Changing hearing aids

I decided to change my new hearing aids from battery to rechargeable.
Unfortunately, the supplier insisted that my aids were returned to them by post before they would send the new ones. Why? Don't they trust Boots to return them?
No fault of Boots or their staff, apparently this is the procedure of the supplier.
The Boots audiologist sent my aids off straightaway and the new aids arrived 3 days later but it meant 3 days of using my old NHS aids.
If the supplier had sent the new aids before the old aids were returned then the transfer could have been seamless saving both my time and the audiologists time.

Disappointed

The first two appointments were very good resulting in the purchase of hearing aids for each ear. However when it came to the final collection and fitting, due to a fractured leg I was unable to attend the appointment. It was suggested that my wife attend in my place and although how to fit the hearing aids was explained this was no substitute for being shown in person. The result is I find fitting difficult and more important the aids do not seem to stay in! I feel for the amount of money involved a home visit could have been arranged. Alas, I think these will be returned.

Very helpful representative.

Very helpful representative took time to explain where the problems were and possible causes. Very helpful in allowing the use of demonstration hearing aids for 20 minutes to use in different environments resulting in the decision to go forward with the recommended aids.
