This is my preferred transcription Software
This is really good Software and I use it regularly during my job as a Webdesigner and marketer.
I mainly use it for three distinct purposes:
1) creating captions for videos, it downloads the proper subtitle file that is requested by all video and social media platforms
2) recording instructional videos for clients. I often make these type of videos to explain anything from simple Jobs through the very complex workflows. What I then do is use some software. I have to extract the audio from the video and upload the Audio file to happy scribe copy the transcript which again is really easy to do. They made that part really simple and I paste the transcript into AI to get a summary so I can easily create an email that accompanies the video.
3) the third use case for this Software is recording client meetings, creating a transcription and using AI to create a summary and action list

Effective though not perfect
The service allows effective subtitling, though not perfect - you still need to verify the .srt contents.

Multiple Language Video Editing
For this particular video editing project, I had to translate Portuguese, Mexican Spanish, Peruvian Spanish and Tagalog before creating a script from previous video interviews. I tried Premier, Descript, and Rev with limited results. With the help of Happy Scribe and a team of native speakers made it possible for me to work on this month long multiple language project.

Top-quality transcripts and subtitles
I use HappyScribe extensively for our editorial work. In 2025 alone, I’ve already used almost 400 hours to produce transcripts for journalists and the newsroom, as well as SRT subtitles. I highly recommend it. It’s great that it offers an API — I rely on it for automations. I’ve tried cheaper alternatives, but their quality just doesn’t compare.

Very disappointing!
wanted to try this out, thinking it would give me a total transcript to evaluate (free version). After signing up and what that entails, it only transcribes the first 10 minutes then you have to pay. (the transcription was good). when I tried to delete the account - it was impossible. Contact was not possible. Customer service/guidance = zero. Felt like I was being scammed. Even with what I saw as good quality, and maybe if there had been a total transcript and everything felt more transparent, I would have opted in for the paid version. From my experience, I will never use this platform or recommend it. I rarely write reviews, but this really irked me.
