SERIOUS WARNING TO SELLERS CONSIDERING FANBASIS
I am posting this based on my personal experience.
I made repeated attempts to resolve a serious issue privately and professionally. FanBasis did not meaningfully engage. What followed resulted in over $12,000 in losses and raised serious concerns for me about dispute handling, account access, and seller protections.
What happened — factually:
• A customer disputed a $3,000 transaction after receiving access to proprietary systems.
• I submitted extensive documentation supporting my position, including contracts, communications, recordings, and logs.
• While that dispute was still under review, FanBasis debited my personal bank account for $3,149.50, including dispute fees.
Here is the critical issue:
FanBasis was not supposed to have access to my personal bank account.
The seller on the platform is my LLC. Customer funds were deposited into my business account, not my personal one. My personal account had been removed and was not the authorized seller payout account.
Despite this, it was charged anyway.
For clarity, my personal bank account had initially been connected during onboarding. However, long before this customer ever transacted — and under FanBasis’s direction — I updated the payout method to my LLC’s business account and removed my personal account entirely. From that point forward, only the business account was visible and selectable in the platform. I did not re-add or re-authorize my personal account at any time. I have documentation supporting this timeline.
I immediately flagged this as an error and made one narrow, reasonable request: correct the mistake and charge the proper business account. I explicitly stated I was not objecting to recovery — only to being charged personally for a business dispute.
What happened next:
• I was told their system “automatically determines eligibility.”
• When I asked for proof that my personal account was authorized, none was provided.
• I was told they would “look into it.”
• Communication then stopped entirely.
• My personal account remained thousands of dollars negative.
I warned FanBasis in writing that if the error was not corrected, I would need to open a bank dispute to protect my personal finances.
They did not respond.
On the same day I opened the bank dispute, the underlying customer dispute was closed and marked “lost,” despite extensive documentation already submitted. The timing raised serious concerns for me.
Prior to this, I had been cautioned by another business owner to document everything carefully, which is why I preserved extensive records. I spent weeks compiling evidence to avoid ambiguity. Despite this, the dispute was closed against me.
The outcome:
• Approximately $9,000 in losses tied to the customer dispute (refund plus unpaid contract balance).
• $3,149.50 taken from a personal account that was not authorized for seller payouts.
• Additional fees and financial fallout from the improper debit.
• Total losses exceeding $12,000.
• No meaningful explanation or accountability.
This is not simply about losing a dispute.
It is about how sellers may be treated when errors occur — how communication can stop, how responsibility is shifted, and how sellers can be left absorbing the consequences.
This experience also raised serious concerns for me under consumer protection standards, including the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), Regulation E, and unfair or deceptive business practices laws, particularly regarding unauthorized ACH activity and refusal to provide authorization documentation.
I am sharing this so other sellers understand:
• which accounts may actually be exposed
• how disputes may be handled in practice
• what can happen when you challenge an error instead of quietly accepting it
This reflects my personal experience, and I have documentation supporting the account removal, the dispute timeline, and the events described above.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise sellers not to use FanBasis. When a serious issue arose, I was charged from a personal account that had been removed, left thousands of dollars negative, and then met with silence instead of resolution. The way this was handled was not only extremely concerning, but legally questionable, particularly around account authorization and dispute practices. Sellers should understand that if something goes wrong, you may be left financially exposed, without documentation, without support, and without accountability — forced to absorb the losses yourself while the platform disengages. That is not acceptable for any business handling seller revenue.
Do NOT process money through Scambasis.
They will kick you off of the platform, hold your money, and refuse to pay you out.
I am not the only one who has had this issue... several colleagues of mine have also had their funds frozen, received excessive harassment, lose disputes with substantial evidence, illegal collections practices, try to withdrawal money from your account, and endless issues through the platform.
RUN away at all costs and process your money elsewhere... file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission, it will not be long before they are facing major lawsuits.
On 13th of Feb I was charged multiple times by fanbasis, a transaction which I didn’t perform nor did I authorise in anyway. I need to speak with your team. I need a phone number and a refund of funds which I didn’t authorise. And also I’d like to know who made those purchases as I’m sure you’d have it in your financial system
Their payout partner Dots is horrific.
Zero customer service.
They flagged my transfer and zero customer service help what so ever..
Go to PayPal stripe whop square etc if you need customer service…
I’m done with them
Awful support. I was invited to a slack channel after being onboarded and signed the agreement. Nothing happened for the next 2 weeks and my account was never activated so I followed up. They then told me they forgot to ask for my socials. So I provided them and 1 week went by with no follow up and nothing changed on my account. I then follow up again and they now tell me they need bank statements etc.
I signed the agreement on the 12 of January 2026 and its now more than 1 month later with no movement
AWFUL!
These guys only reply when YOU follow up
I'm asking them to close my account right now.

Support has been fantastic - these guys really know their stuff when it comes to financing options, giving our clients a smooth checkout experience, and giving us great customer service. I work with Drew Candido and he’s an absolute all-star (not even sure he sleeps). Always quick to answer questions or jump on call to figure things out. Thanks guys!
I would run from this company if you process credit cards. They have NO customer service. You literally can not call anyone. You can e-mail them and they might get backto you in couple days. Good luck if you have a problem. I have a feeling they will not be in business very long. They're holding $15,000 of our money for no reason. We pwere roessing with them for 12 month and then boom they hold our money. This is a scam going on here. I have read many, many other complaints like mone on the internet. They do not know what they are doing nad should not be processing cresdit cards. Do not use them.

This company is a joke. They do not know what they are doing. They should not be in credit card processing. There must be fake reviews here are there is no customer service. Their idea of customer service is sending an e-mail so they can hide. There is no 800# or anyone to talk to. They tried to take $30,000 out of our bank account without notice. We asked why and they refuse to respond. If you're having problems with this company contact the Florida attorney generals office or the FTC(Federal Trade Commission) and file a complaint. I would run from them. You have been warned. Now they trying to get my review removed - when I AM THE ONE WHO WAS HARMED. As you can see below - they only provide and e-mail.

This started Jan 5, 2025. I purchased the tutorial to start my shopify store. These ppl did nothing to assist, and did not provide the material I paid for. After trying to get my shopify up and running, I got a call from J and he hung up on me. I got a call from A about 2 weeks later. Because I asked for my material to be made available and I did not want to use credit to start a business, A hung up on me! Still have not received access to the tutorial and I have been charged for it!
They told me good luck in getting a refund, because they do NOT give refunds!
I can provide text messages, video of my screen as I try to access it from their website, and I hope Fanbasis provides the call recording that shows when I asked simply for what I purchased, I was hung up on!
Update - I finally received a refund!

DO NOT WORK WITH THESE SCAMMERS!
First of all they don't even actually help you get sales, their methods are trash and after I stopped working with them I was still getting charged. They had to refund me a couple times and this most recent time, which was today they won't refund me and just blocked me on whatsapp after asking for a refund. They randomly decided to charge me a one time fee after my subscription with them was cancelled. Biggest SCAM EVER!

Fanbasis took £374.42 from my account. I don’t know anything about this company and had never heard about them before the charge appeared in my bank. I have tried to reach out to them but there “contact us” form keeps saying error in my email address and so won’t submit. I have been unable to find any contact number for them so I am hoping making this review will forcé someone from Fanbasis to reach out to me. It is a lot of money to loose especially as I am not a business and don’t know anything about the company or their service / products!

Update to review
I can confirm Fanbasis have now refunded my money.

Initially had a major issue with a vendor, but FanBasis General Counsel stepped in and issued a full refund. They resolved the issue.
Representative for Fanbasis asks lots of questions about personal life, talks down to you for not making a lot of money currently. Gets defensive if you ask direct questions. States it's their process and will not give a direct answer. Feels like they want your payment and more information they can sell. After I asked a few questions about the process and asked to get to the goal of setting up an AI store he said I would get a refund and hung up on me.
We are extremely disappointed with Fanbasis’ handling of our refunds.
Several transactions were refunded more than 5 weeks ago, and Fanbasis confirmed that the refunds were already processed. However, the cardholder has still not received the funds to this day. The issuing bank confirms that nothing has been credited or is pending.
What makes this situation worse is the lack of real action or transparency from Fanbasis. We keep following up, but we only receive vague responses and reassurances.
A 5-week delay is far beyond normal refund timelines and is simply unacceptable for a payments platform. This has caused financial inconvenience, loss of trust with our customer, and unnecessary operational issues on our side.
At this point, it feels like Fanbasis is not actively working to resolve the problem, despite repeated follow-ups. Refunds marked as “completed” but not actually received by the cardholder is a serious issue.
We hope Fanbasis takes accountability, escalates this properly, and resolves the missing refunds as soon as possible. Until then, we cannot recommend this platform.
Watched video, which was misleading and promised the World for " push button system". After submitting $67 payment, it went into a Speil of getting more for another $197 investment. I wasn't provided any solid information on what the $67 initial invest was providing, so why throw more money at anything without solid information first. Opted not to submit more. Then received an email thanking me for purchasing the "push button system" for $67. NO OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED ABOUT ANYTHING! NO PHONE NUMBERS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACT NUMBERS for Assistance???? SCAM ?
The advertisement on Facebook leads you to believe the process is simple and fast. They charge $67 and then call a telephone number, then ask many questions. They mentioned OPM (Other Peoples Money) and Credit Leveraging, two concepts that were never mentioned in the advertisement. While I get the concept, OPM (I felt) means YOU are the "Other People" and they want to use your credit to leverage. I felt the Facebook ad was misleading and misdirecting. After about 15 minutes of answering questions, etc., I told them I did not want it. They were cordial and said "okay". Now I will see if they remove the two charges, they put on my credit card. My credit card company said I had to wait as the payments were in "Pending" status since the charges were within an hour. I can't believe how dumb I was falling for something "too good to be true". Once I began talking to someone, it felt like "Up-sell".
Joshua Solano was a great help. I appreciate his service
Josh Solano is patient and resourceful, and that makes him incredibly helpful. He's an asset to the platform.
