The employee who served at the store was very helpful, and polite. The item came with an info book on how to set it up, this was invaluable as an older person I found it easier to set up my box. I am... See more

I bought and paid for a new bed and mattress in April, and organised for it to be delivered in July when I was ready for it. It pulled up on the correct day ik the correct time frame I was given, to then just drive away as there was a bus coming up behind. I thought it was probably just turning around to park a bit further down where there was room. But no, got a message to say they couldnt access the property and would be in contact to re arrange. I called them the next day, the next available day was nearly a whole week later, accepted it. Cancelled all my plans that day was given a 9am to 5pm window. It got to 4pm, when I received a message saying it wasn't going to be delivered today, get in touch via the link. Once I got in touch I was told it had been damaged in transit and was now out of stock. So my only option was a refund. So Iv now been without a bed for almost 3 week.

Rarely have things I want in stock, when ordering online it waits till you’re paying to say that they don’t have the item.

I was refused a refund contrary to argos policy.
The product was plugged in and tried for compliance but I was refused a refun, they said no refund if it had been tried. the product is too heavy for me to use and does not curl my hair well. Poor service from Argos.

Purchased the fridge freezer from Argos then had to arrange delivery with the manufacturer which was confirmed as Thursday the following week so I rescheduled my work to ensure that I would be home for delivery. 2 days before booked delivery date I received an email saying that the Thursday delivery was no longer available (how could it no longer be available as I had booked and received confirmation from them for this delivery) so I had to rebook delivery for the next week with all the same rescheduling of my work to ensure that I was home for delivery. I don't rate their delivery service and will think twice before buying something like this from Argos again.

I only bought from Argos for the idea of the same day collection. Was advertised on the product I was going to buy, and available to collect today at said store. £1.3k later and boom! Collection window is next week. Glad they stuck to the schedule

I ordered an integrated dishwasher, including removal of old appliance and installation of new one, through Argos but with the delivery and installation to be carried out by Hotpoint, the manufacturer.
Delivery drivers turned up at 16:40. One unpacked the new dishwasher while the other spent 5 minutes trying to get the door off the old appliance and then 10 minutes trying to get the old dishwasher out before giving up. They then left with the old dishwasher part way out, saying Argos would be in touch about the installation.
I couldn't leave the kitchen in that state, so I attempted to get it out myself and managed in 5 minutes, 2 of which were spent getting my toolbox out. Given that I'm a 64 year old arthritic man, I don't think they really tried. I suspect they didn't want the hassle of an installation that late in the day.
I'm now stuck in a buck passing loop between Argos and Hotpoint. I want what I paid for, and installed dishwasher, neither Hotpoint nor Argos are willing to complete the order or refund my payment. They expect me to arrange installation myself, which I am reluctant to do as they can blame the installer if anything is wrong with the appliance.
I ordered a package, I expect to receive what I paid for.
EDIT:
I don't have Facebook, Twitter, X, Snapchat, Instagram or any other social media accounts. I tried to contact you by Live Chat, but just got told to ring Hotpoint again.

Disgraceful store experience at Argos Stratford Broadway: I bought a steam cleaner, only to discover at home that I had received a previously returned, incomplete item.
Zero quality control: The product was clearly a returned item that was put back on the shelf and handed over without any basic inspection by the local staff.
Inconvenience and wasted time: Due to my work commitments, I couldn't return it immediately the next day, which completely ruined my home plans for when I actually needed the tool.
Appalling manager attitude: When I went back to the store on Sunday to address the issue, the manager's attitude was completely dismissive and unacceptable. No apology, no accountability—just a casual shrug of "goods get mixed up, that's how it is."
Questionable management: It is shocking that someone with such poor customer service skills and zero professionalism can be appointed as a manager in this store. A manager's job should be to ensure staff properly check items and to handle errors with respect, instead of showing a total lack of care toward the customer.
While I eventually got my refund, the way customers are treated in this store is disgraceful. I expected a much better standard, and based on this local experience, I can no longer trust this branch. Avoid this location if quality control and customer respect matter to you.

If I could have given zero stars I would have. Service is absolutely abysmal. Had to take days off work on 2 separate dates to accommodate delivery. The first time the truck arrived, parked at the entrance to my drive for 2 minutes and drove away again. Excuse given "road was too busy to make delivery".
Had the cheek to dictate when the 2nd attempt to deliver would be, no consideration given to offering a day that would suit the customer, no no.
The 2nd date came and went, another day off work, another days wages lost, and the delivery truck never even turned up. No contact from Argos, no explanation, no apology. No consideration given to now 2 days pay lost, no offer of compensation. Just the audacity to send a satisfaction survey by email, and a text asking for my review.
Needless to say I cancelled the order completely, requested my refund, and took great pleasure in telling them to go fcuk themselves.
Will not be spending another penny with this company. Would strongly recommend everyone does the same until they get the message, put the customer first before greed and profits.
