I took a Wild Frontiers tour called Across the Ganges to Varanasi
The itinerary was great, visiting some remarkable sites that were off the beaten track. We had an excellent guide and stayed in some wonderful hotels. I have been on tours with other mainstream tour companies. Wild Frontiers was by far the best, much higher quality, and I hope to travel with them again.

loved trip to India with Wild Frontiers
My partner and I went on a tour to India with Wild Frontiers. It was a small group of 11 people which made the trip most enjoyable. Our guide was fantastic and we had a full schedule of amazing and diverse experiences in Rajasthan. Many of the places where we stayed were heritage sights which were former royal residences we enjoyed immensely.

"A great way to have an adventure, somewhere you wouldn't have the confidence to travel to otherwise."
We'd had two recommendations for Wild Frontiers and they didn't disappoint. A fab week of adventures, amazing sights, a few off the agenda experiences, lovely accommodation, great company, an energetic and enthusiastic guide ; wouldn't hesitate to recommend WF.

Guatemala with Wild Frontiers
What attracted me to Wild Frontiers Guatemala trip was perfectly tailored itinerary, covering variety of areas and lot of ground. And yet, we never felt rushed during the trip. We had time to stop and sample exotic fruits, regional delicacies and snacks from markets and food stalls. From beautiful nature, archeological sites and different cultural experiences, this trip had it all!

Ancient Egypt tour
Our party of 5 together with Ahmed our excellent guide soon gelled through almost non stop experiences of the wonders of ancient Egypt. While the main theme was on the ancient history Ahmed educated us about most aspects of the modern nation as well as its more modern times.
The accommodation and were varied in style but always excellent. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail which, in particular, my arrival and the various transits from city to city, were made completely stress free.
Thank you, Wild Frontiers, for another memorable experience.

Above and Beyond the Normal Tourist Experience
We greatly enjoyed our trip (both small group “Slow Boat to Aswan” and tailored extensions) to Egypt and have nothing but praise for Wild Frontiers. The guides were extremely skilled and personable, the group itinerary was thoughtfully planned, the extension-planning process was attentive to our needs, the sites were breath-taking, the group meshed well, and the logistics were very well handled from start to finish. While the trip centered on the great and unforgettable antiquities of Egypt (pyramids, tombs, temples), some of the most special moments were outside the normal tourist experiences… such as sitting with a group of very young girls and admiring the henna designs on their hands, or being in small row boat on the Nile learning how the local people fish, or watching the sunrise alone on the Dahabiya deck, or dancing with the boat crew under the stars, or “helping” a box maker in his work, or observing a camel auction. All this happened as part of the group trip. Our tailored extensions were just as unique and wonderful… such as being the only tourists inside the gloriously decorated tombs built by the ancient Egyptian workmen for themselves, or exploring the small islands below the Aswan Dam by private boat, or visiting a workshop where local women were weaving fine Egyptian cotton into colorful scarves. We strongly recommend Wild Frontiers and can’t thank them enough.

Exceptionally enjoyable Nile cruise with addons
We very much enjoyed the Egypt: Slow Boat to Aswan group tour, to which we added a private tour to Cairo and Alexandria. All very well organised, with comfortable accommodation in both the hotels and the absolutely wonderful Nile sailing boat, the dahabiya, whose crew were amazing and their food exceptional. Very friendly, helpful, well informed guides. Plus the unique WF engagement with the local community, visting villages, markets, not least the famous camel market.

Great trip to india
Went with wild frontiers to India - trip covered a lot of places, both cities but also a chance to visit more rural places places where we engaged with the locals; we also covered a lot of experiences from visiting temples, sampling food at markets, taking crazy rickshaw rides and searching for leopards and tigers. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful along with the local guides used along the way. My second wild frontiers trip.

Northerm Oman
I chose Wild Frontiers as their itineraries are always a bit different, also for their customer support and expert local guides. There were a great variety of experiences to be enjoyed in this amazing and friendly country. I am impressed by the organisation on this and other WF trips, allowing everyone to get the most from the time available.

Wild Frontiers Adventure Travel…Knowingly Endangered My Life !.
Wild Frontiers Adventure Travel knowingly endangered my life and the lives of five other clients on their "Tribal Lands of Papua New Guinea " on the Sepik River in September 2024. We were put in a Dugout Canoe with no Safety equipment not even Life jackets for a two hour trip down a fast flowing Crocodile infested river. It was a high powered boat and it hit an underwater obstacle at one point and the whole boat just shuddered. Luckily no one was actually thrown into the water as if they had been they could have drowned or been eaten alive by Crocodiles, as I have already stated no Life Jackets were provided. The accommodation on the Sepik River was in a "Sweat Box" similar to the type that the Japanese used to Torture "Prisoners of War". Later on we were put on a Single Engine Plane for a flight to the Simbai Valley. At no point was I told that I would be going on a Single Engine plane just as I was never told that there would be no Life Jackets on the Sepik River boat trip. Do clients have to Die before Wild Frontiers do the right thing and provide Life Jackets on this trip and tell clients that they will be going on a Single Engine plane?. Both these facts invalidated my Travel Insurance as I was not made aware of this facts before I travelled. It is not a case that there was not the money to pay for Life Jackets as this trip cost £9000-00 excluding International Airfares. I also suffered from Food Poisoning at the Simbai Lodge accompanied by explosive Diarrhoea for several days. It took me ten days to recover. Only two hotels on this trip were of an acceptable standard compared to the amount of money that I had paid. The Wewak hotel and the Port Moresby hotel. The rest were third world with third world quality and standards. The same applied to the food. The packed lunch at the Goroka Festival was a joke , two slices of white bread , a lettuce leaf, and some type of unidentifiable mush. Fruit salad containing rotten Pineapple and a rotten Banana. Nothing about this trip justified Wild Frontiers charging the extortionate price of £9000-00 !.This trip took place between the 03/09/2024 and the 16/09/2024.

Astonishing (and so smoothly done)!
This past January I went on the Encompassing Egypt tour with an Extension at the end to St. Catherine Monastery. It was truly astonishing (the temples with gigantic figures, the tombs, the reliefs) and we went smoothly from one site to another. It was organized so wonderfully and our guide, Ahmed, was always attentive to how we were wishing everything to be perfect. For me, the architecture and art were so very interesting, and the traveling was quite luxurious and added to the experience! I was, and am, grateful! (St. Catherine was stunning and an adventure... )

Acroos the Ganges to Varanasi (Kumbh Mela Festival)
This promised to be a very exciting trip and didn't disappoint. Members of the group had all booked this trip because of the chance to attend the Mela Kumbh Festival. En route visiting Gwalior and Orchha was very enjoyable and the erotic carvings at Khajuarho were mind boggling. Getting to Allahabad for the Mela Kumbh proved more of a challenge as it seemed as if all India was on the same road! Our leader, Umed, did everything he could to mitigate our circumstances - even directing the traffic! We were well guided round the Mela. Some of us getting blessings from the Sadhus and one intrepid member of out group taking a dip in the Ganges.
Varanasi proved to be another challenge with pilgrims from the Mela having travelled on there. The morning visit to the Ghats was successful. It was perfect to see the Ghats from our boat and view Varanasi's waterfront.
Great trip, lovely group and an excellent leader.

Georgia - fabulous tour
My husband & I did the Land of Myths & Mountains Georgia tour in October 2024. So well organised by Wild Frontiers - superb guide & excellent driver. Accommodation was very good. Meals shared with local families was a wonderful experience. Amazing scenery, visits to historical sites & local markets & winery added to a great holiday. Enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked to do Uzbekistan with WF in 2025!

Ghana is a great country to visit and…
Ghana is a great country to visit and once again wild frontiers made the experience brilliant. The guide on this trip was well informed and attentive and the type of travellers that wild frontiers attracts provides some interesting and engaging people to share it with. Looking forwards to our next trip and all the interesting places we will visit. Oh yes and the home stays are genuine experiences with local people where the money spent goes to improving their lives. On this one a new school and protecting rare species such as pangolins which I am happy to say we saw on our night walk.

Best small group tour I've ever been on
The tour to Guatemala was the best small group trip I have taken in 19 years of travel. Our tour guide discovered ceremonies and celebrations she had never seen in her 30 years of guiding. A Mayan New Year celebration at Tikal was one of the highlights, which could not have been planned. She knew so many locals and had so many connections making us feel welcome as observers to these ceremonies.

Gorgeous Ghana
Just back from a fabulous trip to Ghana with WildFrontiers and African Ashanti Tours - swimming in waterfalls, boating on the Volta river, a couple of days in Kumasi - capital of the Ashanti kings (where I lived as a child and found my parents old house :)), night walks in the forest to see pangolins and bush babies and a fabulous kayak through lagoons on the coast where the bird life was terrific - as well as lots of other stuff. Thank you WildFrontiers and African Ashanti Tours!

Excellent trip to Laos and Cambodia
Excellent trip to Laos and Cambodia. WF are definitely at the top of their game from the office in London to delivery of great trips on the ground. WF is now our "go to" adventure travel company.

Heart of Indochina
This trip was fantastic. Hotels, transportation, sites, activities were so beyond what I expected. Local people were so friendly and I loved the laughter. I feel I really saw Laos and Cambodia, not just tourist sites, but local villages, boats, schools, and farms.
The Tour Leader, James, was the best leader I have ever had - not only did he stay on top of all the logistics and handle any issues but he was fun to be with, made everyone feel special, knew the local area, made recommendations on what to eat. His understanding of local customs, politics, history really added to the trip. By the end of the trip he even knew each persons preferred spice level and would make sure our food was just the way we wanted it.

What an amazing trip we had to Guatemala in January 2025! Our excellent tour guide Mitzi gave us so much to think about, look at and enjoy. Her enthusiasm for this colourful country with its rich history, smiling people and varied scenery was infectious. Highly recommended.
