My 17 year old son bought a car from Leeds Branch, great he loved it. We were talked into buying Big Assist Warranty for 2 years which I though great at least he has trouble free motoring for 2 years we were told it covers everything, except wear and tear, unfortunately he had to make a claim shortly afterwards but they paid out and everything was great back on the road. Now my son is in the position 9 month later and has bought a newer and better car and we asked for the warranty which has 15 months to run to be transferred to the new owner. We were told yes thats fine at a £35 cost which was also fine. But then oh no we cant transfer because you had a claim, now forgive me if I am wrong surely it the car that is covered and not my son. If my son had have kept the car surely the warranty would have continued for the further 15 months.

Recently purchased a vehicle from your dealership for £13,400. My part-exchange vehicle was formally valued and offered by your team at £3,400. Upon informing your sales team that I would be utilizing my own independent finance rather than your in-house lender, my part-exchange valuation was immediately and punitively reduced to £2,600. Your staff explicitly stated that the drop was due to the change in finance, and i didnt buy the incredibly inflated warranty (always buy seperate online, its cheaper).
Clear breach in FCA guidelines, this wasnt treating me fairly. In fact, punishing me because i didnt go with their provider who is more expensive so they lost out on commission.
Go to MotorPoint, Trade Centre, Arnold Clark... don't waste your time. Constantly left me in store for hours on end by myself with unneccessary delay.
EDIT BASED ON REPLY. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE, THEY INSPECTED MY VEHICLE IN PERSON AND GAVE ME THE FIGURE OF 3400. BECAUSE I USED MY OWN FINANCE COMPANY, AND THEY DIDNT GET COMMISSION THEY ADMITTED TO LOWERING IT TO 2600.
THEY CHARGE HIGHER APR FOR THEIR FINANCE COMPANY, AND THEIR ADD ONS SELL FOR 1/3RD OF THE PRICE SEPERATELY. BULLIES AND FRAUDSTERS

purchased a Land Rover Discovery Sport from Big Motoring World Leeds under agreement BIG0079082. Within less than a month of ownership, the vehicle suffered a major, progressive emissions framework failure. Both Savile Road Garage and the RAC have formally scanned the vehicle and diagnosed fault code P2002, confirming the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) has failed and requires a complete replacement.Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the selling dealer is strictly and legally responsible for resolving inherent defects discovered within the first 30 days at zero cost to the consumer. However, Big Motoring World and their warranty provider Assurant are causing significant delays with an 8-week investigation and refusing to cover full diagnostic fee shortfalls at Green Oval Garage. This is completely unacceptable customer service for an outright cash buyer. This matter has been formally escalated to the Executive Office of Chairman Laurence Vaughan. I have all official independent diagnostic reports ready for the Financial Ombudsman Service and Trading Standards.

Bought my car on 30th May 2026, travelling to Leeds from the North of Scotland. I had paid to reserve the car, so they knew I was coming. On arrival the car was brought round and the first thing I noticed was the overpowering smell of dog, I nearly gagged (and I own a dog). The sales person said not to worry as they hadn't valeted the car yet and he would ensure it was cleaned properly and the seats shampooed. This did not happen. He even had the audacity to pretend to drive it round to the valet department and made me wait over an hour while they pretended to valet it. It took me hours when I got home to clean it, as it was filthy, the glove box hasn't even been emptied. The boot shelf was broken and there were no car mats, which he promised would be put in the boot. The sales person could not have cared less about the sale, he assumed I was going to buy anyway as I had travelled so far. I was told there was a second key and SD card but they would be sent on from head office. I had to phone and email several times (the Leeds office did not once answer) and I eventually got the key and SD card yesterday.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...
Never again!! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after today.
I arrived at a 12pm for a pre-booked test drive with my wife and children, aged 2 and 4.
This is the only time we had available to test drive a car. "UN-NAMED STAFF" (Ib**y)(Because big motoring world complained at this review because I included his name!!) at Leeds Big Motoring World shook my hand at 15:00 (3 hours after we arrived) and said congratulations on your new vehicle. We settled at £249pcm on a PCP deal for a Polestar 2, with 69k miles on the clock. After waiting around for an hour, after being told my car was getting valeted for me to drive away today, I was told,
"sorry we can only do this on HP, not PCP because the milage is too high... "
This was after he told me everything was sorted shook my hand and said "congratulations on your new car mate" after a painfully slow 4 hours of waiting about because they hadn't even got the car out, or sorted anything out.... To come away with absolutely F all.
I already know the standard reply is going to be "its black horse finance, not us" and that "Ib**y" was only giving you figures as illustration purposes only" which is all b**ocks... Why the hell would someone tell you you've bought the car, shake your hand, only to tell you "Ahh we can't do it now sorry"
Absolutely pi$$ poor customer service, just left waiting about start to finish.
HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU AVOID AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.... LOOK ON TRUSTPILOT, IT TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ...

AWFUL COMPANY WITH NO INTEREST ONCE THEY SELL YIU THE CAR.
25 June 2026
Following my original review, Big Motoring World attempted to have it removed by claiming it was defamatory. Trustpilot investigated the complaint and decided it was not defamatory, restoring my review.
Ironically, I only received an apology after they had tried to silence my account of what happened, rather than when I was dealing with months of poor communication, inconvenience and unnecessary expense.
I stand by my experience because it is true. Looking through the reviews, it is clear that many other customers report similar issues. I hope Big Motoring World focuses more on improving customer service than trying to remove genuine customer feedback.

A very long process and you are pressured into buying warranty when you do not need it.
Jack the finance man was helpful because the warranty on the finance company agreement was wrong it was for an ev and had to be changed to a petrol car.
This made it a long process.

I purchased a Toyota Aygo from Big Motoring World Leeds in April 2026. On the journey home, the vehicle developed serious brake problems and was subsequently found by an independent inspection to require significant brake repairs.
What should have been a straightforward rejection under the Consumer Rights Act turned into a two-month ordeal. During that time I was unable to use the vehicle, yet I still incurred the costs associated with ownership, including insurance and other running expenses.
The situation cost us hundreds of pounds. We had a full tank of fuel in the vehicle when it was eventually returned, incurred additional costs for taxis and buses, and spent countless hours chasing updates and trying to obtain meaningful responses from the company.
Communication was extremely poor throughout. Emails often went unanswered for long periods, and obtaining information required repeated follow-ups. Ironically, the quickest response I received was after posting a negative review.
Although Big Motoring World eventually accepted the rejection and refunded the purchase price, no compensation was offered for the additional expenses, inconvenience, wasted time, or stress caused. Not even a simple apology was provided.
Based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from this company and cannot recommend them to others.

Dishonest.
When purchasing an electric car on our first visit we were told that the 12v battery was flat and that this issue would be fixed if we would like to return and view the car 2 days later. On returning the car seemed to be fine so we trusted the salesperson who again told us the issue was fixed and purchased the car. On getting the car home it became apparent the issue wasn’t fixed and the fault still persisted making the car unusable . Despite several phone calls nobody at Big Motoring World Leeds would return our calls. As is our legal right we then requested a full refund due to the poor service we received and the faulty car. Still nobody returned any calls or emails. Arun, who was supposed to call us had always either gone home or was on a break. The customer service from this company if you have a problem is of the lowest standard and they don’t seem to have any issue about not telling the truth as we were lied to and called them out on it on more than one occasion. If you are lucky enough to get a car that hasn’t any problems you would not be aware of the poor service. It’s only when there’s a problem it becomes apparent. I wouldn’t recommend Big Motoring World in Leeds as it’s a lot of money to put at risk with a company that does not hold customer service or integrity very high up on their values

We were welcomed and shown round lots of cars. There was bo pressure to buy. On our third visit i was waiting for a link for payment on my phone and unfortunately it took well over qn hour to come through. However on the day of collection my link came through quickly and we were driving away within an hour of arriving .

I purchased a car from Motorvation in November, and the experience has been a complete nightmare and a financial nightmare. At the point of sale, I was assured the car was in perfect condition and had passed all necessary checks. Unfortunately, the reality is very different.
Shortly after purchase, I noticed a persistent rattling sound coming from the engine. Living 1.5 hours away, I took the car to two local independent garages to avoid risking further damage by driving. Both garages immediately confirmed a fault with the timing chain and provided a report. When I contacted Motorvation to resolve this under warranty, I was forced to pay out of pocket to have the vehicle towed to them. After having my car for a week, they claimed a "3rd party" garage (which appeared to be closely linked to them) found nothing wrong.
The issue persisted, yet Motorvation continued to deny it. They continued to claim no noise was present. In the end, I had no choice but to pay a significant amount of money to have the timing chain replaced myself.
Upon removal from a local garage, it was clear the chain was stretched and damaged. A major issue that should have been identified by any professional garage before sale, and one that would have destroyed my engine had it not been replaced.
Motorvation dismissed my request for reimbursement, citing that my warranty had expired.
Since then, the car has suffered from continuous, severe issues, including a failed head gasket, continuous dashboard lights coming on. I have taken my car to a local garage and this head gasket replacement is a multi-thousand pound repair. Every time I reach out to Motorvation, I am met with immediate dismissal and zero support as my warranty has ended, they don’t want to know!
It is clear that this company prioritizes sales over the safety and reliability of the vehicles they sell. I feel I was sold a car with hidden, pre-existing faults. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from here to look elsewhere!! stay away!
Half of the good reviews for this company are fake, read the bad ones and you will notice I’m not the first person to have been scammed and had to pay thousands out of pocket.
What should have been a good experience has turned into stress and financial stress
A unreliable company, unsafe cars, and absolutely NO support.
