous and nuisating to say the least. With this same excuse they lost my wife's parcel amd had the gut to ask to contact seller for a possible refund.
They always claim they cannot locate our address. I have given you a neighbour's commercial hair salon which is opened every day within their delivery zone and hours but you are still failing to deliver my product with same excuse.
I am travelling tomorrow 21/02/2025 for a programme and urgently need this suit and cannot afford ro miss it on time tomorrow.
Please ensure Royal Ma delivers to the product to this address:196 Ansty Road, CV2 3EY tomorrow without fail for the items is time bound.
Hawes and Curtis, you must take responsibility for me to have this product delivered on time to me tomorrow before Royal Mail mess up my journey, which will come with consequences.

This is a company which uses the classic excuse of telling you your shirt is not brilliant white due to the ‘STUDIO LIGHTING’. Errrmmm you’ve sold me a shirt which is an off white. Refused to refund.
DON’T buy. CT Shirts better
