I placed an order for two blueberry bushes. One of the varieties has too long chill hours for my area, so i requested to exchange the variety with a different one. I contacted them on Saturday. My order had not shipped. When I contacted customer support, I was told my order was shipping on Monday but no adjustments could be made and the order could not be cancelled. That is the customer service you receive from this company. They would rather send a customer a non compatible species then process a cancellation or even an exchange for an order that hasn't even shipped. They don't care about their customers, or plant's health they care about their bottom line.

Regrettably, we purchased trees and plants from “fast growing trees” within two years for several hundred dollars. This year, we tried to get a replacement for a Prairie Expedition Elm that had been struggling. Hoping that the tree would eventually thrive as expected, the time since the purchase had gone by very fast, and we did not realize that the 12 months warranty had expired about one month ago.
After consulting with that company, we were informed that there was no way for them to honor their warranty since that period had expired, but they would be willing to help us in any way. We are realizing that this is in no way meant genuinely, a little flexibility could have been the most reasonable support. Enforcement of a warranty is understandable if such time has been exceeded by several months. However, if an expiration is only exceeded by a few weeks, a well meaning business would still honor it.
We also find this company to be very unethical since their pricing and advertising is misleading. Prices are highly inflated, just to make customers believe in getting a “great deal” by fake discounts.
We discourage you from buying from this company, support your local and honest nurseries that will appreciate your business instead!

The price for the same product will swing dramatically simply from changes in the “Discounts & Promotions” line and which coupon code happened to work that day. That kind of pricing behavior is becoming more common with online retailers that use:
• dynamic promotions,
• location-based pricing,
• cart-value triggers,
• browser/session tracking,
• and rotating coupon eligibility.
It is especially irritating that the advertised “sale price” is not really the true final price — the actual checkout seems heavily influenced by backend promotional logic that is not transparent to the customer.
A few things that may be affecting the hidden “Discounts & Promotions” amount:
• Whether you arrived via a Google Shopping ad or direct visit
• First-time visitor vs returning visitor
• Mobile vs desktop
• Cookies/session history
• ZIP code / shipping region
• Time-limited promotional campaigns
• Inventory levels in warehouses
• Whether another coupon stacks with an automatic promotion
It is very frustrating that they will not honor a previous price quote.

They shipped 2 trees in one long slinder box

There's not much to say because not much happened. My son got me a tree for Christmas was supposed to ship mid April. Called mid March they said it was going to ship Friday. Two weeks later I had to cancel or wait till April.

The plum tree I ordered came exactly as advertised. Very nice tree and in great condition. Fast delivery also. Communication was great. I am very happy. Many thanks.

When placing my order, I didn't apply the discount properly. I requested an adjustment. I was given a refund for the discount! (my card isn't showing it yet but just getting the approval from FGT is good for now). My messages were responded to very quickly.
I received my 8 4-5' Emerald Greens and 8 5-6' Emerald Greens yesterday via Fedex. 2 per box in containers. They are stunning. Healthy and lush. I can't wait to get these in the ground.

First of all, it's very dishonest that they hide most negative reviews on their website. I gave a 2 star review that they've hidden, and I've been checking daily to confirm my suspicion of how they operate. I get some people just complain, but after spending over $700 I expected them to do a little more.
I ordered 2 of the sentinal columnar apple trees last year (along many other things). Neither grew much over the summer or fall, but looked fairly healthy. Neither survived the winter despite following watering and fertilizer guidelines. Both are in full sun spots that other fruit plants are doing well in. I purchased them in April 2025, but unfortunately I waited until May 2026 to see if they would bounce back at all (which they did not). Since the warranty is 12 months and it had been 13 months support could not do anything for me, which is disappointing considering how much money I spent last year.
Furthermore, they had me send pictures, soil info, fertilizer info... eventually agreed to replace 2 of them (out of 5 that died), then immediately followed that up with saying the year was past so I was out of luck. Not sure the reasoning to go through all that if they weren't going to help anyway. They offered a 30% discount on another purchase, but when I went to use it, it didn't work. I will definitely use a different company next time.
All columnar plants died, but all full sized apple and nectarine trees are looking great and healthy.

Absolute waste of money. The shrubs/flowers I received were damaged, called them immediately, sent photos through text message and they told me they were not stressed.

I'm an experienced gardener who grows tropical plants (many from seed). I've purchased two araucaria araucana trees from them (both arrived in questionable shape and later died), and most recently five butterfly bushes for a border. The bushes arrived damaged and waterlogged, and the growing medium was mostly wood chips. I doubt they will survive. As with the araucarias, I documented arrival shape. FGT needs to revise their shipping protocol. Will never purchase from them again. Save your money and purchase from a local greenhouse.
I find it interesting that, having given FGT my credit card name and the fact that I bought five butterfly bushes, they can't seem to locate my purchase history. I'm also amazed by the startling number of mea culpas FGT give in response to the 1-star reviews on Trust Pilot. Seems they are always very sorry and that purchasing dying plants can be very frustrating.
As a further note, my gardening skills brought back from the dead the five butterfly bushes, which are now thriving. That is not to say FGT is off the hook. I'll never purchase from them again; and I still advise others to purchase locally. Someday, one would hope, FGT will reconsider their shipping protocol and make serious adjustment to their entire operation.

We ordered a fiddle leaf fig tree. We were sent a 4 foot tall bare stalk with a handful of leaves at the very top. The site charges a premium for decent looking plants, and while of course there is variation between plants, it's hard to understand how anyone seeing this plant would have thought it a good idea to ship to a customer. Seller refunded 30% after I sent photos, so in the end I spent about $100 for this stalk...which my wife feels sorry for since it's a bit like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. If they had sent a replacement I'd be leaving a positive review. Seller responded to this review but I have already gone back and forth with them by email. They know what to do to make this right.

I ordered 2 @ 2gal pots of hydrangea. Both were received with the mulch scattered inside the bag and only child-fist sized root balls of plants outside of the pots. One was only about 6 inches tall but had a 4" leaf! Obviously, a shoot had been sprouted from a mature plant and harvested when only a small root ball was available. 90% of the 2 gal pot was filled with mulch (no dirt/compost/etc...just chipped wood).
I want to thank fast-growing trees for helping me decide to never purchase plants online again. I will give local nurseries all my business.
NOTE: I took the two very small root balls and planted them in quality potting mix in one pot. I was issued a 50% credit. Both root balls seem to be ok but very, very small. I suspect it will take at least two seasons before they are even viably bloom producing.
FOLLOW UP: One week later I discovered a similar hydrangea in a local nursery that was almost 3' tall with multiple blooms AND was less than 70% of the delivered price of the Fast-Growing Trees offering!!! Lesson learned!!!!!!!

I ordered things in April and now it says two of them might not ship tell July, and the one thing that showed up was almost dead still not sure it will survive.

The bushes I ordered arrived in excellent shape and have transplanted well. I didn’t see all of the poor reviews until after I’d placed my order, for a shrub that is hard to find anywhere else, so had worried about how healthy the four different shrubs I ordered would be, but they’re all beautiful and healthy.

It's always tough to order plants, especially based on the large, lush pictures you see. While mine were not filled out, they were the height as advertised. I had questions and customer service made things right. I'd order again.

Ordered 2 pear trees and they were just about dead. No leaves no buds after a couple of weeks. Customer service insists since the scratch test does not show dead they are fine. These came as bare root trees. If they survive it’s going to be years for them to be ready. Don’t buy here. Buy at local nursery

Absolutely awful experience with Fast Growing Trees. I spent over $2,000 on trees and plants for my yard, and after TWO MONTHS my order still hasn’t arrived. The excuse I continue getting is that “inventory levels aren’t sufficient,” which apparently they didn’t know until after taking my money.
Customer service has been terrible from start to finish. Calls are clearly outsourced overseas, nobody has accountability, and every interaction feels scripted with zero urgency or ownership. I’ve been bounced around, given vague timelines, and left completely in the dark regarding when — or if — my order will actually ship.
After digging deeper online, it’s clear I’m far from the only customer dealing with delayed shipments, damaged plants, warranty runarounds, and frustrating support experiences. There are countless complaints describing the exact same issues: long delays, poor communication, dead or damaged trees, and customer service that refuses to properly resolve problems. (Trustpilot)
At this point I’m ready to cancel the entire order and take my business elsewhere. For the premium prices this company charges, the service and fulfillment are completely unacceptable. I will never spend another dollar with this company again and would strongly encourage others to shop local nurseries instead.

Trees were shipped pretty quick planted them that all looked great. One of them started to wilt. Called they had me take pictures of the tree sent a replacement right out. Couldn't ask for anything more

one of my plants did not make it. I worked with the customer service department and they have gone above and beyond to be helpful.
