Brewers Fayre Reviews 

We visited Brewers Fayre - The King William at Oldcotes for Sunday Carvery. We would highly recommend the experience. Beef and Gammon delicious and plentiful. Yorkies better than homemade.Great choice of veg - roast and mashed potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cabbage, swede mash and peas. Shout out to Adam and Sharon nothing too much trouble and also the young lady who helped my husband(sorry I missed your name).

I’m a sight severely impaired person, this morning I went in for breakfast.your lovely lady called Stacey could not do enough for me. She brought me my breakfast, cup of tea and made me feel really welcome.

Had Sunday carvery found parts of a label in my potatoes Brussels was hard carrot was overcooked parsnips was mushy. My wife had to wait for smashed potatoes to come out and put some on her plate found that they had been stuck to the bottom off the pan . I use this one a lot when in Grantham, My grandson had a burger with chips and sweetcorn and the sweetcorn was cut in strips and not anything that it shows on menu photo bread roll was dry and hard like a cricket ball showed the waitress and she made nothing of it and took the plates away without a sorry and now explanation

Was at minehead branch,on Sunday 30th of November @5.30 for carvery,beef was tough and cold just like Yorkshire pudding and potatoes was cold,not acceptable, better off going to Witherspoon's

Visited middle of October, 1st incident main meal arrived and there was a hair sat on the side of the plate certainly not mine because it was about an inch long, i joked to them when i complained about it, they redid my meal which was lovely. Then we had dessert and i was finished and there was again a hair in tje sauce of the dessert, i asked to speak to the manager, he tried to say in his attitude and voice in a sarcastic way that they have never had hair in 2 meals on the same day, I didn’t like the managers attitude and making out i was lying. I wish i had taken photos as evidence on the main meal. It was in full view of the side of the plate, on looking around there were 2 staff playing with their hair. Which is very off putting. We wont be going there again. Can’t remember the exact date.

Ordered two 3 course kids meals and Cottams Field Brewers Fayre,Lancaster, wouldnt give kids desserts off the 3 course festive menu i payed for, kids left the place crying, manager was aggresive and assistant manager, merry xmas not

Lost future buisness for what two desserts? I think they like it dead maybe ?

Today (25/11/2025) I was expelled from Brewers Fayre in Llanfoist (Abergavenny).
We came as group of four for breakfast of my girlfriend’s son. Self-serving coffee machine was out of order, thus I asked waiter, if they has another one.
He sarcastically answered “ yes we keep another one at back”. He added that “ there are instant sachets “. I asked if they had a different coffee machine behind bar (as lot of similar business have). And I said for me instant coffee isn’t coffee.
The waiter said if I want to complain I can go somewhere else.
I said I want to stay and I made a tea. The waiter said he will not serve me and I have to go, because I’m abusive
I want to add, I’ve working in retail in different post for over 15 years, therefore I know what is rude and abusive and I always treat any “customer service” as I want to be treated.

Awful food and service. Waited 90minutes for our food. Then they delivered my kids burger without the actual burger inside and just a tomato. Then brought the burger 20 mins later burnt and no apology or interaction from very rude staff when they put it on table. We will NEVER return EVER.

Will never eat there again. My daughter & I both ordered the rump steak mine being well done, hers was rare. My daughter was wretching trying to eat hers as it tasted funny and wouldnt breakdown. On closer inspection she cut into it to discover what looked like none other than "worms"! We were both wretching as mine would not cut either. We reported this and were given a full refund straight away with no questions asked which tells me our suspicions were obviously true! We had ordered desert but were unable to take it as we felt very ill.
It has completely put us off eating meat ever again...

We were served very cold food after waiting 40 minutes for it and when we asked for our money back they wanted us to wait another 30 minutes to speak to somebody. The staff was very rude and tried to intimidate us. This didn’t work eventually we got to speak to the manager who refunded our money. This is at the Grantham Brewers farm.

X1 nachos, disgusting not even fresh food.

The dishes were served with cracks /chips in the dish.

The two Sunday dinners , the food was awful , cheap , nasty and the gravy was like water.

There was hairs all over the counter (bar) where we got served our Sunday meal’s not something one wants to see when about to eat said food…

Highly disappointed in the establishment’s condition!

Terrible experience would never come back!

The manager is a complete arrogant horrible man , and his attitude and customer service is terrible.
He’s Scottish and was slagging off the English In an English pub in Exeter, he was disrespectful to kids calling them alsorts ( not mine other family) the baby was only crying.
He over charged , he was abusive and the manager made clear he hates the English after I heard him slagging the English off to a colleague then I confronted him and he denied it I heard every word.

Stay well away and why as English should we be treated like that of a horrible nasty bitter man in our own country after paying over £100 for 2 adults and a kid for a meal that had hairs in and was overcooked.
I will be reporting this to health and safety and the council so expect a visit

I had a great experience yesterday evening at the Portishead restaurant, the food was great and the service was exceptional

A lady called Sarah served me and she was so lovely and helpful with great customer skills

Highly recommend

Steak was cooked as requested but bland, haddock was nice. Chips were warmish, peas were cold and 'firm'. Will go there again though.

Rhubarb Triangle, Wakefield. The last few times I have been here, not only has the food has been substandard, but I have also had stomach problems and diarrhea. I put it down to coincidence until I realized. It also took an age to arrive. I'm wondering what hygiene practices are like in the kitchen, as the food did not seem that warm. The flatbread was very dry and seemed stale. Disappointed !

The staff work very hard and are lovely but there is not enough of them. Since the GM left it has just become awful. 25 minutes wait for a drink to order because one person working the bar. People vaping and even seeming to be smoking in the restaurant area. Kids running riot. The bar person working so hard but one person can't do everything . Dreadful

Peterborough. Rude little man behind the bar, was very unhappy with serving us, had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Anyway got our dinner, looked suspiciously like it'd been microwaved within an in of its life. Pie saggy like the neighbors britches, and the lasagne..well that must have been made up of everything out of a bottle, I doubt anything fresh touch it. The salad was worse, slime like, dead, brown and squashed tomatoes. I would rather recommend a day old badger than this place.

Bankhead Gate, Glenrothes. Ordered the curry and was left starving. 6 prices of chicken in a thin sauce and small portion of rice. Tasted good but did not constitute a meal priced at £12.
Service was good, staff proffessional and restaurant clean and well maintained

Jane was lovely knows how to pour a good pint of Guinness very friendly
