Unfortunately, what needed to be done with my electrical problem wasn't covered and the claim was denied. Fortunately, the contractor that came out to my house was able to fix it, but I had to pay out... See more

I did some research
I did some research, and Choice is rated #1 in home warranties. The customer service rep was professional, knowledgeable, and very informative. He offered different options and programs.

Easy to send a claim but takes too long to complete. Claim for air conditioning made on 8/17 and not completed yet. We are still without air conditioning.

Through customer service there is no possibility to disconnect the contract. I have tried for two days on hold and waiting for a call back from a representative. They keep you on hold all day and no call back. Good luck canceling after selling your home.

BEWARE
BEWARE: This company is TRASH!!!! I filed a claim for a leaking Water Heater. The sent a plumber out and he recommended they replace it. The denied the claim because the said the plumber told them that it was a "pre-existing condition." I called the plumbing company and they said the NEVER told Choice that it was a pre-existing condition. They said they told them that they recommeded a replacement. I spoke to a really rude employees in their Customer Service Department (Choice) and she tried to blame everyone else and they never took responsibility. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Our $4,000 Jenn aire
Our $4,000 Jenn aire, down draft induction range burnt out. It could not be repaired by CHW. They recommended that it should be replaced. CHW offered us a $500 GIFT
CARD At Lowes. We made it plain that that was not acceptable, but they wouldn't budge. Same with garbage disposal and ceiling fan. The cheapest one available. You can't change anything because they have the final say. Can't believe they are #1. Never again!!!
If you want a home warranty that…
If you want a home warranty that nickel-and-dimes you to death, pick Choice Warranty. I locked in a 7-year contract that I thought was a good deal, but it turned out to be a nightmare. I recently requested an electric water heater replacement, paid my $100 service fee, and then they sent a Handyman, but you need a licensed plumber to install the water heater. They also said I had to pay another $300 for some modification. It was just replacing the same water heater.
Tim was knowledgable of the products
company is listed first on review sites
This company is listed first on review sights. I can’t imagine in whose universe this company’s service or customer service is top rated. Currently on hold to cancel my policy. This is my third call to cancel. The first two times they made identical offers that were acceptable to me (this was after 8 days of battling their red tap). Twice they told me I would receive a check through the mail for $250 to resolve my claim with no conditions. Both times I received email confirmations after both promises, however, the first email said the check wasn’t coming to me it was going to the vendor and the second call confirmation said I had to up load completion receipts after the repair was completed by the vendor of my choice. So lie to me once shame on you lie to me twice shame on me. Just received a confirmation that yes indeed their representatives should not have promised what they promised, and my policy has been canceled. Seriously, who needs the stress? As a PS to this the vendor also lied to me (should’ve been my first clue) when I asked for my fee to be refunded, they claimed that the home warranty company took that money from them, but of course that was denied by choice warranty, cause I’m sure they did not take the vendor’s money.

I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jason (no last name) and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He also pronounced my last name correctly, which pleased me greatly. All in all, it was a great experience and look forward to doing business with Choice Home Warranty in the future.
