We have been curious about wines from Franconia. And we decided to stop for a visit at one of the vineyards in this area. So we decided to stop at Weingut Schmitt in Bergtheim. And this turned out to be a really good decision. We met a very nice and knowledgeable girl. She showed us around the vineyard and explained the process of how they produced wine. We tasted several different wines. Among other things, we tested a dry Silvander wine. And this turned out to be a very good wine. Never seen such a fantastic way to package wine in boxes. Each bottle was wiped before they were placed in box with wood wool.

Review on our trip: We had a wine tasting at Fratelli Vogadori and it was a very authentic experience. Since it was our first time doing a wine tasting, we had many questions which the owner of the was happy answer to! We were able to taste many different wines, to learn so much especially about Amarone wines and to walk around the vineyard. If you're looking for a chill experience with a knowledgeable host, this is a great option!

We had an incredible wine tasting provided by Daniel from Stairs and Roses winery on the Mosel. Friendly, knowledgeable, excellent English and a great sense of humour.

Wine was amazing and it was awesome trying out all the different grape varieties in his vine trial area. The kids loved it!

Our review on the winery:
We went there in a group of 4 friends and we were having taxi issues to reach the location, one of the owners picked us to and from our hotel so that we can have our experience as planned. The whole tour was so great, informative and the area for the tasting was MAGICAL ! It was sunset hour and the whole sky was orange, the wines served were amazing and the food pairing was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. The staffs, owners, guests were all very sweet and kind. We left there with several bottles of wine from their shop ! It’s a must-experience !

There are many tours and tastings available on winetourism.com in the famous wine regions, as well as in less popular ones. For many tours, the site first checks the availability with the winery before confirming your booking. This can take between 0.5-3 days, depending on the responsiveness of the winery.
The only improvement I could see would be a bit better descriptions of the tour or tasting on the site.

We had a great winetasting that we found through Wine Tourism. The winetasting was a five star experience (or all the stars in the universe), but I feel Wine Tourism tried to trick me to post the same 5 stars on their service, by asking me to copy my review of the winery to this site.

I don't really remember how well it worked. I would, if it was fantastic. But I spend some time around different sites, and to be absolutely true to anyone reading this, it's all about which winery you visit – not where you buy your ticket.

Albiana Winery, Slovenia. Our “guide” , Miha, (who spoke very good English) was most engaging and informative about the Albiana Winery project in the context of the Region. His introduction of the wines was appropriately technical when it needed to be, but his clear passion and love for his job added that final enjoyment to our tour. The charcuterie platter was delicious ! And of course we bought some wine to take back to Australia.

My husband and I recently took a wine tour & tasting at Bodegas Francisco Gomez l. It was excellent and highly recommended. The location, the bodega, the tour guide was perfect. The wines we tasted were very good and we did purchase a few bottles to take home with us. When we have friends over to stay I would drive the hour or so back so friends can enjoy a great authentic experience
