We are genuinely sorry to read that you were unhappy with your experience. Receiving a parcel in anything less than perfect condition is disappointing, and we understand why this would be frustrating if it had occurred.

As with all reports of goods damaged during transit, we requested photographs of the damaged packaging and the affected items. This is not a request made only in certain cases—it is a standard part of our claims process for every customer. The evidence is required by our courier and allows us to investigate what happened, identify any packaging issues, and process claims in accordance with their requirements.

Unfortunately, no photographs were provided before the packaging was disposed of. Without any evidence of the reported damage, we were unable to verify what had happened or submit a claim to the courier. For this reason, we were unable to authorise a replacement or refund. While we appreciate this was not the outcome you were hoping for, we have to apply the same process consistently to every order to ensure fairness for all of our customers.

We would also like to reassure anyone reading this review that genuine transit damage is rare, but when it does occur and the required evidence is provided, we investigate each case thoroughly and work within the courier's claims procedure to reach an appropriate outcome. These requirements are standard practice for online retailers and are in place to protect both customers and businesses.

We are proud of the level of service we provide and of the thousands of orders that arrive safely every year. Although we are sorry that this matter could not be resolved without the information needed to support the claim, we remain committed to handling every customer enquiry fairly, consistently, and in line with our published policies.
