Sometimes it really is the simple things which make a difference.

It was a pleasant surprise to receive a call from Fleet Mortgages this morning to pro-actively advise us that a new lower rate was available for one of our clients.

Whilst the task was already pencilled in on my "to do" list, its reassuring to see a lender reaching out with a view to saving the client 0.2% on their loan across the product term.

We have all been quick to dismiss & call out lenders for poor practices when increasing rates at short notice, so it only feels responsible to highlight the reverse too 👏

My experience with Fleet Mortgages has been positive, with efficient service, clear communication, and helpful support throughout the mortgage process.

Initial contact of running the criteria was very helpful and constant contact with underwriting for progress of the case.

I’ve used Fleet for many years now and always found them easy to use. Our business managers Jayde and Donna are always so helpful and are always on hand to speak to.

I have an amazing BDM team along with a dedicated underwriter in Jarka for all my cases, which really helps as we have built a strong relationship and know how each other work now! I always have a great experience in placing business with Fleet.

Fleet Mortgages were used for a complex limited company buy-to-let remortgage involving layering within the company structure. Like many limited company lenders, there is still work to be done in this area generally, but Fleet handled the case well. The process was straightforward enough, the underwriting wasn’t overly painful, and the underwriters were available when needed. They are also willing to consider structures and scenarios that many other lenders simply won’t. Their BDMs are friendly, helpful and easy to get hold of, which makes a real difference on more complex cases. Overall, Fleet are definitely one of the stronger lenders in the limited company buy-to-let space, particularly where the case is more specialist or layered.

Far to many documents requested for case which was a straight forward capital raise remortgage on an unencumbered property bought cash just over 6 months ago. Also never had a case almost not acceptable due to lender expecting any mortgage applicants to have existing credit arrangements active or not acceptable for mortgage with Fleet.

From registration to completion the process was slick, the telephone team kept me up to date at all stages and were on hand to answer any questions. A lender who is a breeze to use!

Fleet Mortgages have made some excellent improvements recently, making it much easier to do business with them. These include enhancements to their lending criteria and the removal of the restricted limited company conveyancer panel, which gives our clients a wider choice of solicitors.

They offer competitive products, and I have been submitting a significant amount of business to them recently.

My BDMs, David Lockwood and Josh Mynard, consistently go above and beyond to help us overcome any challenges we face. They are a huge credit to the company.
