Boots opticians Tiverton were excellent from beginning to end. A thorough eye test I trust. Lovely help in choosing the correct specs and a great fitting at pick up. I would definitely recommend
Boots optician provided me with an urgent appointment as I was experiencing eye problems. The optician gave me a thorough examination and then wrote a referral to my GP as the optician could not identify the reason for my symptoms. The whole experience was very professional.
Easy to book an appointment. The shop is very clean and modern with air conditioning and comfortable seats plenty of space and lots of frames to choose from. The machines are very modern and easy to use with the staff support. The photographs of the eye and scans are very good and add to the diagnostic experience. Staff are very knowledgeable, professional and approachable.
Excellent staff from reception to testing to post test administration: approachable, friendly, communative, professional.
I purchased glasses to which right side arm came away while i was actually 30 miles away from home. I had to quickly find a shop to buy some glue to repair them to enable me to drive home. Same thing happened again to which whole from fell to the floor causing damage to lenses. I returned them to Bedford Harper Centre Store to be told by the store Manager there was not a manufacturing fault present and therefore i would have to pay for a replacement. What an absolute disgrace. I will recommend to everyone i know to never use Bedford Boots opticians in the future.

I left a review on here on 27th July regarding and issue that I have, ( AND STILL HAVE) regarding Boots opticians in Redcar. The issue and reply can be seen just a little bit further down here where they asked for Name, DOB,Tel, and store, informing me they would look into this and contact me. Guess what ??

Since then there has been another issue with this outlet, but obviously wait to here what these lot say about the initial complaint, or I might confuse them.!!!
Popped in today to Boots in the High Street, Exeter as one of the nose pads had broken off my glasses. Very nice lady (sorry, i didn't get your name), took them from me and advised it'll be approx 15mins. I went in to another shop then went back. My repaired glasses were there waiting for me. They had been repaied, checked over and cleaned and as i had purchased them from Boots, there was no charge.
Excellent customer service, above what i expected.
Keep it up, you doing a great job.

I decided to try Boots Opticians instead of my usual optician because I felt my previous opticians had become increasingly sales-driven. I understand they're a business, but I believe patient-centred care should always come first.
The eye examination itself was very good. The optician explained everything clearly and professionally, and I was happy with the care I received during the appointment.
However, there were a few things that have put me off returning.
**1. Eye drop recommendations**
I was recommended Hycosan eye drops, but I wasn't asked whether I was allergic to the main ingredient, sodium hyaluronate (which I am) and no alternative brands were suggested. At £11.99, Hycosan may not be affordable for everyone. Many patients end up asking their GP to prescribe them, only to find that this brand isn't available on prescription. It would have been more helpful to offer a range of options at different price points or simply suggest looking at a local pharmacy or supermarket for more affordable alternatives, such as hypromellose eye drops, which can cost around £1.99. I declined to buy these drops in the end.
**2. Sales experience**
Although the member of staff helping me choose glasses was friendly and helpful, the overall experience felt very sales-driven. I was overwhelmed by the number of choices and felt quite vulnerable trying on frames because I couldn't see properly without my glasses. I would recommend taking a friend or family member with you for a second opinion, as it can help make the process feel less pressured.
The final price for two pairs of glasses (including sunglasses) came as a real shock. The additional charges were confusing and weren't explained clearly. I felt as though I was being talked at the rather than having a discussion, and I ended up feeling like a deer in the headlights. I also wasn't asked whether I had a Boots Advantage Card or offered alternative payment options, such as Klarna.
Looking back, I wish I'd taken some time to think about the purchase before committing. Instead, I went home feeling embarrassed by how much I'd spent on my glasses and regretting going to Boots. I will rethink where I go next time.
Overall, the clinical care was good, but the retail side of the experience left me feeling pressured and disappointed. A more patient-focused approach, clearer explanations of costs, and less emphasis on selling would have made for a much better experience.

I was very happy with the customer service I received. An assistant, Kai, came directly to me when he saw I was looking for a new pair of glasses, he understood my need of finding a pair that would fit my face shape and he went through all the glasses that were in smaller shape. Very happy with my purchase, will be coming back soon for another pair!

Fantastic experience at Boots opticians after using online suppliers for some time. Both Rich who helped me pick frames and explained how the process worked to Loic who made sure my glasses were perfect. Purchased new glasses. Due to a medical issue I had to change them. Nothing was too much trouble for the team.

Pleasant welcome and although busy I was taken on time for my appointment.
I was also happy to be able to book with the same optician I've had for several years who knows my eyes.
Good to see that Boots keeps updating equipment to give the best checks on your eyes.

I wish I could leave a ‘less than zero’ rating because that’s all you deserve. I wrote to you asking for advice on blue light filter glasses as I have WMD. You didn’t even have the courtesy to reply. Disgraceful, rude and extremely unprofessional. Avoid these cowboys if you can.

I received prompt attention immediately I walked in.
My issue ( a snapped screw ) was immediately recognised and worked on.
It proved to be a difficult task and took 2 people to entually fix my glasses and insert one of my lenses back into place. They showed the utmost patience and diligence.

Unhappy with service from Boots opticians in Ruislip
Had an appointment to collect glass.
I arrived in good time to collect my glasses from Ruislip Branch.
Was told to take a seat waiting for approximately 10mins
Another customer came in to the shop so I approached
The reception area, the assistant said who was next I said I was she said take seat over there rather abruptly no smile and I get your glasses.
I sat down was checking the time because off car parking ticket had about 12 minutes left before renewal the ticket.
I thought assistant gone to get the glasses, no she had not.
She took the customer that came in after me and served
Them.
Check the time coming up to 5mins left before going out to put another ticket on the car.
She then came over to me didn’t say anything so I said to her you served the customer that came in ten minutes after me, and I already had an appointment.
She didn’t really apologise she said try the glasses on
Didn’t really have much time to see if they were comfortable. The carpark ticket expired
So I had to leave the shop she didn’t not engaged with
Never said thank or good bye just started talking to the other lady in the shop.
Will not be returning to Ruislip boots opticians.
