I opened my account few years ago, i have purchased few things. I tried to sell two old cpu from an old desktop and got permanently banned.
I received an email saying my account was permanently suspended with no way to appeal or request the reasons for my suspension.
I'm now permanently banned from using Ebay forever without a given reason. I have tried everything, called the support but nothing.

I posted a good for selling ( private to private), but I did not receive any bits and any messages about it. I managed to sell it by word of mouth.
I wanted to cancel my ad, which I could not, and now they are asking me to pay 45sh euros without explaining why.
is it the cost of putting the ad?
To pay them I have to register my credit card, and I do not want to do that. once solve the problem good by forever.
real rubber. I stopped using eBay for the same reason years back and I fell again in their spider web. my bad for trusting them again.
A word of advice: stay away from this platform, a real global scam.

persecuted and threatened with death two people? Disturbing is an understatement, a book about how to recover from the death of your spouse? the pig's head? I will no longer use the platform, for me it is undermined for life, what horror and what a pity. Rather than a 3 million fine, the person who did this would be the one to be struck down. We need more severe punishments for these mafiosi. It is scandalous that they are still there with the power to replicate such rubbish. Since I've never felt comfortable on the platform, everything is questionable, let alone after this. I don't agree with what they did at all. It's just terrible. I don't agree with the facts of Ebay, it no longer represents what it should represent.

This platform simply cannot be topped. Amazon has gotten shady and pricey lately, whereas eBay remained the best in every front: from the linear UI, to the browsing itself. From selling, to purchasing... And everything else in-between (such as the variety of payment methods, the coupons, the best offer feature, or the convenient implementation of Packlink). Finally, auction sniping and bidding will never stop being fun and advantageous! I hope this website will never stop being so great.

The customer service is non-existent. You get an issue, you spend hours talking to their 'representatives' but really, nobody will ever help you.
You're going to lose money. that's the only truth about ebay that will always be true for anyone using this platform.

I recently sold some items abroad.
For starters they declare their share on the whole sale amount to be 5%.
IT'S A LIE.
My last item sold at € 199 + € 45 for shipping, totaling € 244.
Their cut amounts to € 22.37, which makes 10%.
Then they forced me to ship abroad by purchasing the shipment label through their site.
I did so and as a result their system generated an unreadable and unusable shipping label. I notified their customer service which didn't even bother to read my note and kept sending the same failed label.
I immediately canceled the shipping request, applied for refunding and purchased a new shipment by myself with the italian national mail service.
I finally got a refusal from their packlink service stating that as the label they provided was already scanned (by whom? It was canceled almost immediately!) I wasn't anymore eligible for reimbursement.
So I had to pay twice for the shipment further to being robbed an extra 5% on the transaction.
Last but not least, no matter that I requested immediate payment and that the buyer honored the request, they are going to keep my monies frozen on their account for one month.
This is the very last time I'm going to sell something on their platform.

I shouldn't even rate it one single star because ebay has 0 respect for their "valued" sellers! They ALWAYS decide in favour of the buyers even when they aren't right, and the buyers know that so they use and abuse their rights as buyers. On all other platforms, the buyers AND sellers are entitled to a full refund in case of loss or damage during transit. On eBay, they don't even try to contact the transport company, they simply charge the seller and force them to refund or pay for return shipping fees in case the buyer decides he doesn't want the item anymore or alleges it's faulty, used or fake! Most buyers try to keep the item but open claims with false allegations. When a buyer opens a claim for a delayed delivery, they automatically assume it's lost and force the seller to fully refund the buyers without even trying to contact the transport company or the seller to know what is happening! What a scam! What a complete lack of respect! That is why they are losing clients everyday!

Just opened new account after relocation, and they suspended it after few days. Glad i did nothing. Good bye!

I have been a loyal client for 6 years, today they decide to close my account for god knows why, and no way to ask what is going on...

My ebayshop is closed after 10 years. Less buyers, and ebay is like a thieve.
Don't start here, waisted money!!

Absolutely abysmal. After creating an account I was immediately banned. No reason is given and trying to email them just gives you back the same generic non-informative response.

Obviously I was not welcome there. Whatever. But then they also refuse to delete my account. Meaning my personal information is now stored for absolutely no reason on some random service that refuses to provide me any service at all.

Avoid this website at all cost. If anything goes wrong outside of your control, you're basically screwed with them. Forever.

Years ago I heard about excellent reputation of the eBay platform, where privates can sell their items with a decent third-party system, that ensure the seller get money and the buyer get what he wants.

I don’t noticed when it changed, but in 2022, it is a platform with the worst support I ever seen. You are not protected anyhow, even if you see it is all secure to buy, and eBay will care everything goes smooth. If something happens, like with me two times, they will simply not read the description of the problem, simply send it to the seller, and if he will not want, he will not do anything. Like that the support of an order will be closed. No human interaction at all. You simply have to deal with the seller.
In total with ebay I have lost 700 eur approximately.
No more deals with ebay. For me it is over. I will spend my energy and retell all stories I have experienced with ebay, so that they will not use it. I really hope they go bankrupt.

Suspending accounts for not reason and keeping the money

Very disappointed with slow reaction of Ebay to resolve an issue of non delivery of purchase item. The seller says they tried to refund and it failed, thus is nonsense. The seller stated Ebay would make the refund ,why, I don't know. The slow reaction from Ebay and the seller will make me think again before using Ebay to buy anything. There is supposed to be a guarantee but I have seen no evidence of it yet. Impossible to contact Ebay except through their automated responses.

Finally, a promise by Ebay to refund the purchase price, not before time, this doesn't excuse dishonest sellers!!!

Buyers have no guarantee to receive the product that they ordered and ebay does not help
