I can't get my refund .I bought a carrera bike grade c for £885,I was just given the bike then they just walked off no help at all I had to ask where the power was everything, no electricity battery key which I asked for , probably lost I was told ! I asked for another one, never got back to me ! I had to have handle bars adapted elsewhere as can never get leicester abbey lane to answer the phone.Dreadful no care at all.No key so I took bike back as I couldn't get on with it.Now they won't refund but under the Consumer act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with halfords that goods be as described as fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality which they weren't ( no key ) As you are in breach of contract and I ve owned the bike for 30.days or less I am within my statutory rights to ask for a refund.So if they don't refund I will take them to court .Thry have closed the case but I.havent I won't give up.Halfords are dreadful

I visited Halfords Kidderminster at 5.15pm on Saturday afternoon as I wanted to change the pedals on my road bike but couldn't loosen one side. The 2 guys in the bike repairs part of the shop were extremely helpful both in removing the pedal and offering guidance on some grease & tools that I asked for. absolute waste of time
absolute waste of time - just lost a customer and family members. Been trying to book a mobile fitting for a dash cam. Click on the book slot button and it worked for the first time but would not let me proceed with the order. Removed the items and tried again and nothing happens when I click to book a slot. Tired to mobile phones, laptop with different browsers.
Gets worse. Phoned up to place an order to be told that I have to do it online. Explained the situation and was told that there was nothing that could be done and I could leave feedback about the website issue - that would take at least 72 hours to be escalated. Asked for account to be removed and was cut off.
Staff not helpful and rude
Arrived at store in Bromborough this morning with the intention of buying a car seat.

Re Halfords Lichfield Was on the way to see my mum who is very disabled with Parkinson’s Disease. She is in the nearby Robert Peel Hospital I got the dipped headlight fault message so pulled into this Halfords. There made me feel like dirt on their shoe for daring to ask them to fit the bulbs. First it’s was “no we can’t do it” then an abrupt “half hour wait” not ONCE was the word sorry used. No redirecting to somewhere that could help. As I would have been returning home in the dark I have had to cancel my hospital visit. You have ruined both my and my Mother’s Day. Avoid

I bought a battery from halfords and it lasted 2 months, even though the battery said 5 yrs garantee they have redused to change the it or issuse a refund, there staff were boarder line rude so i put in a complaint oly to realise this service is poor at best, buyer beware, i wont be using them ever again
Time wasting experience
I Booked in for a car battery fitting at a retail store for a Renault Zoe. There was no way to change the appointment either online (the link to do this just froze) or by phone (no way to contact the local store despite appearing to have a local number all calls appear to be routed abroad). It took them 45 minutes attempting to take the battery out to discover that it was beyond their competence and I needed to go to a garage. I wish I'd check Trustpilot first and seen the comment that they can't cope with French cars.
Bike department above and beyond
The bike department have gone above and beyond for me the last couple of weeks, I really couldn’t fault them. They have a brilliant customer focussed service. I had an issue with a bike that wasn’t my fault and they solved it without any hassle, I also brought up an issue what was my own fault (poor choice of bike) and they did everything they could to resolve it, even though I had the bike for a long time. Really friendly helpful staff. Helped loading the bike into the car too! Would definitely feel at ease using the bike counter.
Went into their Braehead store
Went into their Braehead store, I had traveled quite a way. Four members of staff gabbing around the till, I asked for help and was made to feel like I should apologize for disturbing them. I was told 'Daniel upstairs would help'. I went upstairs, Daniel told me, in rude, and very dismissive manner, that he was serving someone. I turned and left, on my way out I found there were now several staff members standing about the till gabbing. Halford's used to be a great experience...I left without a bike. In such a large store with only one customer; do they really need so many idle staff members?
Poor after sales
Bought a car battery which was under a 5 year guarantee. 18 months in, the battery is not holding the charge. Halfords have refused to deal with it. Poor after sales.

I would rate them less if I could. The store staff were knowledgeable and helpful. However, once my kids's bikes were ordered, then the problems started. One bike showed, the other didn't. When you tried to find out what's going on, chat function, emails, and any contact links on the website don't work. You can try calling, but it's a call centre in goodness knows where. You get to pay for the call and the privilege of them politely knowing nothing. They then 'escalate', to nowhere. No info, no dates, no basic politeness, no info on how to get a refund. All totally rubbish. I shopped there to support a local business that I figured had been around for years - it won't be around for much longer, I reckon - and nor does it deserve to be. I just feel sorry for the store staff. Just buy off Amazon instead. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Update - Feel totally scammed
This company has to be the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. With a Customer Service obviously designed to frustrate and evade having to deal with their customers issues.
DHL delivered my item to another random address, which is clearly not the correct address. I have been calling daily to try and get this resolved for over a week now, each time told to be patient and that my call has been escalated, they are investigating but you never receive any communication on the status of the process or even acknowledgement that you have even raised an issue.
Why it takes over a week to investigate a 5 min look on Google Maps will confirm item has been delivered to the wrong address!
Today on my daily call to find out when I will get my money refunded, they have informed me that the case was closed!!!!! and they have had to reopen, so will be another 5-7 days (goes up each time you speak with them).
Judging by other reviews I am clearly now on a never ending battle to get my money back that Halfords have Scammed out of me!!!!
Hit and miss service from Halfords online
I ordered a dashcam from the Halfords website - the process was very smooth. The order included at home installation, which although not cheap, I went for as I wanted peace of mind. The installer arrived bang on time and fitted the equipment in around 40mins. The reason for my poor rating is that he didnt explain any of the equipment and simply left the box in the car. I later found out that the engineer had put in the wrong settings which meant that the camera wouldnt record any impact when the car was parked - this was the primary reason for purchase of the product. I had to spend time going to a local retail store and they get 5* for helping me out. They set it up properly, talked me through how it all worked and left me feeling more relaxed about the system. And when I complained they offered me £10 which is miserly when you consider the fitting cost me £99!
Oh dear they don't want to help
Went to halfords retail store caerphilly with my daughter and grandchild. Had the intention of buying 2 bikes and a trailer for the young child. Lift was not working. And 3 members of staff huddled round the till doing nothing. Had no intention of helping. When I asked were I could leave tge pushchair and use stairs no reply. Just vacant gaze. Got to cycle dept no one there even the 3 lazy members of staff knew we were up there Had no intention of helping. Great expensive tv ads good prices but no service. Nevermind I won't bother again all the best. But don't cry when your another lost name on the highstreet or retail park

A great service today at Elgin branch . Thanks to the customer service lady who examined our camper van. She was so helpful . Chose and fitted new window wipers .

fine job of fitting 522gw front & rear cams, for 1st time user - fine job of fitting, but after sales help was non-existent at Hereford store - not shown how to remove sd card after accident or how to replace sd card or how to remove cam in case of damage to car, just given receipt, and box not asked if I had any questions, or shown how to download app to my iphone or download sd and to my mac
Prompt and professional service from my local Halfords
I had a issue with my car not turning over and after a free battery discharge check Arley and John from Halfords Shoreham by sea really helped me and fitted a new battery. I chose to sign up to the premium car club. This saves me money on the battery and future purchases like MOT bikes, camping, tools. Very happy

I placed an order and was never informed that it was ready for collection — I only found out after calling them myself.
The main issue was that one of the items I ordered was unavailable, and they planned to replace it with a cheaper alternative without my consent. Because of this, I cancelled the order. Naturally, I expected a refund… but that never happened.
It’s now been 2 months, and I still haven’t received my money back. Every time I call, I’m told to “wait” while they escalate the issue, but nothing changes.
Very disappointing experience. Please do NOT buy from here.
