Regarding the transport that was booked to transport my mother to Macclesfield hospital:
My mother had an appointment at MACCLESFIELD hospital at 18 December 2024 at 11:00am. The driver arrived 10.09am. He informed me that he had another pick up. As we approached SANDBACH I asked where we were going. CREWE he replied. I informed him that we would be late for the appointment. He muttered something about meeting an ambulance somewhere.
He arrived to pick up this other patient in CREWE. He knocked on her door. After a brief chat he got back in the vehicle. I asked where the other patient was. NOT COMING was his reply. I said to him that he had taken us out of our way to CREWE and all the way back through CONGLETON to get to MACCLESFIELD hospital. EIGHTY (80) minutes to get there.
My mother was sick as over eighty minutes travelling is beyond a joke.
DUTY OF CARE comes to mind.
I feel someone was clearly lacking it.
Someone at his company or he could have rung the other patient to find out if transport was needed or not.
Needless to say we were late for the appointment. This company is a joke and they should not have the contract of transporting patients on this inept display.
