Diabolical software that really really…
Diabolical software that really really annoys me several times a day. There are so so so many things that don't work properly.
Avoid avoid avoid. I really regret moving from Virgin.
It is actually now getting worse. I can't pause or fast forward at all on ITVX and I pay for ad free.
The only way to pause was to stop it completely and then you have to start from the beginning. This is a new error. Why should I pay for this rubbish. Avoid streaming at all costs.
SKY Stream is not fit for purpose!!Trading Standards issue?
Purchased service end Sep.25 & it worked fine on my 300MBs fibre WiFI for a few weeks. Then began failing to connect at start up and failing in the middle of programs. Replaced WIFI with Ethernet connection and again worked fine for a week then the same problems came back. Spent several hours with numerous tech support personnel going over every possible diagnostic and corrective procedure, including software upgrades, factory resets, port swaps etc.. As of today 20 April 2026 Sky refuses to change the puck or accept that it is faulty. From my own observation this particular puck cannot retain the network connection details despite having the setting "on". To get it working, each day it must be mains powered off and back on. This is not a fit for purpose service & wonder if it is breaching consumer laws.. time to find out !!!
More complicated than it needs to be…
More complicated than it needs to be like going back in time.been with sky before and what they are giving now is so bad . being forced to watch adverts all the time is so frustrating. Can't record everything they offer comes with advertising
Just awful
Just awful. Glitches all the time. I so wish I had cancelled it when I could.
Emailed Sky a week ago and no response.
Worst decision we ever made

Started service 5 days ago
In theory a great deal but TV service is atrocious. Keeps buffering and trying to get hold of Sky service impossible.
Do not purchase
Sky Stream - buyer beware
Theoretically Sky Stream should be a dream. Sadly in reality the service is extremely poor the interface with streaming channels is clunky and unreliable. Intermittent buffering with on screen message asking you to wait whilst the programme downloads will after 5 or so minutes either transport you to a black screen with the message ‘technical fault please try again later’ or to a blue screen with no message.
I have fibre to our house and broadband operating at over 900MB. Every evening we experienced a fault across several popular channels. The only saving grace is we can access Netflix, Prime, Disney and AppleTV through our TV.
The Sky Stream Puck will be returned to Sky.com.
Just the worst piece of domestic tech…
Just the worst piece of domestic tech EVER.
Do NOT allow Sky to sell you this garbage.
They fail all the time. Sky will try to blame the connectivity. Its BS.
Atrocious quality equipment
Atrocious quality equipment. The Sky Puck is a cheap and nasty box that overheats, locks up frequently and simply stops working altogether every few months. I was with Sky since they were BSKyB and have had all their various iterations. SkyQ was the best but they are actively moving to IPTV. Even the Apps on the puck like Netflix don't work properly. Netflix on my Apple TV is stable and never buffers, on the puck it's unwatchable. I binned Sky completely after my Sky Stream experience. They keep pestering me with cheap deals to get me back. I wouldn't take Sky Stream even if it was free. Until they scrap the Puck and introduce some decent equipment I'll live without Sky.
Absolutely horrendous service
Absolutely horrendous service, it hardly works!
Rubbish
Rubbish. Stalls all the time. PC is slow, cover in the house is poor. Will never ever go back to Sky once this contract is finished. Virgin Media and internet i had previously was far far superior i’m sorry i left them, but will be going back to them. Do not go with Sky!! Warned
Sky go puck absoloute rubbish and very hard to cancel
Sky go puck absoloute rubbish. Freezing all the time can not watch anything for more than 2 minutes without it stopping. I was on a rolling contract. Very difficult to cancel and when I eventually did they decided I hadto give 31 days notice and want to charge me for another month even when it is billed upfront? not sure how that works the woman stutterd when i asked the question and she didnt know what to say with regards to why i was going to be charged again. Then as they linked my netflix to sky they said I haveto cancel it seperate, and netflix said sky haveto do it. So hadto just block the payment with my bank as it is almost impossible to cancel. Bought a manhattan freely box. Much better no contract or freezing and offers way more. £70 online no ariel needed to watch live tv.
Don't don't dont
Don't, just don't, you will regret it. Worth repeating
Don't, Don't, Dont
When we first started trying to use the system I spent nearly as much time talking to tech support as we did watching. Eventually they replaced one of the pucks. We are now at the point where I can troubleshoot most of the issues, but never a week goes bye without a problem. I'm currently looking at a screen with a large banner saying " I cant reach the Internet at the moment" even though it's showing the picture perfectly. So far, I cant get rid of it, so it will be another call to tech support who will tell me to disconnect the router or pull the power supply.
It's just not worth the money, which is not inconsiderate. The extra Sky channels are not worth watching; the ones I would watch cost extra. Cost extra, that's the catchphrase of Sky
The pucks are manufactured by Amstrad, remember them, and incredibly unreliable. Like I said earlier, there is always something going wrong, and Sky are so aware of the issues that they tie you into a two year contract.
We went into this looking for a new experience, well, we certainly found one, but not one that I would recommend.
So, unless you like talking to tech support in some foreign country, I forget which, sending complaint emails that are studiosly (not sure of the spelling) ignored, and disconnecting your router, unplugging the puck or disconnecting power supply, then just don't.
You have been warned, you experience will almost certainty be similar to ours, and most other reviewers.
Don’t do it!
What has happened to Sky. Bought Sky puck after having shy satellite. The worst move I ever made, have had it replaced three times and the remote is awful.. I have to change batteries almost monthly!!
I also changed to Sky WiFi .. from BT, although cheaper .. Sky WiFi is not reliable and slower.
What has happened to you SKY?
Gambling adverts galore
Horrible interface and the shows are littered with gambling adverts.
Worst thing I ever did
Worst thing I ever did cancelling EE TV and changing to Sky Stream. Has to be rebooted roughly every 90 minutes or so due to it completely freezing or just getting a black screen. If you’re thinking of changing to this do yourself a favour and don’t.
We moved from Sky Q to Stream. Mistake!
We moved from Sky Q to Stream. What a mistake! When linking a series it is impossible to see the latest episode as the link brings up every episode and series on line. I linked a series on Channel 4 which was also on Sky Sports. Now, when I look at the available episodes, the first offering is Sky Sports which I do not have. Come on Sky, sort this cludgy system out.
Freezed programmes several times a day
Freezed programmes several times a day. I spend a LOT of money for this non service. 1 more call tomorrow and if no resolution I will quit and trysomeone else.
I’ve been on the fence with going for…
I’ve been on the fence with going for sky steam and very weary with the absence of bad reviews , I had sky Q which was flawless , but since I moved to a new house and don’t want a dish or cables everywhere, I took the plunge and I’m overly happy with it 6 weeks in , it’s not missed a beat and picture is fantastic, I’m on 300mb internet and I’m sure a lot of negative reviews on here is because they have slow speeds .
Overpriced garbage
Do not commit to anything! Pay for the rolling month so you have the choice of cancelling as soon as you realise that its over priced, constant price increases and no ability to reduce or cancel.
Look at all sky reviews and its the same story for everyone. Doesn't live up to standar.
We only got sky because we wanted Sky Sports. £45 a month and half the game aren't televised!
Don't get the sky puc
I got sky puc yesterday,I have cancel the contract,I have gone back to virgin, the flex unit, is so much better, and it does not crash
