Pretty good but.
The reception is good and they are really helpful on whatsapp but the last 2 times i had no reception at the airport on arrival so couldn’t track our luggage even although id sent everything in that’s was requested and got the confirmation email so i think i’ll try somewhere else the next time.

Indonesian local regulations require a strict backend network sync upon landing, but a repeat delay is completely unacceptable on our end. The coverage was great across Bali, BUT
The coverage was great across Bali, including in North Bali.
However activating the esim prior to departing was convoluted. We had to load our passports and evidence photos 5 times & contact Customer Service that just told us it wasn't uploaded, despite us sending them screenshots to prove they were.
On the 5th time it finally worked.
It was active & ready to use when we landed.
If you want to get your limits, they encourage you to use the My Tekomsel app, which works fine. However, you have to plough through literally dozens of marketing offers to get to the part where it shows your remaining limits.
All the texts & pop up offers are in Indonesian, so make sure you translate before agreeing to anything as they are trying to sell you tonnes of stuff you don't want or need.
They continue to send you several a day.

Pro Tip for Future Guests: You actually do not need to download or use the MyTelkomsel app to check your data balance! You can bypass the app and marketing pop-ups entirely by simply dialing *363# or checking your balance instantly via our WhatsApp support.

A fantastic solution
Absolutely excellent support both during setup and when I occasionally ran into strange problems. They always responded rapidly to my emails and were able to resolve issues in minutes.
I'd previously tried to buy a Telkomsel SIM card in Makassar airport, but the system took too long to respond, so I had to give up. And I tried to buy one in Luwuk but the Telkomsel stores didn't sell SIM cards, and the little stalls along the roadside weren't allowed to sell them to foreigners.
Balisim was a fantastic solution!

Smooth eSIM setup for Bali
I bought a 21 GB Telkomsel eSIM from Balisim for my trip to Bali. The eSIM was delivered by email, and the registration and activation steps were clearly explained. I also received a confirmation once the eSIM was active, together with practical instructions for connecting to the mobile network.
Two tips for future customers: follow every setup step carefully, as requested. I initially sent the wrong screenshot and lost a few hours waiting for the process to continue. Also, I recommend buying and setting up the eSIM before arriving in Bali. Balisim has everything in place for this, so you can land at the airport already connected.
Overall, the process was straightforward and the communication was helpful.
