the service centre contacted us, stating the headlights were low in alignment. We were informed that two new headlights were required because they were 'unable to adjust' the existing ones. However, upon retrieving the vehicle, we successfully adjusted the alignment ourselves. A subsequent check at an independent second garage confirmed the headlights were correctly aligned. This discrepancy suggests that the information recorded on our MOT sheet by the service centre was inaccurate. We find this to be a serious and unacceptable misrepresentation and will not be using F1 Strood again."

Avoid At All Cost!
Son had steering pump done at this garage.They fitted a faulty pump in it.Which not only caused damaged to the pump but caused significant damaged to the pump but caused damaged to the steering rack.They admitted the fault and was meant to fix it free of charge which we allowed them to do.We even had to give them extra days to do this.Meaning son was out of a car for longer.They originally said it take one day but took four.When son took it for mot found out pump was still leaking and they caused more damage again as was like it was before.We contacted them gave the evidence we needed and still waiting for our money back.This has caused us so much stress.We trusted this garage with our car but they gave us more issues then it originally went in for and now we have broken car and left out of pocket.Please look at other reviews on other sites as they had loads of bad reviews in the last 8 months.Please avoid save you car being worse then when you put it in.It will save you stress and of trying to get back money they owe you and are entitled to.I wish we hadn't put our trust in this shocking garage!

On 2nd March I visited the Strood F1 auto centre. The tyre I required was not in stock so I booked a an appointment for Tuesday 4th March at 11:00. I turned up and was told that the tyre has not turned up yet! The receptionist told me that he would call when the tyre arrived - It is now Thursday 6th March! No phone call or any form of update. I have now sourced the tyre from an alternative provider - They obviously don't want my custom - then again if their workmanship is as good as their customer service then I probably dodged a bullet.

Easy to find what I wanted online (by far the best price for 2 Goodyear tyres). An appointment was made for fitting and the job was completed within 15 minutes of my booked time on a busy Saturday afternoon so no complaints at all. I would definitely use this center (Strood) again.
Worst experience ever at having 2 tyres fitted at your Strood branch. Turned up early as requested for appointment, made a point of saying I will be waiting for my vehicle in waiting area, waited over an hour and when I enquired about the time it was taking I was informed it was all done and just sitting in workshop with all fitters just standing in a group talking amongst themselves!
No paperwork for work done
Booking my MOT and being able to pick a date/time and pay for it online, made the user experience easy and straight forward. Nice staff too!!
I got one of their budget tyres (£51) and it lasted 24 hours. I got another one (had to pay again, they said the side had a slit) and it lasted three days. Went elsewhere to replace and ok since. Not claiming refund as they can always say it is something external but I wanna post this review in case I can start a "me too" campaign . Can't fault the staff there though, just their materials are being criticised and it could be a national thing across the entire chain.
Quick and efficient service I have received constantly, ensures I will always bring my car in. They have never done work that wasn't needed and have always shown me the parts that have been relaced where possible. Great service by all, especially the lady on the desk, she is fab.

I made an appointment to change the two tyres in the back and wheel alignment, they changed the tyres and there was no problem when it came to aligning the wheels. They said that my car had a faulty suspension, it was true and they could only align it when I fixed it. Ok, that's fine for me, I went to fix the suspension when I got back there to align the wheels they said they didn't align the wheels because my car is a Mercedes Benz c350e from 2018, the suspension had airbags so I had to go to Mercedes because They had a special machine to align the rear wheels of my car. I spoke to Mercedes and they said that the Formula One Autocentre guys were lying and that they didn't want to go through the trouble of aligning the wheels. That's why I went to Tyre pros autocentre in Gillingham and didn't hear any problems, they aligned the wheels and said the same as Mercedes, Formula One autocenntre they didn't want to go through the trouble of aligning my wheels.

So, I have now been to this centre three times in two months and feel the need to comment. The service has been great and Logan the tyre guy has looked after my cars on each occasion. Great service with no desire to up sell services and clear understanding of tyre wear. This makes me want to trust the team and reassured me that maybe the myth that every garage is there to rip you off is untrue. Running a car will always surprise you but three visits with two different vehicles and no ‘surprise you definitely need this ‘ leads me to say that i can work with these guys. Logan is great and needs recognition goes about his job like a super star! Well done ! I am now finding myself recommending the Strood garage team to family ! And that is a compliment
I can not recommend this garage enough, as a single mum who has no knowledge about cars, I would be lost without manager Dave and his team. They have saved my life and car on more than one occasion and nothing is too much trouble. As a woman I have experienced lots of garages that rip you off because of your lack of knowledge. Dave doesn't do this, his love for his job is enough to help people and that is rare. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.
I will not use any other garage now.

They provided me with great advice re the best route to sourcing a part quickly and inexpensively, so it could pass the MOT.
When I called a couple of weeks later to say there was still a rattle from the underside, their response was "Pop in any day this week." When I did, the car was straight in and up in the air within two minutes of arriving, and I was back out (with no rattle) within fifteen minutes. Brilliant service, and never made to feel patronised for not having the first clue what was wrong with it :-)
Very helpful staff especially young lad called Logan...actually saved me money and explained everything I needed to know about what he'd done. First class experience.
Visited on a Sunday as tyre was deflated. They were really helpful and advised of the wait time upfront. Once tyre was being looked at they were brilliant at letting me see what was wrong and explaining all my options, without trying to push any expensive repairs. Really genuine service, would definitely recommend.
