The Best Experience. We enquired about the Part Exchange Scheme and we was accepted in under 2 weeks! The process was as smooth as the house buying process can be! The Sale Team and Sales progressor was in constant contact and since we have moved in the Site Team have been so helpful!

From start to finish i have had support and guidance.
Staff are friendly and approachable.
No question has been a silly question.
Couldn't of asked for better to be honest.
From sales staff to on site staff. All have been great at Burleyfields.

We love the house. It is well built and the flow of a David Wilson Home is something different to other viewings we had. It has a premium feel and it is in a prime location, but also very quiet at night, the perfect combo! The site team including Katie and Hannah have been very supportive throughout the process and still are to this day.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Buying our David Wilson home was far from straightforward, but thanks to the outstanding support of Amy Taylor, we are now happily settled into our dream home.
The final weeks of our purchase were incredibly stressful, with delays and complications in the chain, but Amy went above and beyond to keep us informed, reassure us and do everything she could behind the scenes to keep our purchase moving. We genuinely believe that without her dedication, determination and exceptional customer service, our move may never have happened.
We are now mortgage free, my husband can enjoy his retirement, and we absolutely love our new home – even Kevin the cat has settled in perfectly!
Amy is an absolute credit to David Wilson Homes, and we can’t thank her enough for helping make our dream a reality.

Only moved in a few weeks ago. The process was smooth and we felt supported by the wonderful sales team. Since we have moved in, any issue has been dealt with timely. The site staff are very friendly and considerate. I would recommend DWH.

Overly aggressive completion deadline.
Good handover although could have been improved if broadband external wiring had been done and water cylinder set up had been done to allow us quick and easy connections.
Poor quality turf full of weeds isn’t the best start for a garden.
House hadn’t been cleaned particularly well.
Very helpful site manager helping to work through the snagging list.
Very happy to be in the house which we love and know the initial hiccups are probably normal.
Lovely development and well laid out.

Well people knock new builds and I know it can vary form site to site but from the day we first walked in to look at the show home to today, 2 weeks after we moved in, DWH have gone above and beyond.
The sale advisor who has gone through the journey with us, helping sort our any issues along the way, has been brilliant even down to putting some ice lollies in our new freezer as we moved on the hottest day of the year and left treats not only for us but for our 5 cats, you never felt like just another customer.
The house, well been more than happy with the quality, price was very competitive and the incentives on top made it a great price and we have been part of the process since the day we walked in to their offices, been able to see it whenever we wanted.
We did a pre move in snag list and nearly every single item was done on move in day, just about all were just small cosmetic things.
Since moving in we had a couple of faults, one extractor not working, that was replaced within 24 hours and after nearly 2 weeks we had an issue locking the back door, reported this and 30 mins later someone was here fixing it and someone coming tomorrow less than 72 hours after reporting a couple of silly cable issues with the aerial and one network point, electrical guys on the phone and arranged a visit to sort them. Honestly more than happy with the response, clearly you will find the odd thing, its how they sort it that makes all the difference and so far they have responded very quickly.
I can only say it as we have found it and David Wilson have given us exactly what we wanted and expected and more.

Over and above!
Outstanding customer care and service provided by all involved. In particular Lauren at the Highgrove sales office who has been exceptional on every level in providing the utmost support and guidance during the whole purchase process. Her care, consideration and conscientiousness in driving the process and guiding every step of the way has been second to none. I am so very grateful to David Wilson Homes and specifically Lauren for all that she has done to get me into the home of my dreams. As well as being incredibly professional and efficient, she has demonstrated genuine care and committment all the way through. I would highly recommend David Wilson Homes to anyone considering a new build property.

DWH is the best building developer when it comes to space, design and services. They render a great service to me from start to finished. I recommend everyone to buy a property with them.

John from Customer Care came to do a couple of snags, and he was polite, diligent and helpful. David Wilsons in general have been pretty good; not always, but the Cusomer Care Team really do try their best to resolve issues.

I've been living in a David Wilson new home at the stables cotgrave for nearly 3:weeks now and I can really recommend this development it's beautiful with different styles of houses and the beauty of it is having the country park on your doorstep.
The sales advisor Jono is very welcoming , helpful , friendly and caring and does have a good sense of humour too, also the site manager to. the aftercare is very good so if you are looking for a new build house then you can't go wrong with the stables.

John Hewitt from customer care was booked last minute to finish off repair to shower wall. He was very professional, friendly and courteous. The quality of work was excellent, would definitely recommend. Many thanks John

We’ve now been in our David Wilson home for over a year, and unfortunately the aftercare has been extremely disappointing.
Our biggest ongoing issue is the water pressure. We regularly experience poor water pressure and intermittent cold water during showers, making something as simple as having a shower frustrating. The pressure is so poor that we can’t flush a toilet or use the washing machine while someone is showering without the water flow being significantly affected or turning cold.
We’ve reported this issue countless times, and the plumber has visited around 10 times, yet there is still no resolution more than a year after moving in.
What makes this even more concerning is that we’re not the only household affected. Several neighbours have reported experiencing the same water pressure issues, yet there has been no meaningful communication from David Wilson Homes about the root cause, what is being done to fix it, or when a permanent solution can be expected.
The lack of communication has been just as frustrating as the issues themselves. After each visit, everything goes quiet. We receive no updates, no clear action plan, and no proactive contact. We have to keep chasing for information, which is completely unacceptable.
This isn’t an isolated problem either. We’ve had to repeatedly chase updates on several other repairs, with the same pattern of poor communication and lack of urgency.
The house itself may look great, but the customer care and aftercare service have been incredibly poor. Once you’ve moved in, it feels like you’re left to do all the chasing yourself.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend David Wilson Homes. The quality of the aftercare has fallen well below the standard we expected when buying a new-build home.

We reside in a new David Wilson home in Ashtree Grove. We had the walled lawn visibly sloping. Several attempts were made to have it corrected and it was not until Dylan Phipps arrived on site the problem was tackled. His understanding of the customer related issues and positive, can-do approach resulted in the landscapers levelling the lawn. This entry in Trustpilot is in appreciation of Dylan’s customer support. He is a credit to David Wilson Homes.

We felt supported at every step on our part exchange journey. Thanks to the DWH team, all went smoothly. We’re more than delighted with our new home.

My home is really special with high quality features.
They dealt with the process efficiently from start to finish and kept everything on track, prompting me when needed, and completed on time. From my initial meeting at the site office to my home walkthrough, which was a big help in explaining how things work. I was left with contact details for any queries and a few follow up calls from Ben at the office, to double check I was happy.
I would recommend a David Wilson home and their service.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience. More than a year after moving into our new-build home, we are still chasing multiple unresolved defects and repeatedly being passed between departments and fobbed off with little action.
The onsite site managers were great, Deanna and Adam, but after they left the customer service has been dismal.
The biggest issue is the water pressure and temperature, affecting all homes on our street and neighboring street. The pressure is so poor that flushing a toilet or turning on another tap causes the shower run dry, and the shower temperature repeatedly swings between hot and cold. This is particularly concerning with a young child and another on the way, as it makes bathing unsafe. We have since spoken to numerous neighbours who are experiencing exactly the same problem, all with frustrating customer care experiences and lack of any resolve, so this is clearly not an isolated issue.
We have also been waiting months for other defects to be resolved, with new ones occurring including rust appearing through internal walls, a misaligned front door that is increasingly difficult to lock, and promises to replace our always dead front garden tree that have never been fulfilled. We receive automated acknowledgements, but very little meaningful communication or progress.
To make matters worse, another resident had the same water issue resolved by removing a faulty restrictor valve, yet despite one plumber telling us our home needed the same fix, no follow-up was ever arranged and we were back to square one.
The road remains unfinished with a large pothole directly opposite our drive despite all houses being finished and despite paying an annual charge for maintenance the play area and communal areas are not well maintained, with uneven unfinished pavements a hazard to pedestrians, let alone any wheelchair or pushchair users brave enough to attempt them.
After months of chasing, we have now had to escalate our concerns to the NHBC and external ombudsman.
Buying a new-build home should not mean spending over a year fighting to have defects acknowledged and repaired.
This is not even mentioning all the issues when we moved in, but we made our peace with those as they were addressed quickly by the helpful onsite team.
I hope this review encourages the developer to finally take responsibility and resolve the outstanding issues—not just for us, but for the many other residents experiencing the same problems, and if all else fails stops someone else making the mistake we did and purchasing a new home here.

Sales team were quite aggressive - I understand they are pressured but they must also truly understand (and not just say it) that people moving homes are also under a tremendous amount of stress. Communications can be more flexible and straightforward given the significance of the asset they are selling both financially and in terms of what a house represents to most people.
Edit July 2026: after a few weeks of moving in we have sent our snagging list through, and this is after a professional snagger has come around before we moved in. The site manager could conduct himself better as he's taken the approach of making us feel small whenever he's come around (a lot of times unannounced, mind) to verify the snags we sent through, as if we have no clue about what was on our list. Like in the other reviews, he just fobbed off almost all of snags as "normal" and it is what is. For company marketing themselves as a premium home brand, the worksmanship of the house fails far short of what one would expect.
Hindsight is great and all that but knowing what we know now we wouldn't buy another house from David Wilson.
