The "warranty" they offer is full of holes. In one instance (and alas I have several instances), they sent me a dead redbud and eventually agreed to replace it (as per their promised warranty) but charged me exorbitantly for shipping it. Then what they sent me was a second dead redbud! I complained but was told the tree could be dormant and that I should plant it and wait awhile. When three months passed and the tree remained dead, I had to spent way too much time dealing with customer service to get a partial refund--and that refund did not include the shipping cost I incurred when they shipped me dead redbud #2.

I received my Knock Out Rose trees in 2025.
Upon arrival they were very healthy and thriving plants after planting I had flowers within two weeks.
Now into the second week they are fantastic. I get constant compliments on them. I wish it was possible to send pictures but can’t find a way.

I ordered 2 peach trees and a Norfolk Island pine. Overall very happy with experience and would order from this company again. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the Norfolk Island pine had two broken branches. The branches were broken prior to shipping so it was definitely shipped to me that way. Probably the reason why it was on sale.

I have been totally satisfied with the whole process. The plants arrived in healthy condition which iwas concerned for my first order. I have ordered more plants and they have all been very good 👍

This company is a complete scam. I am impressed with how legit they appear to be, but if buy from them you will be disappointed. A truly sick group of people lying and defrauding their customers.

Company is a scam. They advertise the one year guarantee but it’s false advertising. Customer service is terrible if available at all.

We placed an order for 24 Blue Juniper Wichita trees one month ago. They were nice people and happy to take our money. No communication since. Finally my husband had to call and see what what happening. No problem says the lady. We will have our trees in seven days. On the day, no trees. No phone call or e mail so we called. "We do not have the trees." What? I was furious. I had hired three guys, already paid them, had the holes dug, mulch delivered. All ready to go. Not one of the people I spoke had anything to say except, the shipment was delayed, the weather was bad, the product was defective. I don't care what the problem was they should have at least called us and told us what was happening. Worst company I have ever worked with. Zero customer service that barely speak english. Sounds like some kind of scam .

The first dogwood I got died but because I had only a one year warranty it was too late to use it. A few weeks ago I ordered a new different dogwood with a partial credit. These trees are very expensive but having used them a few before I thought I’d try them again. I’ve bought a few wisteria trees from them that are beautiful and thriving. I believe Elvis was the person I spoke to. I told him it rains a lot here and where I want to put it was full sun. He said it would be fine. It was wilted getting it out of the box and it’s been about 2 weeks and a few days since it was planted. It’s been raining here about 5 days a week the last two weeks and when it’s not it’s very hot here in the south. It has transplant shock which is expected but we used a root stimulator. It also has heat stress, overwatered, and what seems to be a fungal disease. I’ve spoken to a few of them, Ralph but also a manager named Marvin. I bought a two year warranty and was told since the tree is still alive they can’t honor a warranty and they’d schedule Elvis to call me back. I said what is the point, he’s the one that sold it to me not telling me they prefer partial sun. It’s their duty to know these things about the products they sell. I feel like I’ve been swindled. Their sales people don’t know much about what they’re selling or informing customers of important information. If I would have known, I would’ve picked a different tree. Beware of this company. I’ll take my REPEAT business to my local nursery. Unfortunately it’s an expensive lesson to learn for a birthday gift. I’ll be spreading a warning anywhere I can about these scammers.

Last year, we ordered two trees from your company. Both arrived with only a few leaves, and the root systems were less developed than I expected for a "7 Gallon Tree." While they stayed alive, they never produced leaves or buds this year and still looked like two twigs in my backyard. I spoke with someone who understood the issue and, with minimal effort on my part, issued a full refund. This time, I ordered one tree, which arrived quickly and in good condition. It looks better than the twig it replaced (though still a stick for the price), with a somewhat developed root system, and unlike the previous order, it was shipped in a container instead of a bag..

I purchased several Arborvitae in September 2025 to complete the landscaping around my new backyard pool house in Swansea. Knowing the harsh New England winter was fast approaching, I made sure to plant them immediately and followed all proper planting guidelines. While most of the trees survived, one turned completely brown and died by the spring of 2026.
I reached out to customer service, fully expecting this to be a simple fix. I went through their entire required chat interaction and provided all the necessary documentation, only to be told that my claim was denied. According to the representative, my trees were suddenly only covered by a 60-day warranty, not the 1-year warranty they heavily advertise.
This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic. They hook you with the promise of a full one-year guarantee, but quietly alter the terms to a significantly lesser timeframe once the order is finalized. It is incredibly bad business that they are willing to lose a customer over replacing a single defective tree. I will be purchasing my replacement elsewhere and will absolutely not do business with them again. Beware of their deceptive warranty practices before you buy!

What an absolutely warm, professional, welcoming staff fast growing trees provides. Carmela guided me through all the different citrus and fruit trees that would grow here in Florida. I felt supported throughout the entire experience and look forward to receiving my trees. The follow up email welcoming me into this community was also exceptional.

Delivery was delayed by almost two months, then when it finally arrived, the fertilizer was all over the box and tree. A message was sent to customer service with no real solution just indicating they would contact delivery about the damage. A week after that I ask what the status is. They say they are unable to do anything without a picture of the tree. They never said it in the first place? By now we already cleaned all the fertilizer off the tree and our driveway. NEVER AGAIN.....

I placed an order and was given a estimated shipping date that was 2 weeks out. When I checked the status at the shipping date, it had been delayed for an additional week. When I checked the status one week later it had been pushed out another 4 1/2 weeks.
They shouldn't take orders for things they don't have.

Horrible company! I paid for a Slender Hinoki Cypress in March, and they promised I would get it mid June 2026.....well after calling them twice there is ZERO TREES AVAILABLE!!!! What a SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!! Never buy from them!!!!! Would never recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!! They really get a ZERO RATING !!!!!!!!

Our tree arrived in perfect condition. We noticed a cottony substance on the leaves and stems while we were planting. We inquired about the substance, sent photos and were assured by the representative that the cottony substance was harmless and had blown onto our plant from a nearby cottonwood plant. Our little crepe Myrtle is already blooming. It’s perfect!

OMG! Is really all I can say.
Well,
I was searching for the sting arborvitae and found them on fast growing trees.com
I saw they were having a sale on these particular trees for a 6pack (3 gallon size)
The price came to 252.00 for the pack of 6.
I immediately purchased this along with a buy one get one free lavender plants.
I was excited for their arrival until I only received 2 of the sting arborvitae and received an email that it was completed.
I called them and I gotta tell ya their customer service is incredibly incompetent.
They looked at the receipt and said I bought buy one get one free so that completes the order. AHHHH. GRRR
I told them to check again because one arborvitae does NOT cost 252.00 !!!
Told them to check the promo they had for a 6 pack.
Needless to say, not one person knows what they are doing over there and I can't get anyone that has even a half a brain.
In fact, one of their agents asked me to count the number of branches. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!
I got robbed!!

Shady tactics to avoid giving a refund.
I ordered a tree and waited days with no updates—the status was stuck on "Your order is in progress." The moment I got tired of waiting and hopped onto their online chat to demand a refund, suddenly they claimed FedEx was picking it up.
The chat support started stalling, so I called customer service directly to get my refund. Magically, as soon as I asked, a tracking number appeared, and the agent claimed a refund was now impossible. To make it worse, their stories didn't align: one person said FedEx was picking it up right then, while another said it wouldn't ship until tomorrow.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the online chat went completely dead, and the phone agent told me a supervisor was unavailable and would "just tell me the same thing anyway." Absolute bait-and-switch tactics to lock in a sale and block a cancellation. Avoid this company.

Paid for a warranty, but when it comes to using it, fast growing tress fights you all the way. I'm totally done spending any more money with these jerks.

I’ve made multiple purchases from this company over the years. It felt good to know that they would guarantee my purchase for 1 year. I live in zone 10 and all my purchases are in that zone. A couple months ago I purchased a blueberry bush that now has a rust looking disease. After a second request to send them pictures along with a diagnosis of the diseased plant, Dennis emails me back saying that they won’t refund me because the zone doesn’t match my purchase. Needless to say, I told him that all my purchases are from zone 10. Below is our correspondence. Looks like Gurney’s will get my future business. I haven’t looked at their feedback yet though?

No, I don't understand why Dennis since my order was specifically for all plant orders in zone 10! Your response as well as mine will be posted on Trust Pilot and google for everyone to see how you don't honor your 1 year guarantee. I've purchased multiple times from your company. To lose a good customer over $50 goes to show that you don't give a shit about repeat business. Duane Rapini 561 601 4934

Hi DUANE,
Thank you for submitting your claim and sharing the details about your Sweetheart Highbush Blueberry. We’ve had a chance to carefully review your request, and after looking everything over, we’re unfortunately not able to approve the claim at this time.
While our guarantee covers issues related to the health and survival of plants when they’re planted and cared for according to our guidelines, it doesn’t extend to situations where plants are installed outside of their recommended USDA growing zone. Plants grown outside their ideal zone often face climate-related stress that can prevent them from thriving long-term, which is why this scenario isn't included under our warranty coverage.
Thank you again for your understanding, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to be part of your planting journey.
Dennis

I was delivered a 12 inch high Texas Sage in a 6 foot long box with absolutely no protection. As you might imagine half of the bush was broken. What the heck did they think was going to happen to that plant? I have pictures
