We recently bought a new build property from Countryside Homes at Eastbrook Village in Maghull. The house is beautiful and the sales and site staff were really friendly and on hand to deal with everything that cropped up.
The whole process was easy and seemless. Particular mentions to Ashley and Sarah who are fantastic people to deal with, nothing is too much trouble for them. Also the site manager Gary and his assistant Steve are brilliant too.
If anyone wants a New Build at Eastbrook Village I would highly recommend them. The house quality is superb and our experience couldn't have gone better.

Linda was very helpful and not at all pushy so our visit was pleasant.

I seldom make comments on Trustpilot. Subsidence occurred at the car parking space adjacent to my garden, caused cracks and damages to almost all the gravel boards of the fence. They bended inward and the fence posts are inclined. This impose immediate danger to me and my family members especially to my child. Countryside has admit that there is an design issue there which has caused the issue - gravel boards have failed. There is approx 450mm of ground which needs additional support. Their customer service department has spent more than 7 months to communicate but no remediation works have been done to address this. If the fence posts fall down and hurt someone, who will bear the responsibility? They just neglect or ignore the danger. Customer Service just keep saying it has been escalated to the management and they will contact me but so far, I have not heard anything from their management. I feel totally helpless. My garden cannot be used for the whole summer. My living room is messed with stuff originally put in the shed. This is really annoying and we feel unsafe whenever going through / into the garden.

Has anyone moved into the homes in Sherford Plymouth and wants to leave an honest review for future buyers?

The information we received was not accurate. We were bit disappointed.

We’ve just reserved our brand new home at Kingmakers View, and honestly, the whole experience has been incredible. From our very first call to view the show home, to the help we received with the assisted move scheme (our place sold in just two weeks!), all the way through to being ready to reserve, Kim has been amazing. She’s made every step feel effortless and stress free. We’re really excited for the rest of the journey. Thank you Kim!

Countryside Homes provided us with a good quality home and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. As in the building industry nothing is ever perfect therefore the after completion customer care is an essential service to have. Countryside Homes does have that great service and with care and efficiency they turned our new house into a HOME for us. Thank you!

After the stress of putting our home on the market, getting a sale, and it falling through, we were feeling very deflated about buying a property. Then one day in September I saw a new build on Rightmove with the offer of part exchange and stamp duty contributions and we were there like a rocket. A few days later we reserved our home and agreed to part exchange our property.
Jenny, at Kensington Fields, talked us through the whole process and explained everything. There were no surprises, we knew what was coming at every turn. She chased solicitors, the site team, the sales team and got everyone in ship shape. We completed and moved in exactly 8 weeks. The process was flawless. We’ve also had the benefit of an amazing straight talking site manager who has delivered on his word every time.
The house was wonderful but as with anything, there will always be little snags here and there. Nathan has popped round several times to check everything is ok, kept in touch on the phone and just been generally ace.
We are so so happy with our new home and we can only thank Jenny and Nathan’s hard work for that.
If you’re considering a Countryside Home, you won’t regret it.

Visited the South Oxhey site recently looking for a 2 bed for me and my partner.
Ree was the lady helping us and she was amazing! Very informative and showed real care and interest in what we were looking for. You can tell she really enjoys her job and that’s so lovely to see.
After visiting a few different developments, this one was by far the best experience we’ve had to date.
Thank you Ree!

Had some backwards and forwards emails with Rhodri from countryside homes. Excellent service, quick response and always ready to answer or chase an answer to my questions. Well done Rhodri.

Thank you to the team, especially Billie Canon, who has been incredibly helpful. I have never come across someone so supportive in this profession in my life. Also, a big thank you to Lisa, who has been very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process.

We purchased a new-build home under shared ownership at Dracan Village earlier this year and unfortunately our experience with Countryside/Vistry aftercare has been extremely disappointing.
Although our 10-day snagging visit (held late) began positively, several issues we raised were dismissed, unrecorded, or left unresolved. The door to a room does not close (we were told to “buy and fit a bolt" ourselves), the missing dishwasher under-panel was fitted incorrectly so the appliance would no longer open at all, sealant issues were overlooked entirely, and other snags — such as standing water and gargling in the shower which required an anti-vortex part — were refused completely because the plumber's recommended part wasn't to "Vistry specification".
All communication up to this point had been exclusively through me, as agreed with the site manager. Despite this, he later arrived at our home unannounced while I was away and asked my spouse to sign off the snag list at the doorstep without carrying out any inspection. Once that rushed sign-off was obtained, all communication from the site team stopped completely. A text I sent the very same day reporting the outstanding snags — including that the dishwasher no longer opened — went unanswered.
Weeks later, after completing the NHBC 8-week survey (where I accurately described these issues), the site manager reappeared... first by text, and then again at our door without notice. This second unannounced visit was not to arrange repairs but to argue and dispute our survey feedback. The interaction felt uncomfortable, intimidating, and entirely unprofessional.
On a positive note, the regional customer service team have been polite throughout. In a formal complaint, a Customer Service Director accepted that there had been delays and apologised for a “breakdown in communication.” However, the dismissals of valid snags, the conduct of the site manager, and the lack of follow-through have left straightforward issues unresolved for months. We have now had to commission an independent snagging report at our own cost because verbally raised items were either denied or never recorded.
A new-build developer should welcome straightforward feedback and resolve defects, not challenge customers for providing honest responses. Sign-off should never be requested on a doorstep, without inspection, and outside of the communication channel the developer themselves agreed to.
I genuinely wish my experience reflected the marketing and the promises made, but the after-sales service and complaint handling have fallen far short of what any homeowner should reasonably expect.

My experience was great from the start.l phoned Edge Development hainault team snd left s message. Rita promptly contacted me and l got an appointment to view.
On the day of the viewing l met with Imran, who showed me around and explained about the development, apartments, and the amenities and community. He was patient and helpful.
Rita helped me with money laundering search regarding what documents were required right up to completing reservation and deposit.
Her help was invaluable
They kept in contact with me every step of the way.
My experience and observations tell me that Rita and Imran are "people orientated"and they work well as a team. This gives a client confidence.
They go out of their way to help people achieve their goals.

We had an excellent experience with Nicole at Newhall Base, she was extremely helpful and spent a few hours with us going through everything in detail. Appriciate your time and help and excited for the future.

Even though they agreed to address the issues in your houses, they can say they never committed to fix it. They can simply come to have a look, then reject fixing the issue. If you want to buy their houses, think twice! Don’t be simply attracted by their sky windows. You will spend ton of time negotiating with them.
