001 Taxis Reviews 

Pre booked a taxi the day before to take me to the train station. Checked the app when the taxi failed to show. The taxi was 14 mins late. Called and was told that bookings via the app weren’t given priority and that I should call. If this is the case, surely there should be instructions on the app to say this. Second time they have badly let me down. There will not be a third.

I booked a Taxi for 8 people four days in advance online for a family meal. I confirmed it by phone immediately.
I then also confirmed it four hours before departure, again stating it was for 8 people.
When it failed to turn up I called the firm to be told it was 10 mins away! It eventually arrived 25 minutes late!!! The taxi only had four seats!!!
Totally ruined the evening as we had to drive our own car for the other four people!!

The worst experience we’ve ever had in 25 years of using taxi services where we live. The taxi was booked for 6am; the first contact from the driver was at 6.15am saying he was lost, claiming his sat nav had taken him to a completely different location the other end of our village: After much help with trying to guide him, he eventually found us at 6.30am. No apology, all sat nav’s fault apparently. We had to get to Thornhill Park & Ride by 6.45am to catch the Airline coach to Gatwick Airport, which was clearly impossible as it was a 30 minute journey. Fortunately, the Airline coach was running 15 minutes late, so we just caught it as it was about to leave. Still no apology from the taxi driver, who demanded full fare, which was way more than quoted when we booked the taxi. He’d evidently set the meter running long before he got to us. In order not to miss the coach we paid him the fare originally quoted of £30. I also called 001 Taxis to complain, but they offered no help; just said put your complaint in an e-mail. DON’T USE 001 TAXIS EVER! We certainly won’t. Complete scumbags, who take no responsibility whatsoever for ensuring their drivers can use sat nav, or for assisting if anything goes wrong.

Unfortunately left my phone on back seat of the taxi 001 cars my wife phoned my number the driver answered my phone and said he had it and would return it when he arrived he requested £35.00 to hand it over.I understand his time and fuel is not free but £35.00 no receipt was given for my payment.

In recent weeks since the App update 001 service has been shocking and appalling.
We always book our taxis many hours in advance to allow 001 to allocate the work. Taxis have arrived more than 30 mins late and with drivers recently parked outside of other properties where you can't see through bricks and mortar; yesterday's example was sat next door with no phone call, rang head office to be told sat outside; driver claimed he couldn't park outside of our property when you could've parked a bus!
We've also experienced 4 times in a row where drivers cannot be allocated for a job.
Really disappointed with 001.

Booked the evening before for an 0800 pick up. Driver didn't arrive and I was told that they had only put the job out for "bidding" at 0800.
Phoned 5 times and was told so much nonsense including that "I should know to allow half an hour either way from the time the driver should pick up. Naturally they couldn't evidence that they had told the customer this interesting 'policy'. I was of course late for something that was work important. Would never use them again. Used Go Green taxis who were brilliant! ==

I pre-booked a taxi at 12:22 for a 19:00 pick-up. It didn’t arrive until after 19:20. On the way, we stopped to collect more passengers, and I was charged extra for “waiting time” because one passenger ran back inside for a jacket — which took less than a minute! If anything, we should have received a discount for 001 taxi's lateness.

This was meant to take us to a wedding reception. Many guests, including us, had return journeys booked with 001 taxi's— not a single one turned up. Other wedding guests who were not drinking kindly then arranged lifts for everyone. Absolutely unacceptable service and completely unreliable.

Worst Company in Oxford
Twice now wait over 35 mins no reasons given!!!
Then when you do get a taxi the driver will always say NOT BUSY!!

I have been using their service 5 days a week every two weeks for the last 3 months, so I am confident in this review

I always pre-book and they are very unreliable. Do not use if you need to be somewhere on time!

I use them because they are the cheapest.even when paying for the priority service.

They only get two stars because of the price and the drivers.

Daylight robbery-extortionate! Charged £45 for less than a 1.5 mile journey. Reason given was that the driver had to come from somewhere further away and it wasn't their usual area- yet from booking to arrival was less than 15 mins so doesn't add up. Clearly in the area already. Even so, surely you charge for the journey! Taxi service was recommended by the hotel we were staying in but not for long if I have anything to do with it!

Pathetic, they charged me double pay for a 15 minute journey? So diabolical.

Even though the booking was done more than 12 hours before the pickup time, they still managed to fail to meet the time, when contacting the firm all you get is excuses that they are busy. I will not be using 001 taxis again and would not recommend them as they are unrealiable.

Booked car to take me to medical appointment 24 hours in advance. No show at booked time. After 2 phone calls a car finally arrived to collect me 25m late. The driver told me he had only received the call to collect me after my phone calls. The last time I tried to use this company (to collect me from the hospital about 2 years ago) no one turned up at all and I was told heavy traffic was to blame. This is not a company that can be relied on.

I contacted this company again as I was pleased with the service I had previously experienced. This time the driver had his meter on his right side so I couldn’t see it. He asked me which route I wanted to go and I told him the cheapest. It took a long time and he said the cheapest wasn’t necessarily the quickest. He could have told me. I told him that when I booked they told me it would be £15 but he quoted £20 and if I paid £15 he would have to pay the remaining £5 himself. He eventually charged me £20. He was very scheming. I was grateful for his help with the luggage but i like to,make up my own mind regarding tips. I’ll probably go to another company next time. From my experience drivers spend a long time working out how they can get more money out of you rather than just getting you to your destination ss quickly as possible. In future I will get a fixed rate.

Booked taxi in afternoon.to pick up early evening.did not turn up onti.e half hour late .rang office who was not intrested.had a call saying the was the drive.number was from office .would never use as liares untrust worthy tryed. to complain. Phone was just cut off. This was booked for my mother

Lucky to get 1 star. Ordered a taxi to take me from watage to Volunteer inn at Grove. Less than 3 miles. Wanted £23. Absolutely disgusting

Pre-booked and paid the night before for MK Station, they called 15 mins prior to the booking time to get an additional £3 payment as the App had underestimated the price.

They didn't mention that the driver would be 15 mins late! Resulting in missing the train and disruption to the onward journey to the airport.

No help when I called the office, no management available.

I would urge you not to use this cab company if you want to arrive on time.

Umar gave me a lift home this evening, very lovely guy and was happy to listen to a customer having a bit of a rough time and waffling, so just wanted to express my gratitude for the guy. Thankyou bud.

Complete joke, called for a taxi to pick me and my mum up at the hospital. The said they would get one, taxi called and said he arrived and I said thank you im just bringing my mum down in a wheelchair chair now. Got outside to find he left. What a dirty dirty man. I called again and they said he left because he had to wait. An absolute joke and my mum had to wait in the hall way as the bed was taken after we left. I’d love to meet up with this taxi driver.

the estimated time that it would take for the taxi was massively under-estimated causing me to miss my train.
