We ordered two seater sofas and a chair in cream leather in April. At the time of ordering we were asked
To check what we were ordering. We chose “frost” and this was stated on order. What wasn’t made clear is that frost is four different colours depending on thickness of leather chosen. Despite ordering mid thickness as advertised on website, the salesman ordered the most expensive leather which meant it was the wrong colour. I can only assume to get maximum commission. The samples take as long as the sofa to arrive and they won’t give you sample in store. The sofa we wanted was cream and they ordered brown. BOTH are called “frost”! There is no way on order form as a customer to prove which leather you ordered. It was only that my husband and I had taken a photo of the sample on the sofa in the day we ordered we could prove it was not the same. DFS showed no care, lied, passed the buck to other Managers (more than one) and only after some battle conceded to re-order the sofa we chose but we had to wait a further 12 weeks. We ordered originally in April and took till September to resolve this all. No apology, the dodgy salesman still works there, no offer of a discount for the stress and inconvenience or bare-faced lies. If we were paying by finance I don’t think they would have resolved it. It’s only because we refused to pay. What should have been a joy to order was stressful and upsetting.

The salesperson was efficient and knowledgeable about the product. She was able to talk us through all our options and provide us with a detailed breakdown of all the costs involved.

I visited dfs in sidcup as I am moving house and I wanted to buy myself a new sofa.
As soon as I entered the shop there was a lovely sales assistant called Kay who helped us from start to finished and showed us all the sofas that met our requirements and found the perfect sofa which was the Heyden so from start to finish 10/10 for making us very happy customers

We entered the Sidcup store and were approached by a very friendly member of staff who introduced herself as Valerie and asked if she can be of any assistance. We said we were interested in seeing the Newsome sofa, Valerie took us to the sofa's and asked us if we had seen the Newsome range before and what was our plans today inregards to sofa. Valerie was extremely knowable about the sofa eg what colours it comes in and what fabrics and even took us outdoors to show us the colours in the natural daylight. The level of customer service was excellent and Valerie was extremely patient, this makes a big difference and helped us make our decision to place an order. We left the store feeling very happy with not just our purchase but with the exceptional customer service from Valerie it makes all the difference when you are spending a lot of money. Thanks Valerie.
