Horrible app and website

Horrible app and website. Bought a year membership but the app and website to buy tickets is often not working right and buggy, so you can't even use your membership. It's just frustrating. Ugh.

Called Cineplex Guest Services March 15th - great response. Quick to apologize and offered to make it right. I have followed up three times and they have stopped answering my emails. I guess it was too expensive to treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Good morning,

Thank you for following up with me concerning disability related accommodations for employees and customers of Cineplex.

The issue I described to you involved an individual in a wheelchair using the hand washing station in the public bathroom. The individual I encountered was unable to reach the soap dispenser in the bathroom and I think we both felt annoyed, defeated, shocked, and frustrated at the situation we found ourselves in considering the year 2025 and the progress we are supposed to be making and holding corporations accountable for regarding human rights and accessible, inclusive businesses.

For privacy reasons, I would prefer to not disclose the location to the superiors at Cineplex. My hope is that they will send out a company wide survey to better understand how and if they can each be altered to live up to a standard that respects the human dignity of others entitled to everyone under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Again, thank you so much for listening to me with compassion and taking my complaints seriously from the moment I came forward. Your tact, genuine concern and quick action was commendable. If you have any other questions or updates please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email.

1) Got food poisoning from the Scotiabank Cinaplex in Toronto after eating one of their chicken burgers.

Carpets Filthy

Carpets Filthy ! Smell. Ceiling tiles disgusting, of course is dark so you can't see them. Air probably full of mold based on the stains. Movie two tickets $42 dollars. Two pop and popcorn and Skittles $54 dollars. Take the kids to Disneyland. Cheaper. What a way to rip people off. Never will I go to a movie Again. Sick . ( Cineplex Coquitlam BC...Schoolhouse st.)

Von Cineplexx in Horror/Gore Film gelockt

Der Film "The Substance" wird auf der Homepage als satirisches Drama bzw Science Fiction beschrieben. In Wahrheit handelt es sich um einen Horrorfilm mit intensiven Gewalt Szenen und hohem Gore Faktor. Der Großteil der BesucherInnen würde getäuscht und war nach dem Film entsetzt.

Sexual assault at cinaplex companies

Not even there help center can even go on chat they are the most laziest company I've ever had the experience of working for even , they suck at literally everything they do and the rec room was the worst to work for most of them have mangers that sexual assault you and cinaplex doesn't care I have a alot of proof from something happening at one of the cinaplex rec rooms and I'm debating on starting a huge case against cinaplex for sexual assault to young women.

No one's safe in a cinaplex environment be careful also the help chats are useless because they are to lazy and cheap to even pay anyone to help people online.

Am I Racist

Best comedy I've seen in eons! Matt Walsh was amazing in this very funny movie. He masterfully asked the right questions allowing the people in the film to expose the ridiculous truths about their professions and shone a bright light on common sense. Well done! Must see!

If I could have rated this site a zero star I would have. Not only have others mentioned that Silvercity has started to charge a fee for booking online, but their web site has more bugs than any other site I use. No worries, because since they are now charging a fee for online ticket purchases, I will refrain from purchasing any tickets online.

Going on the Cineplex website made me…

Going on the Cineplex website made me physically ill.

I just wanted to find the price of the movie ticket before buying it at the theatre, but the website obfuscates that information until you sign up and login, which is absolute BS.

The price of tickets should be so opaque that even google can preview it when I'm looking at showtimes, rather that going through the eldritch rites and rituals the website demands before bestowing the sacred PRICE.

Such a simple piece of information should be the easiest thing to obtain, but Cineplex has designed the website to scrape as much information from you to resell as possible, just to show you information available to people physically at the theatre. F Cineplex.

Used cineplex app to buy tickets for show the following evening.
Once tickets purchased on app a link is at bottom that says buy your snack early. I’m like ok sure. Go though and purchase popcorn and pop for movie. Everything seemed good.
A few minutes later I get a email that my order for popcorn and pop will be ready in 15 minutes..?
I’m like not tonight supposed to be tomorrow night with the movie tickets I bought.
I go to app to cancel or edit it for tomorrow. No luck.
Call cineplex and get out on hold for 15minutes. Then told it’s too late and all sales final. I state why would I buy snacks for tonight and not with movie? And I’ve been on hold for like 20 minutes. I didn’t want refund I just wanted snacks for my movie.
I feel ripped off for the snacks.
Was on like 25 bucks but it’s still wrong. Be careful buying you snack on the app… double and triple check the date and time.

Movie for a loonie actually cost $6.99

I receive email offers from Cineplex and when I clicked on a recent one it included offers of movies for an loonie. When I clicked on the link it brought me to the Cineplex website where it showed a list of movies for a loonie. I clicked the link for a movie I wanted to watch and it showed as $6.99 to rent. I took screen shots of both pages and contacted Cineplex. I was told that the offer for the movie had expired the day before and it only showed up on their website because I hadn’t cleared my cookie cache or my browser??? What? It showed me on their website that it was available for a loonie and then it wasn’t. Customer service I received was awful. When I told him I didn’t want to receive any more email offers for deals that may not exist if don’t clear my cookie cache enough (which I have never heard before anywhere) I was told I had to go back online and unsubscribe myself as customer service could not do that for me. What is going on here? Is this not crazy customer service?

Landmark Cinemas is way more better

Cineplex is just garbage theater their seat sucks. I never coming back to cineplex again. I like landmark so much their seat are way more better. That VIP cineplex just waste of money. We need more landmark cinemas in the city and we don't need cineplex anymore

Complete Rip-Off !

Complete Rip-Off !! For some reason, these clowns charged me twice for my online ticket purchase. I was charged for 4 tickets, but I only received 2 tickets, not 4. When I contacted them, they said they would refund one charge (2 tickets). Perfect, I thought.

Did they refund me? Hell no. Will they respond to me? Hell no. It has now cost me over $108 for 2 people for one movie (no food or drinks, just 2 movie tickets!).

NEVER again!! Next time I want to see a movie, I'll wait for it to stream online somewhere. Much cheaper and much less hassle.

Go to landmark

I give Cineplex 10 years before they file for bankruptcy. Between their prices being unattainable for an economy we're headed into to their illegal fees they charge customers for merely booking online.

Your movie quality has dropped dramatically. Looking at what's playing - you rarely ever know more then 2 movies because successful companies like Prime and Netflix have eaten your dinner.

Given your price gouging, sleazy business model, and declining customer experience - I CANT WAIT to buy your arcades at auction when you close the doors 😉
