I spent over an hour trying to enter the holiday booking reference into the advanced passenger information form rather than the ferry booking number. Information request was not clear.

Quick and simple

Absolutely terrible experience prior to boarding first time traveller and booked a Couchette Plus accomodation expecting a cabin with a door I can lock instead I now find out that it's a communial area with NO privacy how can one get any sleep when you have no idea who else is around and with so much crime these days could be stabbed and robbed absolute disgrace

The booking is relatively easy although it would help if you could store the details of registered users, plus having to pay 50% up front is not good

Easy to book certainly after the experience I had 2 weeks ago when I was told there were no bookings for vans as they were going to freight.

I liked that your website allowed me the explore dates and routes before making a final decision.

Late arrival time makes onward journey, which is in the north of England, difficult.

Best route for us and that there are pet friendly cabins.

I phoned the Spanish office, as I was in the country, and they were charming and very helpful. Very professional.

Easy service

Would have been 4 to 5 stars. Crossing was a good ship, and the cabins were clean, but there was too long a wait to access the cabins from boarding not what you want when you have a 15-hour road trip ahead of you. I just wanted to get straight into the cabin and have a good sleep before my road trip.

Perfect in every way

Worst travel experience ever. I travelled with Brittany ferries between Poole and Guernsey in August 2026. The journey out was incredibly bumpy and my children and I felt seasick the whole time (I later heard staff saying that certain crossings should've been cancelled for safety reasons). On the way home they cancelled my ferry with less than 14h notice, sending a text and email just telling us not to travel to the port but without any further information. I was left to organise my return journey and accommodation for myself and my two small children (aged 4 and 7) by myself over a Bank Holiday weekend, when accommodation was in short supply, and am still waiting for my additional food and accommodation expenses to be paid back. The morning my ferry was due to leave I tried calling Brittany ferries for more information and for the first 20 minutes the lines were open all calls were immediately dropped, and after that my call was automatically hung up after being on hold for an hour. I ended up going to the ferry office where staff had no more information and were unable to help.
When we did finally get on a ferry the next day, the boarding process was completely disorganised with no queuing or information given out by staff, and the ferry ended up leaving an hour late. I'll never travel with Brittany ferries again.
