I usually only use Expedia but couldn’t find the flight I needed, alternative airlines made it so easy to find the flight and offered multiple payment options. I was skeptical at first but from now on I will only be using alternative airlines.

Extremely disappointing customer service.
I contacted Alternative Airlines regarding a booking issue and received multiple contradictory responses from different agents. At first they said they could not even submit a refund request for airport taxes, then later claimed they had submitted it and the airline refused it.

Delta’s own website clearly showed a “Missed Connection” warning, yet they kept insisting there was no issue with the itinerary.

Communication felt inconsistent and poorly handled throughout the entire process. Every reply seemed different depending on the agent answering.

Very frustrating experience, especially when dealing with time-sensitive travel issues and medical circumstances. I would strongly recommend booking directly with the airline instead of using this intermediary.

UPDATE:

After initially being told multiple times that no airport taxes were refundable, Alternative Airlines changed their position only after I provided screenshots from the official Air France booking page clearly stating that government taxes and fees are refundable before departure.

They eventually agreed to refund part of the taxes, although they still applied a very large cancellation/admin fee that significantly reduced the final refund amount.

This experience confirmed my original concern: the information provided throughout the process was inconsistent depending on which agent replied, and the refund only moved forward after I challenged their statements with the airline’s own fare conditions.

I still strongly recommend booking directly with the airline whenever possible.

My first time booking a flight and it was super easy to do with Alternative Airlines. They even have a buy now pay later option that I took advantage of, as this trip came on short notice. Alternative Airlines has really helped me out, thanks so much!

Unfortunately my husband and I didn’t get to make this flight. I had to have a heart procedure two days before the flight and I was not able to fly. But the ease of getting this flight, the lowest price available, and flight made in payments made my life easier. I did not reach out for a refund because it was stated no refunds. Next time maybe I’ll get a refund insurance for when emergencies do happen.

Its my first time to book by alternative airlines , but i like it its very simple and everything was clear by their side . So i wanted to thank them .
