Very Goodyear one of The best

Great, easy service, lovely car

I have rented a car from Mallorca, Service was great, Quick Pick up , super fast return. No hassle at all. First time i had hassle free car rent. I took premium coverage which was reasonable price compare to other so called popular car rental brand. Returned my deposit within 1 hour.

Smooth check in and check out. Staff is kind and willing to help.

It looks an hour to get a key, even though I arrived at time. Also people were not even try to help and explain why it is so long. There were only 1 person who work.
The car was fine, but it came to me not with the full tank, however I filled it to the full before drop off.

Excellent - very busy in summer but the team was doing really well!

The picking up and returning the car was really fast and smooth. Car was good quality. I fully recommand

Best price, new car

I had a very disappointing experience with Gobycar in Palma de Mallorca and, unfortunately, the way my subsequent complaint has been handled has made matters worse.

When I collected the vehicle, the fuel tank was not completely full despite the rental being on a full-to-full basis. I immediately raised this with a member of staff. They took the vehicle away to try to add more fuel but, when it was returned to me, the gauge was still not showing completely full. I raised this again and was specifically advised by the member of staff to photograph the fuel gauge, which I did.

When returning the vehicle, I filled the tank completely. The fuel level was visibly higher than when I had collected it. I raised this with another Gobycar employee, who acknowledged the difference and specifically advised me to contact Customer Service for reimbursement.

This should have been a very straightforward issue to resolve.

Instead, I have had a lengthy exchange with Customer Service. Gobycar eventually asked me to provide the original photographs with their metadata so they could verify when and where they were taken. I did exactly that, providing the original files as requested as well as screenshots of the metadata.

Despite providing the evidence they specifically requested, the matter has still not been satisfactorily resolved.

There were other issues with the rental too. I was charged for an upgrade that I did not want after being told at collection that my reserved vehicle was unavailable, something Gobycar subsequently disputes. I was also charged €121.25 for a tiny scratch of less than 3cm that I remain confident I did not cause.

I appreciate that disputes can arise with any rental company. What has been most frustrating here is the handling of the complaint. I reported the fuel issue at the time, followed the instructions given to me by Gobycar’s own staff, retained photographic evidence, and subsequently provided the original metadata when Customer Service requested it.

After weeks of correspondence, I still haven’t received what I consider to be a reasonable resolution.

Based on my experience, I would not use Gobycar again

Upfront about the young drivers fee in Tenerife

Do not use!
Absolutely appalling customer service - our car broke down twice within 24 hours of the rental and was eventually towed away ( at lest 5 hours after it broke down)
We were told that we could get a replacement car but we would need to go to the airport office to do so by taxi at our cost, similarly if we wanted to cancel the car rental contract we had to personally attend at the airport office ( a 120 mile round trip when we were on a 3 night break)

Unfortunately we were also in a rural destination with very limited if non existent taxi service ( hence the car rental) but despite reiterating this on a number of occasions customer services also kept reiterating the get a taxi advice

We eventually managed to get a taxi from girona to pick us up to take us back to our hotel at a cost of €110 euros for a 6 mile trip - we are x 2 fit and relatively able older adults so were relatively resilient to being left to cope ourselves both financially and health wise but beware families with more vulnerable members - btw no one from gobycar bothered to ask about our wellbeing

Expecting the usual customer services response of we will review your case but with no expectations - fortunately booked through credit card who will be pursuing this on our behalf
Also expecting to be charged for non existent damage as per many Trust Pilot reviews just looked at - fortunately the damage will have been caused by the recovery truck as we didn’t have it long enough to damage it
DEFINITELY DO NOT USE , absolutely appalling service you’re on your own if it breaks down !!!!

Rented for one week in Spain, drove through whole of Andalucia - very satisfied by the company.

Nice new car, easy pick up in a minute waking distance from the terminal. No issues at drop off.

The entire process of renting from Gobycar was painless and great value. Staff were excellent, car provided was immaculate and well suited to our trip.The only minor irritation which wasn't unique to Gobycar was trying to find the rental returns area in Bilbao airport, it was very badly sign posted. We had a Toyota Corolla which was an upgrade as the Yaris we had booked was unavailable. Premium insurance meant we didn't have to have the car checked on return simply have it full of fuel.

Straightforward pick-up despite our flight being delayed. Car was in good condition. No problems at all. Reasonable price.

Even though we arrived later for the pick up, we still picked up the car and it was in great conditions. It was quick to pick up and to deliver.

The good: Car whas not exact model booked but was fine as a replacement. The car was nearly new. The drop off at the airport went well and the staff were very nice.
The bad: It was a 1 hour queue to be able to get to the counter. Although the car was relatively new it had not been cleaned since the previous renters. Swimwear was let on the parcel shelf and the car exterior was dirty
