Cole Buxton – Missing Order Experience
I placed an order for three items. Royal Mail marked the parcel as delivered. I did not receive it. The proof of delivery image does not show the parcel at my address and the signature is not mine.
I contacted Cole Buxton and confirmed:
• The parcel was not received.
• I checked neighbours and safe locations.
• I was prepared to sign a formal non receipt declaration.
The tone of the responses was disappointing. I was asked why I had waited “multiple days” to report the issue, which felt accusatory. There was repeated emphasis on the delivery driver potentially facing disciplinary action. That is an internal matter and should not be positioned in a way that places pressure on the customer.
I was then told they would not proceed with an investigation unless I provided photo ID. I asked for the lawful basis under UK GDPR and why a signed declaration was insufficient. No clear explanation was provided.
Under UK consumer law, risk remains with the retailer until goods are delivered into the customer’s possession. A courier scan does not prove receipt.
For a premium brand, I expected a professional, neutral and solution focused approach. Instead, the process felt defensive and unnecessarily difficult for a straightforward non delivery claim.
I am still awaiting resolution.

Colour run, ruined everything else
Bought the relaxed cargo’s in khaki green
Was caught in the rain, the colour has run on first wear. I was wearing a white burberry t-shirt which has stained and a white pair of adidas superstars. The colour has run on to the shoes also giving them a green tint. I do have pictures. That’s a lot of damage on a first wear.
