Another great rental experience
We rented via Celtic Legend for our Scotland holiday this September, having previously used them in May 2023. As always, they were very professional to deal with. Their provider Arnold Clark is a delightful, the car was brand new, staff very friendly and efficient and pickup and return without delay. My go-to choice for Scpttish rentals.

The smoothest car hire you’ll find!
We had the best experience with our car hire through Celtic Legend in Scotland. Pick-up and drop-off processes were so smooth & easy. It was nice to add a second driver without having to pay extra. We ended up only using one driver but it was nice to know that the second driver was an option without paying more. We also opted for the extra insurance coverage. Being in a different country, I didn’t want any ugly surprises with our car hire. Highly recommend using Celtic Legend!

Celtic Legends…
We hired a car through Celtic Legends for our 6 week driving tour of England, Wales & Scotland. We picked the car up & dropped it off at Arnolds Car Hire near Heathrow. Would highly recommend Celtics & Arnolds, great customer service. We had a no fault accident during our trip with someone running into us and the car was replaced and excess refunded as soon as the offenders insurance finalised the claim.

No hidden cost car rental
Eleven months before requiring a rental car I made contact with Celtic Legend and had an instant positive response. There are positives with renting from Celtic Legend, competitive pricing, unlimited mileage, including extra driver, pickup in Edinburgh and drop off at Heathrow. The price quoted was honoured at pickup even though it had risen over the year. The pickup and drop off at Arnold Clark was smooth and efficient, the staff polite and professional. The rental car was virtually new, clean and we were given a personal run down on all the workings. I highly recommend Celtic Legend and would definitely use their services again.

The multitude of 5 star reviews from car rental broker Celtic Legend with Arnold Clark Rentals are all accurate. Superb prompt Celtic Legend staff email communications throughout 5 months in advance. No surprises, no disappointments. Zero excess deductible means zero, and is worth it. 952 miles driven in 7 days from EDI to Islay throughout Skye back to a quick and easy car return at EDI/Arnold Clark. Your car rental expectations here will be FAR exceeded positively from any car rental you've done before with EuropeCar, Enterprise or gaack, Hertz.
Tips: Avoid the frustration with lugging your luggage, and just take a taxi here from Edinburgh, and get an UBER when dropping off if going back to the city -the minimal extra cost vs. the bus or tram is money well-spent. Do use Apple Maps with offline maps pre-downloaded before you start off and get used to using them before you arrive. A must for USA drivers. Way quicker and more efficient than offline GoogleMaps or any factory car navigation. Brush up on the UK road signs, learn to use those dual roundabouts properly, pull over in passing places to let the locals get by because they have stuff to do, follow those speed limits, and trade off designated drivers for dinners out or Islay whisky tastings. You're often passing oncoming vehicles 6-12" apart (sometimes even less), so 100% sober driver concentration is a must for self-preservation.
The Nissan Juke is not a car hire I would want to ever own, but for a Scotland car rental it's the perfect size with it's covered boot to hide your luggage and narrow enough for single track roads and passing places. I did appreciate the satellite enabled immediate speed limit sign warnings built in with this car. Superb 45mpg fuel efficiency, too.

Celtic Legend were fantastic in a crisis.
Celtic Legend are very easy to deal with. Communication was excellent (even booking form Australia). We picked our car up from Arthur Clarke depot and the staff there were also great. The BEST thing was that we had TWO flat tyres that needed to be dealt with in the Highlands(not an uncommon thing). We were able to contact the company and a special truck was sent out to fix our tyres on the spot. Other people in the same situation with a different company had to be towed away. The wait times were also more than reasonable. NO upfront payments ( we were fully insured) and minimal hassles. Highly recommend.

Everything went very smoothly
Everything went very smoothly. We arrived a bit early and were prepared to wait until we had scheduled our rent but they immediately took us in and arranged everything. We got a car group upgrade so that was really nice. The car was great and we loved our time in the Highlands. The return was as smooth as the pick up, very fast and with no fuss. We will definetly be renting here again when we visit Scotland and would reccomend anyone to do the same!

Absolutely top notch service!
We needed a trusty car to travel from Aberdeen airport to Skye and back and we needed to be quite specific about type, and drop off time and location. We were going to some quite remote places and wanted to have 100% confidence in the company we used. Thanks to reviews we found Celtic Legend and there was no looking back! Nothing was too much trouble for them. Communication was speedy
and they answered any queries quickly. I particularly liked that there was no cap on mileage and we could have an extra driver at no cost. Some other providers seem to want to charge more at every opportunity but Celtic Legend seemed to focus much more on customer care and satisfaction. Our trusty car looked really well maintained and did 1,300 miles effortlessly, and I can’t thank Celtic Legend enough. We will definitely use them again!

They did a fine job explaining the differences with what they can do vs what other rental companies cannot do since Celtic Legend is a full service company. Their concern for safety also made my decision easier to select. They suggested a driving course through Tripiamo which was totally worth the fee that Tripiamo charges and prepared me for the driving experience. Do yourself a favor, select Celtic Legend and you will have no surprises at the rental counter that other travelers complain about on all social media sites regarding many car rental companies.
