Overall, we are happy with our new Castle Green home, but the process of getting here was far from straightforward.
Our original move-in date was expected to be the end of May, then it was pushed back to June, and we eventually moved in during July because the property wasn't ready. While delays can happen, it was frustrating to have the date changed multiple times.
I do want to mention that Laura was always lovely, helpful, and kept us updated throughout the process, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the move-in day itself wasn't the experience we had been looking forward to. We were told what time to arrive, but when we got there there was still a large group of cleaners inside the house. We ended up waiting outside for around 30 minutes in 32-degree heat. The cleaners also seemed quite disorganised, so it certainly wasn't the exciting "turn the key and move in" moment we had imagined.
There have also been a few issues since moving in. We were told the grass would be laid before we moved in, but it still hasn't been done. I understand the hot weather may have delayed this, but having what is essentially a mud patch instead of a garden has been difficult, especially as we have a dog.
We were also advised that the oven would be replaced because it had a dent in it. This hadn't been done before move-in and had to be changed the following day. There are a few other finishing touches around the property that aren't quite up to the standard we expected, although I appreciate that some snagging issues are common with new-build homes.
Finally, we were told that the front of the house and driveway would be pressure washed last week as they are incredibly dusty, but we've not heard anything further about this.
Despite the issues, we are happy with the house itself and can see its potential. However, the overall move-in process and communication around outstanding jobs could have been much better.

From the very beginning, Hillary and Kristen have been absolutely amazing. What started as a dream of owning our forever Castle green home is now becoming a reality, and we couldn't be more grateful for all their support.
They have kept in regular contact throughout the entire process, explaining every step clearly and making sure we always knew what was happening. No question has ever been considered silly, they've always been at the end of the phone, happy to answer anything and put our minds at ease.
Their professionalism, patience, and genuine care have made what could have been a stressful experience feel so much more manageable. We can't thank them enough for everything they've done so far and look forward to continuing the journey with them as we complete the purchase of our forever home.

We recently completed on our new home and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.
A huge thank you to Carole for making the handover process so smooth and welcoming on completion day. Thank you also to Steve, the Site Manager, who was always helpful, approachable, and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the process.
A very special mention goes to Laura, who has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. Her support, communication, and care made such a difference. We were especially touched that she checked on us the following day to make sure everything was going well.
We also received a beautiful gift, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our move even more special.

From walking into the site office at Castle Green Orchard Place, we knew we would be buying a home. After leaving our home after 17 years to down size Bianca and Donna so helpful and professional from start to finish. Nothing too much trouble. We moved in yesterday and the handover was so easy no stress. Reassured about everything and told any issues to call immediately. Pete the site manager is so nice and came to see us this morning and was super helpful in relation to our rubbish whilst we await the bins.
I can honestly say the quality of the appliances, bathrooms everything is high end.
I would recommend to anyone upsizing or starting off or downsizing these are the guys. Thank you again 🥰

We recently purchased a new‑build home with Castle Green, moving from a much smaller flat and needing a great deal of guidance throughout the process. From the very beginning, the team showed genuine willingness to understand our situation, support us, and make sure we had the clarity we needed at every stage.

Despite the time it took to sell our flat, Castle Green never made us feel like we were holding up the process. Their organisation, communication, and professionalism were consistent throughout, and the time they dedicated to us never went unnoticed.

We reserved our new home with Castle Green Homes in January, and although the process took around seven months due to delays further down the chain, the whole team made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.

Rhianna, Pam, Ellis and site team were incredibly supportive throughout. They kept us updated, reassured us when things were delayed, and were always understanding that the hold-ups were completely out of our control as we were relocating.

On completion day, we didn’t complete until later in the evening, but Rhianna went above and beyond by giving up her own time to wait until 8pm so we could collect our keys for our home. That level of dedication meant so much to us, and we’re incredibly grateful.

They also recommended an excellent solicitor PLS, which made the legal side of our purchase much smoother.

We can’t thank the team enough for all of their support, professionalism and kindness throughout the purchase of our second home. We would highly recommend Castle Green Homes to anyone looking for a development and team that genuinely cares about their customers.

Also our home was absolutely stunning and just how we imagined.

Your houses are your asset, but your best asset is Pam, ensuring the house and the people fit, is a skill, other house builders take note

Really friendly staff, especially Heather at Rydal View, who took the time to talk us through everything and explain the whole process. She wasn't pushy with the sales pitch either, which we really appreciated. We'd visited the site several times before deciding to reserve our plot, and we always felt welcome and never under any pressure. Heather made the whole experience relaxed, informative, and enjoyable.

Kelly from Castle Green Homes in Rossett was so friendly , helping me choose the plot, new kitchen, worktops, wardrobes and tiles for the bathrooms.

Gethyn has been fantastic since we moved into our new home at the Swn Y Mor Development. He’s friendly, attentive and will go out of his way to help. We had a few snags initially which Gethyn remedied promptly.

We recently moved into our new Castle Green home at Trevalyn Place and couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

From our very first visit, Kelly was great. She took the time to help us find the right home and patiently talked us through all the different fixtures and fittings. When our previous house sale unfortunately fell through after we had reserved, Kelly and the team were understanding and never made us feel under any pressure while we found new buyers. That support was much appreciated during what could have been a very stressful time.

Since moving in, Andy, the Site Manager, has been brilliant too. As with any new build, there were a few small cosmetic snags, but every single one has been sorted quickly and professionally, with no pushback. It's been really reassuring to know that any issues have been taken seriously and resolved without fuss.
