I purchased a pair of shoes on 15th May 2025, by 26th June the heel had fallen off. These were formal shoes marketed as workwear. I complained to customer services who replied that based on images sent that they had 'extended' wear. This is unacceptable since they have only been worn for work during that time and I had a weeks holiday in between! They are clearly not adhering to Consumer Rights Act and I will be doing a section 75 charge back with my bank if they do not offer a refund. Terrible customer service. AVOID

NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE! I paid EUR 47 for a return of 2 polo shirts I did not want (they are shipping from UK). Both pieces was slim fit according to their website but is actually a regular fit. I had to spend an hour to fillout a return label as the firm had a bunch of questions to the package. They could instead consider to forward a return label alongside the shirts. Totally waste of time, never buying from here again, both the return system and the products are a joke. Now I will have to wait for my small refund I will receive because the shipping costs will be deducted from the total amount (if I even receive my refund back)

I recently had the pleasure of shopping for a suit at the new Hawes & Curtis store in Birmingham's Bullring, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service I received from Arjan and Jasmine. From the moment I walked in, both were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Arjan’s knowledge of fit, style, and tailoring was outstanding—he took the time to understand what I was looking for and offered thoughtful suggestions that elevated the final choice beyond my expectations. Jasmine complemented the experience perfectly with her warm demeanor and sharp eye for detail, ensuring everything from fabric selection to accessories was perfectly aligned with my needs.
Their teamwork and professionalism made the entire process not only effortless but also enjoyable. It’s rare to find such dedicated staff who clearly take pride in what they do. Thanks to Arjan and Jasmine, I walked away with a suit that fits impeccably and a genuinely memorable shopping experience.
Highly recommended!
Hawes & Curtis is a scam operation; do not place an order with them. I ordered linen shirts that were too big. I requested a return slip, and I was billed $89.35 to return the shirts. When I reached out to Hawes & Curtis, they did not care, but it was them who provided me with the faulty return slip. I am writing this review to warn shoppers that Hawes & Curtis is not a legitimate retailer.

I purchased a pair of shoes online 14/06/2025 and they arrived on a few days later on 17/06/2025. The shoes unfortunately didn’t fit having tried them on and not worn for more than 10 seconds in a clean and carpeted house. The shoes were sent back on 19/06 tracking ref OT074489674GB. On 01/07 I received notification via DPD that the shoes were being delivered to Hawkes and Curtis and on 02/07/2025 I received the following email:

The marketing of H&C is very weird, to say the least. I got on Instagram ads about them and when I checked the website, I found some good offers like 4 shirts at 160€ for Germany. I kept the shirts in the basket for a few days, maybe I find some more items to order then make a bigger purchase. When I got back to order, the offer became 3 for 165€ .. so the cookies did their thing.
I would have given them a chance, but the marketing is too confusing for me.

All my shirts have always been Hawes and Curtis. Reason because they are high quality shirts; durable and value for money. I encouraged my brother in-law to buy 6 shirts from United States of America and he did. He was really happy with the shirts. Their shirts are quality without limit.
I purchased a pair of trousers from the company which was small.and I needed to exchange fir a bigger size. The courier delivered while I was not at home and left it outside and cannot be found. I spoke to the customer services, they are now telling me its the company policy not refund any item since the GPS data has confirmed the delivery meanwhile I did not request to leave it outside or to a neighbour. They want me to report to the police if I think someone has stolen it. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES AND BAD COMPANY POLICY. Will.never shop with them again

Having shopped at Charles Tyrwhitt for years, I liked the Better Cotton Initiative and thought I’d try H&C shirts.
The shirts are good but the company and communication are awful.
I had no emails during the return/exchange process to confirm what the details of the exchange were, and I’m now stuck where I don’t know what the status is. Live chat won’t respond and the customer service line is clearly not staffed appropriately.

Really not what it used to be. Pussybow Olive shirt material so thin and stitching so basic barely holds shirt together. So unlike a blue one I bought 2/3 years back. Certainly not the same quality of shirts I used to buy from them 15 years ago. They might have offers in from time to time but what’s the use when quality so poor. Primark can churn out same level and better!

Fabric amazing but the issue with size may it was my fault I don’t know
I paid extra to do alterations but fabrics i like it
My advise!!
Look to the sizes carefully

I was please with the fitting support in-store. However, I was surprised to see that the 100% cotton shirts are so thin and wrinkle so easily. I will try other suppliers.

After ordering shirts for 400+£, I made an error with one shirt being the wrong size, instead that the support would easily offer me an exchange as any other shop, they only allow a refund and asked me to order the shirt as a new order, which all-around would cost me additional 55 £ (10 return, +45 for ordering one shirt at a single price for 75£). This is not how I expect a qualitative shop to react.

I have ordered many times from H&C. But this particular order was never received. The photo shows it has been left against a white wall with no door number visible. I did not sigh for it. Why am I charged for postage if care cannot be taken to deliver safely. The request for redelivery has been rejected. I can assure you this will be last order from me to H&S

Absolutely absurd customer service. My order hasn’t moved in 10 days and they’re refusing to honor their published terms of service providing the right to cancel the purchase contract up to 14 days from product receipt. They use a faceless 3PL with no direct contact for international fulfillment and every customer service interaction ends with them “notifying” Global-E and absolutely nothing happening. I’ve honestly never had such a disappointing customer experience with an e-commerce brand. If you’re an international customer and your purchase is a need more than a want, look elsewhere.

marketing spam and miserable staff. Asked twice to have details removed and still getting junk mail. Staff were miserable and showed no willing to be of any help.

‼️First and LAST TIME EVER BUYING
Faulty product, horrible customer service – demand my refund (Order 3495933)
Review:
Order number: 3495933
I ordered a white fitted shirt from Hawes and Curtis on 29 April 2025. When it finally arrived after a week, the shirt was stained with black mould and completely unwearable.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. This shirt clearly breaches those legal requirements. I am entitled to a full refund.
When I contacted customer service, I was treated appallingly. Instead of apologising or resolving the issue, the agent accused me of potentially making a fraudulent claim — an insulting, baseless suggestion. Horrible customer service, no respect for loyal customers, and absolutely no ownership of their mistakes.
I have formally demanded a refund and expect them to arrange collection immediately, given that I am a disabled customer and cannot return the item myself.
This company shows no care for customers and no responsibility for the quality of what they send out.
Disgraceful experience — avoid!

You have to follow up for the items to be shipped, you have to follow up for the return to be done as late delivery.
You just have to do tell them what to do at all time otherwise your money will only be taken. Very poor online channel.
