We had an excellent experience working with Amanda to secure competitive pricing for our gas, electricity, and water services at the Galston Trust. From the outset, the process was exceptionally streamlined and efficient, requiring minimal input from our team while delivering strong results.
Amanda demonstrated professionalism, clear communication, and a strong understanding of the market, ensuring we achieved good value across all utilities. Her approach allowed us to focus on what we do best, with complete confidence that this important area was being handled effectively.
I would highly recommend Amanda to any organisation looking for a hassle-free and efficient way to manage their utility procurement.

Cold calling and trying to claim association with my energy providers. Disgraceful behaviour and will be reporting

I used Watt Utilities (Utility Preference Service) to arrange a business electricity renewal. They claimed they “offer the best rates”, but when I checked other options afterwards, competitors were significantly cheaper and offered more flexible contract periods.
I also don’t think pricing was presented transparently. The “final” price discussion didn’t clearly include VAT, and the broker’s commission is taken as an uplift in the unit rate — meaning the price you pay (and therefore your bills) is higher than it would be without that uplift. This wasn’t made clear enough upfront.
When I contacted them soon after to cancel, I was told the contract “can’t be cancelled” and that “the energy is already bought” even though the renewal start date shown in the paperwork is 28/11/2026. It felt like pressure and spin rather than straightforward advice.
Advice: avoid and choose competitors, or go directly through the energy supplier’s website/sales team.

I had never heard of Watt Utility so I was sceptical. Their agent, Brad, was very patient and found the energy contract that I needed, one with zero standing charge for a small user. I have received the notifications from outgoing and incoming supplier. The energy switch isn't until 5th March but is has gone smoothly so far.

This is the first timeI have dealt with Claire and she has kept up the tradition of her predecessors by handling everything perfectly.
Easy to change tariff. Knowledgeable and efficient
This company needs investigating on a very high level need to be put on news in the country so people are aware how they try to scam people out of thousands of pounds when there not there energy suppliers and threaten 70 year old ladies for money when they've done no work absolute disgusting.
Claire was very positive and easy to deal with.
Very straightforward showing me the rates.
Good experience.
I had a ton of people ringing me about business electric quotes and none of them seemed to think they could make a big difference. Claire then phoned me and had actual numbers which were brilliant. The process was easy, she was great.
Claire Bird has been our point of contact and provided us with an excellent and efficient service during this time of crazy energy prices!
