Poor mail order customer service.
Having ordered three items from both the British Ironworks centre and Black Country Ironworks, I received one of them. I was informed by e-mail that one item had failed a quality check, and after chasing them twice for an answer as to when I could expect a replacement was told four weeks, so I cancelled it. The other was lost in transit by the carrier (I only found this out because I had to chase them - the item having being at the hub for a week without moving). I agreed to let the courier return it to them and resend it me out. After a further ten days, and two chaser e-mails with no response I have now cancelled altogether, my considerable patience having expired. Communication (in my experience) is awful, and whilst when they do engage they're polite and Professional, I'm just left with a general impression of complete disinterest.
Easy booking system
Easy booking system, provided lots of information for school groups and what they had to offer. Chloe informed us of their recycling initiative and encouraging pupils to bring materials with them for their visit. Website is very easy to navigate.
Fantastic collection of sculptures…
Fantastic collection of sculptures which are incredibly made for example the bee with the confiscated gun parts was stunning.
Reasonably priced food outside and some gifts were bought.
I love the conservation messages with some of the exhibits. Maybe keep out of politics though…
Would not visit again because of the political statements
Would not visit again because of the political statements throughout the centre particularly the sign that states that no Israeli products are sold on the premises. Have whatever opinions you want to have but make it clear on your website that this is the case. A Jewish family booking online would be unaware of this and when visiting would feel very uncomfortable, and is that really what we want in our country. Also the whole place feels very chaotic and the cafe is unable to cope at peak times.
Ordered a sculpture 19 weeks ago got nothing
Ordered a sculpture 19 weeks ago for delivery within 16 weeks, I've messaged 3 times and have been told 3 times they will get it posted out the next day or asap I'm still waiting. I have lost all confidence in this ever getting delivered the company has £50 of my money that I'll never see anything for this what a shame.
Rip off
Brought a picnic to try and have a full day out without having to spend a fortune as it's the summer holidays and obviously everything is expensive. Got to the door to be told that you cannot bring picnics in, as they have a cafe. We were then told it's clearly stated on the website (it's not at all). An absolute rip off, as you have to pay for parking on top of the entry tickets, and you're expecting us to only use the cafe too? Disgraceful. My young daughter then had a meltdown as she had chosen her lunch and packed it and could not accept that we were unable to eat it. So currently we are sat in our car eating the food we've brought to stop it from spoiling. I am absolutely furious with the British Ironworks Centre, and this has completely overshadowed our day out. We won't be returning again, and at the moment I am considering asking for a full refund. You are completely taking advantage of families by insisting that you must eat here, on top of the entry fee, and the parking fee. You purport to be "the best value family day out". I am unsure how you have been awarded this, and can only assume you've given it to yourselves, as in my experience it is certainly not the case.
Simply stunning
Simply stunning. The sculptures are incredible.
Visitors and residents of Shropshire should definitely visit.
Great day out
Unbelievable amount of Pictures
This was a different type of experience nothing like I imagined. Lots to see and lots of photographs taken. The displays seemed to get everyone talking well worth a visit.
The park was clean and tidy the Staff were smart and pleasant.
We did not have the best weather lots of showers and we still had a Great Day.
Amazing sculptures, but....
As everyone that visits agrees, the sculptures are amazing. However, there is very poor signage and we weren't sure where to go once we got out of the car on the overspill carpark. Once inside, again very poor signage. We had lunch in the cafe and more disappoinment. We ordered food and drinks for four of us. The food arrived, but no drinks. We asked where the drinks were, to be told 'they are on the way but we are back to back' (whatever that means). Food was poor. I had a fish finger sandwich which was woefully lacking in fish, cold and tasteless and the top slice of bread had dried out on top... Definitely not worth the 13.95. my wife's halloumi wrap was equally poor. Restaurant prices for less than Gregg's quality. Total cost for 4 of us was almost 64 quid. Very glad we decided not to order the afternoon tea, which would have cost us £108. We only paid 125 at Harrods a few years ago and that included prosecco. £2.20 for a can of tango and 2.50 for a small bottle of water. Toilet facilities are totally inadequate for the number of visitors, with the queue for the ladies 6 toilets stretching from the toilet building all the way back to the cafe and a poor cleaning lady having to hold up the queue further to do her job as each cubicle became free. The site advertises as the best place to visit in Shropshire. I'm not sure what else is available, but if you want a relatively inexpensive day out, as advertised, then you'll be a little shocked. Of course, all routes take you through the large shop, although there is some very nice stuff to buy and we did succumb to a nice cast iron teapot.
An excellent variety of stalls in lovely surroundings.
After difficulty booking I must say the Summer Festival yesterday was a great success. Started off with a lovely cooked breakfast in the cafe and then spent all day (right up to closing time) browsing the good variety of stalls in such glorious weather. Something for everyone, well done.

Fantastic customer service
I ordered some products from this company and shortly after it became necessary to speed up the delivery process from standard. I rang up and spoke to Julie who was incredibly helpful and expedited delivery for me, which duly arrived the next day. Great products and fantastic customer service from Julie. Thanks again.
