Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us Neil. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.

We understand how frustrating it must have been to experience delays, have to chase for updates, and not receive the communication you were expecting. This is not the level of service we aim to provide.

We're also sorry to hear about the issues surrounding your cancelled reservation and the delay in receiving your refund, this was however returned back to you last week prior to you writing this review.

Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. We value all customer feedback and would welcome the opportunity to discuss anything further and hopefully work towards a resolution if we can, with a suitable vehicle purchase.

Volvo Selekt S90 purchase, return, and immediate re‑listing

I am leaving a one‑star review to document my purchase, return, and the immediate re‑listing of a Volvo Selekt 2019 S90 (KV69 OVC) from Endeavour Volvo Romford. This summary reflects the timeline and outcomes exactly as they occurred.

Preparation and Documentation
The vehicle was sold with a written commitment to full Volvo Selekt preparation and a catch‑up service. On the day of collection, the MOT was still in progress, resulting in a three‑hour wait, and the car was released with an active MOT advisory. The catch‑up service did not appear in Volvo’s central system until it was manually uploaded later by the retailer. Only minimal documentation was provided at handover.

Vehicle Condition
After taking the car home, I identified a 1.5 cm tear through the boot floor and significant debris underneath from the previous owner. I funded two independent inspections, both of which recorded a misaligned crash bar, a damaged rear heat shield, a loose exhaust clip, and paint indicators consistent with a previous rear impact. The air filter and spark plugs were also found to be old components. Based on these findings, in my opinion, the vehicle did not meet the expected Volvo Selekt preparation standards.

Resolution
The retailer declined to carry out repairs and instead offered a full refund, which was completed after contact with Volvo UK. This left me without a vehicle and responsible for the cost of the independent inspections. No acknowledgement was made of the structural findings or the boot‑floor tear.

Re‑listing
Within 2–3 hours of returning the vehicle, it was re‑listed online as a Volvo Selekt car. External advertising stated “full service history,” which did not match the records visible in the central Volvo system. The retailer later stated that their service department considered the vehicle satisfactory.

Summary
This review is provided to document the preparation, condition, and handling of this vehicle, and to assist future customers in making informed decisions.

Appalling service, later resolved

Volvo wrote to request that I contacted Volvo NW London to resolve a product recall battery issue. The bookings line could not make a booking, the service department does not answer its phone, nor does it respond to messages. Terrible customer service, non-existent communications. Infuriating, especially as it is a safety issue relating to a faulty product.

** it was very kind of Mr Vaziri to reply to my message here, and I did write directly to him, as he suggested - and he has now helped arrange a fix later next month.

Ipswich Hyundai

Ipswich Hyundai
Sales team are professional, friendly and helpful.
Every single interaction with the service reception has been difficult, confrontational and unpleasant. Passive aggressive training apparently mandatory, manager rude and obstructive, horrible communication - no the clever email saying the car is there ( we know!) and who might eventually perform the specific task is not helpful. This is our second (so we have consistent experience) and last Hyundai purchase, the car is fine, the service department locally is shocking. Avoid.
Addendum
Brief meeting with new manager who understood our concerns. Fingers crossed he can manage to turn things around 🤞

New Alpine garage in Gerrads Cross…

New Alpine garage in Gerrads Cross opened this year. Has oversold the range ability of their new 290 GTS and despite many complaints and evidence of the car delivering range at 50-60 % of actual range for the car. Service department have provided many excuses of why that may be the case and despite testing the car supposedly and a software update have not provided any convincing explanation of the gap in performance. Also follow up on compensation for a significant delay in repairs on the car due to delivery defects. This has still not been provided 2 months on.

No after sales service from sales team and no care for customer satisfaction. Disappointing service from a new car dealership for a premium brand. No escalation to manager or the dealership and avoidance to tackle issues raised and no resolutions provided.

Thank you for your feedback, with EV vehicles there are many variables that can affect range. To assist with your concern and to establish if a manufacturing defect is present, we have liaised with technical department and have the vehicle booked in for road tests as instructed by technical team.

A goodwill gesture has been offered for the delay on the original booking and is in hand and will be processed in due course.

Please be assured your case has been escalated internally and with Alpine Customer Care case. Customer care is an absolute priority for us, as a new agent we did experience some IT delays and apologise for this.

Ipswich Hyundai -The worlds worst…

Ipswich Hyundai -The worlds worst garage.

Recently tried numerous times to contact the service department, the phone rings for 20 seconds then goes to answer phone, I left 3 messages over several different days and not once did they call me back. On the 4th attempt to talk to them I chose the sales option and the phone was answered almost straight away, I told the sales person that I could not get in contact with the service department so he emailed them to call ASAP me and they still did not call me back.

The only way I could talk to the service department was to drive 20 miles and stand in the queue at the desk.

The centralised call centre is just as bad, you spend 30 minutes in a queue then get a very unhelpful rude person.

My company has several Hyundai's and we have all had problems getting them booked in at the Ipswich branch.

All the staff seem grumpy and very unhelpful, we will not be buying Hyundai's again which is a shame as we really like the cars, the after-sales service is non existent.

Do your self a favour and avoid the Ipswich service department at all costs.

Service department

Service department:

- constantly promises things that don't happen
- impossible to get hold of / never calls back

Their basic problem is that they are taking on too much servicing volume for their site (just take a look at their over-packed car park).

Volvo HQ do need to resolve the problems with this place though - it's doing real and sustained damage to Volvo's brand reputation.

Not good

My Car has been in on numerous occasions for a noise, which i understand is not the easiest to diagnose but it has never been fixed.
It has now also developed a EGR fault, car is already booked in for the 20th July for a service and hopefully a repair to the noise but they are unable to get me in any earlier to investigate the engine issue.
On top of this Endeavour closed my local Hyundai dealership so rather than a 2 mile journey i now have to travel around 60 miles on a roundtrip.
The staff at Ipswich are pleasant enough and i am aware that they are only complying to Endeavours rules and regs but the whole place is impossible to communicate with, i have managed to get the noise diagnosed and the EGR fault diagnosed by a mechanic at my place of work (truck dealership)
I have tried to inform the dealership that what the issues are so they could make sure the parts are in stock, but this is not possible as they need to investigate themselves (something they have attempted 3 times before)
As someone else stated there is no way of contacting endeavour to complain about the inept communication.
It seems the management within the business is faceless and maybe lacks the backbone to listen to customers concerns/ problems themselves rather than hiding behind a Bot.
Very poor

Worst dealership I have ever experienced

Endeavour Colney Hatch Lane is by far the worst dealership experience we have ever had.

My father’s car was booked in for a recall. Since then, we have been repeatedly told we would receive updates and call-backs on specific days — and not once did they follow through.

Every time we chased, we were told “we will call you back today” or “by tomorrow”, and those calls simply never came. This happened multiple times over several days. We were left constantly chasing for basic updates that should have been given without us having to ask.

After I called again to challenge the lack of updates and repeated broken promises, a member of the service department then called my father shortly after and spoke to him in a very hostile and aggressive manner. He raised his voice and questioned why we had been calling the dealership, rather than addressing the fact that no one had been returning our calls as promised.

This level of communication and customer service is completely unacceptable. Being repeatedly lied to about call-backs and then spoken to aggressively when we follow up is not how customers should be treated.

We have also had previous issues with this same service department where a vehicle was kept for days with no communication at all, despite being told it would be ready.

The core issue here is simple: they promise to call and they don’t. When you chase, you are met with poor attitude instead of accountability.

This is the worst dealership experience we have ever had, and we would not recommend this service department to anyone.

We understand how frustrating it can be when you’re expecting updates and don’t receive them as promised. Keeping our customers informed throughout the repair process is something we take seriously, and we’re disappointed to hear that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion.

We’re also concerned by your comments regarding the interaction you describe with a member of our team. Courtesy and professionalism are values we expect from all of our colleagues, and your feedback will be reviewed internally to ensure we fully understand what happened.

Whilst delays can occasionally occur, we recognise that clear communication is essential, and we apologise if this was lacking during your father’s visit.

We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as feedback such as yours helps us identify where we need to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us in the future.

A Frustrating Seven Months That Ended on a Positive Note

My initial experience with Endeavour Volvo West London was incredibly frustrating. My Volvo XC90 was with the dealership for around seven months, during which I received very little proactive communication and had to repeatedly chase for updates myself. Over that period, I dealt with three different service advisors as the previous two left, which made the process feel disjointed and, at times, like my car had disappeared into a black hole.

Despite approving all repair work promptly and agreeing to have the vehicle moved to another location to help progress matters, I was rarely given clear timelines or meaningful updates. The lack of communication was by far the most disappointing aspect of the experience.

Update: Following my original review, Endeavour contacted me very quickly and arranged for me to deal directly with the service manager. From that point onwards, the experience changed significantly. He was incredibly helpful, responsive and took ownership of the situation. Thanks to his efforts, my car was repaired and returned within around 2–3 weeks. I really appreciated the professionalism and urgency he showed once he became involved.

While my initial experience was extremely disappointing and not what I'd expect from a premium brand, I do want to recognise the excellent service provided by the manager after my review. I hope the improvements in communication and ownership that I experienced at the end of the process become the standard for all customers going forward.

Unfortunately both sales and post sales…

Unfortunately both sales and post sales experience has not been what we'd expect from a respected brand. Having bought our X60 hybrid in September 2025, we've had various issues with the battery. Having bought via the Selekt network we'd hoped for any issues to be resolved promptly. Having experienced issues with a cell in the battery in December we are still waiting for the issue to be resolved. We are driving a hybrid car that the battery can not and will not charge - which defeats the point of having it.

Decline in Customer Service Since Endeavour Took Over

Since Endeavour took over at our local Hyundai dealership in Ipswich, we have experienced a significant decline in customer service. Over the past year we have often experienced poor attitude and an apparent lack of customer service training. This morning a pleasant young girl did her best but seemed inexperienced. Phoning the bookings line nearly always results in very lengthy waits with 'you are 15th in the queue'! Leaving a message with Service usually doesn't get a return call. The customer car park is so small it is often impossible to park and there is no on-street parking. This morning, customers were just abandoning their cars so they could get into the service reception creating a situation where technicians couldn't retrieve cars to get into the workshop, customers were blocked from leaving promply, and a customer couldn't get their courtesy car out. This is completely unacceptable and we are no longer considering replacing one of our Hyundai's with a new one from this dealership - we'll go where we feel better valued.

My experience with this dealership was…

Update: Following the company's response to this review, I emailed the requested information and supporting documents. A week later, I had still received no response. I have sent a further follow-up email and remain awaiting an update. Unfortunately, this continues the pattern of poor communication described in my original review.

My experience with this dealership was disappointing, not because of the money involved, but because of the poor customer service and lack of communication.

When arranging collection of my vehicle, I asked to collect it at 6:00 PM after work. The salesperson insisted on a 5:00 PM appointment instead, so I had to leave work early and make a long journey to the dealership.

Despite insisting on the earlier appointment, I was then left waiting for around 90 minutes before being seen. By the time it was my turn, the DVLA system was unavailable, meaning the ownership transfer could not be completed and I was asked to return the following day.

As a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience and wasted journey, I was promised reimbursement of my expenses and was asked to email my receipt. I was told the payment would be processed within 5 working days.

2 months later, the payment has still not been received. I have sent follow-up emails and made phone calls. I was told that the salesperson I had been dealing with had left the company and that someone would call me back within 10 minutes. No one ever did.

The amount involved is relatively small, but what is disappointing is the complete lack of communication and failure to honour a commitment that was made to a customer. A simple explanation or update would have been appreciated.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
We are genuinely sorry to read that your collection experience fell short of the standard we aim to provide. We appreciate that leaving work early, making a significant journey to the dealership, and then experiencing a lengthy delay was frustrating, particularly when the DVLA system outage ultimately prevented the handover from being completed on the day.

We are also disappointed to learn that the goodwill reimbursement you were promised has not yet been received and that your subsequent attempts to obtain an update have not been responded to as expected. Regardless of any staff changes that may have taken place since your purchase, commitments made to our customers should be followed through and communication should remain consistent.
We would welcome the opportunity to investigate this matter fully and ensure it is resolved.

Please contact us directly on daniel.bridge@endeavourautomotive.co.uk with your details and any previous correspondence so that a member of our management team can review the situation and provide an update as soon as possible.
