First time using, won’t be the last!

First time using DirectSpecs and will be our ‘go to’ in future. We expected the price to be competitive (which it was, and no excessive upselling) we were also impressed with the high standard of customer service we received and how knowledgable their staff were (thank you Gary). Would recommend to anyone.

Another trip to direct specs

We were greeted as soon aa we walked through the door. The young lady behind the counter soon made us feel at home. She had a very good knowledge of the products they sold and made sure the glass fitted correctly. She he left me a message when they were ready to collect. On collection of me new glasses it was like walking into a friend’s house the got me to try all for pairs of glasses on before I left. Very good experience thank you

First class service.

What an amazing young lady Jennifer is. She took her time in showing the frames. Nothing seemed too much trouble. A really credit to the company.

Glasses purchased 3yrs ago broke so contacted Burton branch...same frames tracked down by jenny from another branch and prescription emailed...payment including postage sent and new glasses arrived a week later by post to save a long car journey!! Gary kept me in the loop by email throughout...excellent service, delighted with outcome. Wish we had a Specs Direct nearer...brilliant prices and staff who go the extra mile too!! Thankyou.

Direct Specs Cannock awesome service

Had varifocals from Cannock branch with transition lens, found they were going too dark in cloudy weather conditions so took them back expecting‘that’s what you ordered’ only to be greeted by proper customer service offered to switch them to a non transition lens and refund what I had paid for the transitions. Friendly and professional staff definitely recommend oh and by the way the glasses were £170 cheaper than the ones I was quoted for at another glasses provider!

Had a pair of glasses made up from DS…

Had a pair of glasses made up from DS but did not fit correctly so I asked Gary if he would fit them so that there did not fall off my face. He went to great length’s to adjust them for me. Top marks to Gary for his experience and customer service. All the family now use Direct Specs for the quality of service given by Gary.

Cannock branch - fabulous staff!

I’ve dealt with the Cannock branch on numerous occasions. James is always especially nice and helpful. Today Emily was too. I would highly recommend. Thank you very much appreciated.

10/10 service from Gary

Purchased two pairs of glasses but unfortunately had miss placed prescription. Gary was so helpful, went above and beyond to ring the opticians to get my details. So helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Nothing was too much trouble for him, even on a busy Monday afternoon.

Superb Customer Service at Shirley branch

Called in as a bit of an emergency as frames bought from another supplier a while back broke. Superb customer service from Gary at Shirley branch in the Midlands, who spent a good half hour trying to find something that would take my particularly small lenses and adjusting a pair he had in stock accordingly. He would just not give up!! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service!…

Went into the Northfield branch to have new lenses fitted in my Ray Ban sunglasses. It was an extremely tricky job which took about 20 minutes to complete. Didn't even charge me a penny. Very nice staff and great service.

One very happy customer

Visited the Walsall branch several weeks ago and was attended to by a lady called Clare and I just was blown away by her customer service helping me to find the most suitable pair of glasses for my dad . She went above and beyond to help me she really is an asset to this branch . It’s so uplifting to have such an excellent service I honestly cannot thank her enough !

Visited Direct Spec in Burton this…

Visited Direct Spec in Burton this afternoon, arriving at 16:33, only to find the store closed—despite their stated opening hours being until 5 PM. There was no sign on the door, no notice, and no explanation.

I completely understand that circumstances can change and things pop up unexpectedly—but it would be far less frustrating if there was at least a note on the door. As it stands, it just feels like you don’t care about your customers.

This is the third time this has happened to me over a period of time. While the service is good when you can get into the store, the lack of communication and reliability really lets the experience down.

Fully accept that a note should have been left on the door and completely understand your frustration. Recommend a visit to direct specs Shirley ! The staff are so knowledgable and helpful , Matassa , Gary and Matt cannot do enough for you ! They went out of their way to help me , I was so grateful . They know the products and business so well . Very impressed . Prices are fantastic too !

Still a great business!

Lovely staff - travelled from out of area to use them as i’d used them year ago! Nothing too much trouble in store or on the phone! Receipts emailed to me as promised and just a lovely branch to deal with!
